Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BahrainIf possible to put insect net in the Family room particularly on windows.
The beds are comfortable, there is a heater and bidet. They have complimentary coffee in the reception area all through out your stay. Nisha is very accommodating and the people of Batad are very warming. Though the place is challenging since it's far and prepare yourself to do lot of walking up and down😊 but overall all worth it were able to show with our children how the Ifugao's intricately carved the terraces into the mountains.

United KingdomThe property is a 10 min walk from the road, itnis the first one. It is not suitable for rolling suitcases, path is rocky, steep and can get slippery after rain
The view… ahhh the view! This is a very simple place (it is not a hotel, it is a guesthouse!) that does an excelent job in a place with little to no infrastructure. You have all you need, including an all day restaurant. Nisha will go to the next level to make sure guests are happy.

United KingdomThis is a basic place to stay but so so special, an experience that will not get elsewhere.
The most amazing view from the Inn we have ever seen! This place is basic so don’t expect luxury hotel but Nisha serves excellent food and can help you with anything you need. Bed was comfortable. A truly special place with the best views in Batad.

CanadaThe hike to get in there was a little more than expected especially if you arrive after dark. But the views from the Inn were great in the morning and the big payoff for the hike in.
Breakfast and the meals we had there were great

Hong KongThe breakfast was prepared promptly given the fact that our time to explore Batad was very limited. Aracacelli was a delight to chat with as a food server and chamber maid. Nisha was very thoughtful of her guests and wants to ensure the best of our stay. We arrived quite late at night and yet she made sure that someone received us at the parking area. She was very responsive and thoughtful. Manong Samson was very patient guiding and entertaining with our group who opted to see the terraces up close and personal and to explore Tappiya Falls. Batad is delightfully serene and a world away from the hustle and bustle. Our party learned a lot about the lay of the land and the Ifugao culture.

Hong KongThe net on the window is not really working, so at night lots of bugs will get into your room. Rmb to close your window entirely to avoid that.
It has all the service you need - food, massage, tour guide, souvenirs shopping, etc. It is close to the main road so you dont need a long walk to reach there with your heavy luggage. It has a really nice view and the staff is super nice and helpful.

Czech RepublicThe room had only beds, there were not even hooks so all our things had to be on the floor. No airconditioning. If we could open the windows during nights it would be OK but because of mosquitos we couldnot.
The view could not be better. The rice teraces just bellow are marvelous. Our family room had a bathroom and a toilet that was perfect. The owner is a really nice person, helped with everything.

GermanyThis are not really negative things for us, but i there are good to know. There are lots of little crawlies, but you're in the countryside so that's normal. Arrival is only for people who can carry their luggage (backpacks recommended) or can walk well. But you can also ask if you can get support for carrying. As usual in Asia, the walls are very thin, which means it is sometimes noisy, when the guests are louder. But there is not much what the host can do.
A small basic accommodation that is family owned. The location is a dream, right above the rice terraces. We had the family room and therefore our own bathroom which makes things easier. Room was clean, food was basic but good. Prices are a little higher but if you're surprised, everything has to be brought to the countryside by foot. Since you are in a village you hear lots of animals day and night, you should know that. You can go on short and longer hikes directly from Countryside, we were there for 2 days and three nights. We thought it was beautiful and would definitely come back and recommend the Countryside.

United KingdomBeautiful balcony shared by all the guests as a dining area. Really pretty. We had a guide who helped show us where the hostel was as we had hiked in to the other side of Batad. However, if you are entering from the road side then it is one of the easiest hostels to walk to and find. The view of the rice terraces is very pretty. Josephine was very kind and even offered a lovely massage for a reasonable fee. The hostel even had showers and a flush toilet (which was one of the only places we stayed at with one in the Philippines). Bear in mind that the food in Batad is more expensive often than elsewhere in the Philippines so perhaps factor that in to costings.
