Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaI liked that it was separate from the business of el nido. Was a nice little paradise. The owners also were very kind and even upgraded my stay! The neighborhood was lovely and the locals were the best

SpainVery difficult aces with the car, you will need to cross a shallow river.
First lane of beach, you can drink a coconut in the middle of the beach and take a night swim in the sea. The shower is without roof and with a tree, so natural.

ArgentinaCleanliness in the shared bathroom is a bit dodgy, and the water quality questionable, but it's the right compromise for the price in a small, remote village. Although the staff prepared our room promptly after a last-minute booking, they were rather unhelpful and seemed rather annoyed when we wanted to order food or drinks. We don't really know why, maybe it was a bad day. The attempt of corruption for having a good review on booking against a discount was pretty funny too.
It's much more authentic than Napcan beach. It's much more in touch with the locals, and not just a tourist-oriented village, probably because of the difficulty of access. The atmosphere on the beach and in the village is quite surreal at nightfall. The food was good and the morning pancakes were very generous.

United KingdomThe food wasn’t great and as there are no other options on the beach this was a bit of a problem. As it’s so far from everything we felt they took advantage of this when renting us a bike at a significantly higher rate than all the other bikes we have rented across the Philippines. A little far from el nido (1 hour) but if you’re not bothered about going out it’s perfect as super quiet.
Good points - location right on a beautiful cove which is deserted of tourists, most of the staff were warm and friendly, chilled relax vibe.

GermanyWatch out for some stray dogs at the beach. They are friendly, but might cary fleas. The staff does their best to keep them away, but they are part of the community ;)
Little beach huts and tents right at the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. This place is perfect to relax and enjoy the beaches and surroundings of the area at your own pace. It is located a little bit remotely, but with the help of the staff you can reach it easily. Don't expect luxury, as this is in a remote area and bring enough cash, because there are no ATMs around! The restaurants serves good food for fair prices. Duli beach for surfing is 30 minutes walking away. It might be hot, so walk during morning oder dawn or just rent a scooter :)

United KingdomWay too many tents crammed around the common/dining area. I’m glad I didn’t book one as it would’ve made me feel claustrophobic waking up and having someone eating their meal RIGHT in front of/next to your tent (not even half meter). So that meant a huge lack of privacy and felt it was pushed a bit too far… it actually made me feel uncomfortable… some tents aren’t covered in case of rain, and when tide came in, it actually reached some tents too. So a bit of reshuffling and caring for guests’ privacy & comfort over making cash might help here. Toilets are showers weren’t best maintained, but did the job and hey, we’re in the wilderness :)
The location is right on the beach, tables out on the sand for a candle lit dinner made it really special. Hammocks, little artsy shell pieces hanging around, colours… Atmosphere is great, staff is lovely, kind and knowledgeable - all questions always answered and they’re up for a friendly chat too. :) Food was tasty & always fresh, prices were good too. The experience felt authentic and very enjoyable. They upgraded me to a hut which was great, bed was comfy.

GermanyThe food was a bit inconsistent, we felt it was a bit like a lottery, some days (or dishes) it was great and some others really disappointing. Breakfast was good every single day though.
The location right on the beach was greeeeat!! We enjoyed the days just sitting and drinking coconut juice or a cold beer from the bar. The staff was really nice and helpful. They helped to make my wife's birthday dinner very special, as they even got a signature filipino cake for the ocassion and they also prepared Turon for dessert. Free coffee and water (hot/cold) during the day was a nice detail.

United KingdomLeaving us standing in the street with suitcases on the other side of the bridge is an absolute no no. We were given the worst rooms even though we booked more than six months earlier. The mattress completely filled the room, leaving our suitcases etc. outside on the balcony.
Great location and atmosphere. Good food, nice bar. Great laundry. Good showers. Good prices on drinks etc. Great fresh fruit shakes. Friendly locals.

PolandWe took a jeppney but I would recommend this mode of transport only if you have lots of baggage, it’s rainy season and you don’t want to get a scooter- it takes from 1,5 to 2h as it’s the slowest bus I’ve been on. Next time I would rent a scooter, go the road jeepney takes and leave a scooter before Bucana Hanging Bridge. This way you will get there in 40 minutes and you have a bike to go to Duli or Nacpan beaches.
I’m giving 9 points because BH is still work in progress but I believe that when Harry and his team will finish all the projects it’s gonna be 10!! We stayed in bungalow which is really tiny but when you fold the mattress you create corridor to the bathroom. Amenities are not new but this place is dedicated to budget travelers who don’t want to spend time inside the room but rather be outside and here you have many options: your bungalow has a small but cozy terrace, there are tables in common area and the beach with a hammock (beach with no tourist and umbrellas). As a worthy of its name homestay they also offer home made, delicious meals that even attract guests from other establishments. At the top of it guys and galls are the nicest, the most helpful and sweet people we have met in Philippines (they made a meal of clams we found on the beach!!!). If you are looking for a fancy stay BH might not be your place but if you want to feel comfortable, relaxed, nicely fed, taken care of and get away from the hustle and bustle of El Nido then you should definitely come to Beachfront Homestay.

QatarAccessibility... The place is not easily accessible to cars/motorbikes, you have to walk a little bit to the place... Do not rely on google maps like we did, it's much better to call them beforehand for the direction..
Their staffs are friendly and attentive to the guests' needs. I loved how we could relax here all day long and it's quiet at night perfect for good night sleep - Far from the busy area which we very much prefer.. They also have options for pescatarian diet, and it's delicious. They also arrange everything for us including renting of motorbike

ItalyIt is only one season that Harry and his staff are running the BH Seaview Homestay. Maintenance is in progress and the staff put all the possible passion in making this place better...so in the end the bad points result to be good points.
We have booked one of the bungalow with seaview for one night and the following days we booked the bigger house. The bungalow is very nice with a touch of rustic sea style. It is tiny as you are supposed to spend the most of your time outside. The bathroom is simple but there is everything you need The owner, Harry is very nice, and his staff superwelcoming. The atmosphere is very beautiful, the location wonderful. The chef prepare very good meals. They have many yummy options for vegetarians! Plenty of help in getting information about renting a motorbike, arranging transport and everything you could need.A little paradise.

ColombiaIt's far from El Nido town and transportation is quite expensive, except if you rent a motorbike in the town or manage to take one of the 2 daily jeepneys. The huts are beautiful but quite small and it's better to ask for an extra mattress

Lods makes delicious dishes. And Marry is mother for everything. 3 cute dogs protect the property and if u leave the door open at nighttime they are definitely willing to sleep in your room or even in your bed. United KingdomThe chef was ill, so no food. The stock of drinks was almost completely depleted. So I ate and drank elsewhere. The Internet rarely and barely worked. The hut is tiny, the toilet is primitive. Again, it was fine for me but keep expectations fairly low
The location was remote, a fishing village by the sea. Beautiful bay, very quiet. Helpful staff, booked my ferry ticket for me Did my laundry for a reasonable price The place is very basic and remote. I still quite liked it, but you need to be aware
