Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesThe location is secluded and not much people at the beach. Tho its a bit far from the town, it is better to rent a motorbike or take their shared car. There’s also a long walk to the resort but the offer for someone to carry the baggage if needed. Food and staff are great!! Nice cozy resort.

Germany-Very basic standards (sometimes shower ran out of water unexpectedly) and compared to other similarly simple accommodations at the beach kinda pricey. -The location is super remote - Food and shakes are not great at all plus also comparatively expensive. We always ate at other restaurants along the beach and paid around 20% less and had much better food, also there is no free drinking water dispenser (only mountain water which is apparently not great for non-Filipino stomach) - Scooter renting is also rather expensive (700/day).
Beautiful private beach and very friendly and sweet staff. The place is very remote, you can reach the nearby village from El Nido via 40min van drive / 1,5h Jeepney/ tricycle) PLUS a 15min foot-walk across a hanging bridge and along the beach. It seems like this beach is being developed very recently, not very touristy and mostly Filipinos living nearby. Make sure to bring enough cash as the only ATM around was not working. There are not a lot of people at the beach and there’s lots of space for kids to play (but watch the countless glass shards all over the beach), also much shades of the palm trees. We had a swim every morning! The bamboo houses are well ventilated and mosquitoe nets are working.

South AfricaThe kitchen was a bit limited, with only beer as alcoholic drinks and menu items often being out of stock. But there are also nice restaurants in walking distance.
Beautiful, idyllic island setting. It's in a fishing village so feels really authentic (complete with roosters to wake you up). The staff are warm and lovely and made us feel at home right from the start. It's especially great if you want a few days of relaxation, but there are also lots of beaches to visit if you want more adventure. We also appreciated how clean and nice the wshrooms were kept.

DenmarkThe staff was unhelpful and unprofessional. They spent more time on their phones playing music (loudly) and making videos than assisting guests. We had pre-ordered breakfast for the day we were leaving, since it was early. However, there was no staff present to serve us or check us out. Additionally, the hotel promised to arrange a pick-up service for us, but it never showed up.

GermanyI usually do not write bad reviews but I feel obliged to warn others that what they expect in this property will be very different, in fact much worse. At first it is very hard to arrive at the location, you will have to connect to the owner and pay an extra hefty amount for transport there. (In comparison: for a one way trip to the camp you will be able to travel nearly the whole island by bus.) When you arrive you will realize that there is no infrastructure around the property, and you will depend on the property itself for food and supplies. The prices are much higher then in the rest of the area too. When you proceed to your accomodation you will find that the houses have no bed(s), just a mattresses, are open, so that anybody can look inside, the public showers are not closed and basically on the way and there are dogs, even sick ones, roaming the camp. In case you brought luggage you can be happy if it even fits inside the hut, but it does not feel safe due to the house being of thin wood, and the very unsecure little bicycle lock at the door. Communication with the staff that is not possible in English, and the owner, did react angry when we asked for even just a small percentage as refund, because we did not want to stay after the first impression. Considering that the accomodation is among the more expensive ones, yet providing none of the services or even basic features, it feels simply like a tourist bait, because I can hardly believe that many people would really like to stay there. I can only warn that especially when travelling with children, or as a couple this is not the place to go. Even when you travel by yourself you can find better equipped, cheaper, easier accessible and friendlier places, where you do not have to struggle, be alarmed by sick dogs, let people watch you sleep, or rip you off. The proximity to the beach is not worth it. There are so many beaches in the area, and this one is neither special, nor are there activities to do.

United StatesYou have to be careful - there are some cement structures partially buried in the sand that are easy to crack your foot on. Prices are more expensive than town prices, though quite cheap by western standards.
Loved, loved, loved this place! Probably the most relaxing place I've ever stayed. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves is unmatched. You can walk into town, about 10 minutes away and visit the locals. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming - couldn't ask for anyone better. It's well away from the tourism of El Nido and a perfect place to mix with the locals and detox. The bay is shockingly empty of people and the camp location makes this even more isolated.

This place is wonderful, don't plan to stay here for just 1 day because you literally won't want to leave ever :-) This is the best place I have stayed so far, the managers are funny and nice, they help you with everything, the village people are really kind, it is safe and really relaxing. You can walk up to Duli beach to surf and try that beach too with a short trek. Home away from home with only nice people. I can't recommend it enough!!!
