Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaDeluxe rooms upstairs have a great view but no wifi, seems you can’t have it all.
Location on the beach, short walk from pier if you take the first right alley. Good breakfast. Bungalow wifi good. Air-con good. Scuba diving company next door awesome.

United StatesThe protected cove where baby sharks are found is part of a private beach and resort. The environmental staff can be overly protected about swimming and snorkeling around cove and around 4pm every day at the hint of low tide, they would close off the area and virtually no baby sharks can be spotted outside of it and deep. So, snorkeling is just so-so. M.I. is great for scuba diving and if you come for snorkeling, be forewarn that it's just ok. Otherwise, chilling and relaxing at Blue Corals is awesome and very memorable.
Stayed for 5 nights at Blue Corals and absolutely enjoyed the resort and spectacular room we got (#9) on the 2nd level corner room with an awesome, commanding panoramic view of the cove and private beach! Couldn't ask for anything more superb. Room has very cold AC, not that we needed for full blast. Terrace balcony overlooking the beautiful cove is huge and great for chilling, just need a couple of secured strong hooks to hang hammocks, and it would be perfect. Our receptionist "Jo-Lo-Mee"( sorry if I misspell her name) was very helpful and attentive, providing us of fins and life vests when asked for and with superb snorkeling just mere steps outside our room. She'll tell you stories of MI and history if you ask her. Breakfast included was also generous and fast, with decently large portions of tasty omelettes, bread and coffee every morning. Blue Corals sits on an awesome location on Bounty Beach because you can beach in the left of the resort and snorkeling in the protected cove on the right, chasing baby sharks! Yeah, I would come back and stay at Blue Corals. If given a choice, secure your room #9.

BulgariaThe bathroom could have been a little cleaner, there were a few long black hairs, none of our group had black hair. The sink basin was totally blocked and unusable, we had to ask for it to be unblocked.
The room was really spacious and the beds were comfy. The view on to the beach was great. Location wise, it was perfect. The staff were always super friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe first night the shower started to smell like egg… but then it went away. Also the pillow had a small stain on it but that was not a huge issue. The beach here is not so good for swimming so just walk a little further down.
Perfect location for divers with a beautiful view of the sea. Loved the breakfast also very kind staff. Cute ginger cats around the property too.

Hong KongThe bed is not too comfy. The place is very cozy and right next to the beach but the bungalow room definitely needs some improvement. If you get the chance just upgrade to aircon room, I reckon the environment will be much better! It's nice to have your own toilet but the room is quite humid and smells a bit moldy when entering.
The island is relatively small so everything is in a walkable distance. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe hallway is full of lizards and there was a cockroach in my bathroom. Partly this is to be expected but the plumbing behind the toilet was leaking so I think this may have been part of the reason.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. And the early breakfast pre-dive is really appreciated. Location and views from the room were excellent.

GermanySome of the facilities could use an upgrade - the toilet in our room flushed very poorly, the drain of the sink was a bit smelly sometimes and the light on our balcony didn't function. Also, the sea view is lovely but has the disadvantage that you hear the engines of the boats in the morning, leaving for the Thresher Shark dives, at between 5 and 6 am.
The staff was wonderful! Also, they were really flexible, providing breakfast for us at 4 am before our diving trip and made a late checkout possible for us at no extra charge, so we could leave the luggage in our room and take a shower after the return of our dive. The location was amazing, with sea view and short walking distance to restaurants, little stores and dive shops. We also really liked the breakfast and that it was really clean. Another plus in our opinion is that they provided feminine hygiene products at the reception at no extra charge - really nice! Overall a very nice stay

United StatesCould have been a smidge cleaner, in terms of the floors getting sandy.
Walking distance 1-5 minutes of many dive shops (2 minutes to Thresher Shark Divers specifically which I highly recommend). Very convenient for divers! The rooms are very spacious and mine had a balcony. On this island the shark dives all leave before any hotel’s official breakfast time begins. So the biggest perk of staying here was that you can order whatever you’d want for breakfast the night before, and ask for it to be ready at whatever time you want, and it will be waiting for you when you come to the lobby. Not all the hotels do this! So double check if you’re not staying here. The staff was super nice and helpful all around.

NetherlandsThe room is large but is lacking some things like a water kettle, hair dryer. Our bathroom really needed renovations as there was not a single towel holder (the one that used to exist was broken off. you still saw some holding parts where it used to be). The shower head also could have used a change. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t dirty, just in a need for some new paint and a few new items.
The hotel is super close to the harbor, which makes it so easy to bring your luggage there. The rooms were spacious and we had a big balcony facing the sunset side. Breakfast was included and contained some Filipino options, as well as pancakes or egg options. The staff helped to organize our commute to the island as well. We used a van to come from Cebu to maya port as we were short on time during our travels and didn’t want to take the bus. The bar of the hotel has a sunset happy hour. The staff was very friendly.

SwedenIf you live in the big house (not the bungalows) on second floor there is no WiFi.
Extremely helpful staff. We wanted to extend our stay but it was fully booked, despite that they did everything they could helping us find another room, they even tried getting us a room at their neighbours hotel but it was also full. When they got a cancellation a girl from staff ran to us directly and gave us the room to a great price. Location is great right on the beach, clean and nice rooms.

GreeceThe cheap rooms need a little sprucing up! Nothing I haven't seen in SEA but still a fresh coat of paint would go a long way. Breakfast options are limited, since it's free and again pretty standard for SEA I wouldn't say it really bothered me but I have to mention it. My biggest problem is that while staff were sweeping leaves all day long they did nothing about the tons of plastic right on their beach. I mean leaves are organic let them be and clean your beach. Also they are using some sort of plastic string to bind the thatched roof (instead of the standard bambo string I've seen in Indonesia Malaysia Cambodia etc) and they use a ton of it and then it just ends up in the water. I personally took tons of it out of the water right in front of the hotel.
It's right on the beach, staff are lovely, free bottle refill, hammocks on the beach, quite affordable! Best doggos ever!
