Little peace of heaven in the middle of Bohol. Surrounded by coconut trees, looked after by the best staff! The vegan dinner is a real treat and the vibes are immaculate. I was lucky enough to get one of the swinging beds. Such an experience to sleep on them!

I had a lovely stay, it's quiet, lots of spots to hang out and relax, comfortable matrass, welcoming staff, the breakfast was delicious and the family dinner is fabulous, even if you're not a vegetarian you're gonna love it. The morning hike to the Chocolate Hills was amazing. And the location is very good, easy to get to other places even if you don't ride a scooter.

Such a cute place to stay! There's lots of space to chill and relax, the dinner is delicious, the owners and staff are kind and friendly, the sunrise hike - amazing. One of the best hostels I stayed in the Philippines.

To. 한국인 요약: 여기 최고. 추가로 냐옹이들도 대거 출현. The hosts welcomed guests in a warm atmosphere, as if they were family visiting a relative's house, and breakfast and dinner were fantastic. The sleeping place was like the first time I had ever slept in my life, and I loved it. At night, a firefly flew briefly across the ceiling, which was great. There is no need to go on a separate firefly tour. Anyway, everyone was satisfied and the hosts made me want to visit the Philippines again. good memory. they are good people. It's true. I am Korean, I could not speak English fluently. But they understood. 💗💓☺️☺️☺️

Sadly didn’t get to try the famous vegan pancakes as they was out of the mixture, so no breakfast for me as it was just toast and bananas otherwise.

Loved the open air, I was in a cabin so didn’t get a hanging bed but was super comfy and loved waking up in there. Beautiful surroundings. So chilled out.

Really cool property, super great owners/workers, right in nature. I loved it, but no AC, showers were outside, lots of bugs and animals, so just be aware if that bothers you. Free daily hike (about 20mins, easy) to see sunrise over the Chocolate Hills. If you don’t ride motorbikes, you can rent a bicycle. Town (and food/restaurants) is 4km away, so you could walk or bicycle (or take a tricycle), BUT breakfast is free and they have an AMAZING dinner at the hostel for 150 pesos (it is vegetarian/vegan). They also sell snacks and fruit for reasonable prices

It got a bit chilly at night and blankets are thin. I didn’t even ask for an extra one but I’m sure they’d have give it to me. Cats are as adorable as they jump on your bed sometimes, so If you don’t like animals maybe is not your place. Shower is open and cold, but of course you are in nature so what do you expect?

The place is amazing and have such a great energy. The staff is dedicated, happy and you can feel they like what they do. They offer a free 5am hike to see the sunrise, and its absolutely the best way to see the chocolate mountains (I skipped the touristic, I had enough with that). Also free breakfast is pretty good. Dinner at a cheap price is amazing too! The place has quite a few of dogs and cats, and all of them look happy and well treated (not like in most places in the philipines). You sleep on hanging beds, which I never did before and I loved it. Everything is open and natural. And I was surprised on how clean they have everything even tho is in nature. I didn’t even see insects at all! Also, looks like they are thinking on improvements which is great!! I loved everything. It was an experience. I’ll come back!

    Nothing it was all fantastic

The staff cook a meal every night for all guests which you can enjoy for 100 pesos. It’s delicious vegan food and a great way of integrating all of the backpackers. Large social spaces and hammocks were also really nice features. Beds are on the floor in the dorm but fairly comfortable and include a net. I would recommend taking some earplugs for the early morning wake up calls from the cockerels.

    - It’s a little remote and the bus connections aren’t always the best - find some friends and just share a tuk tuk. This isn’t really a negative more just a you should know.

    - Amazing little oasis set in the mountains with an incredible hostel vibe many aim to achieve and few ever do. - Big common area, scooters for hire, simple but everything you need facilities - Tonnes of activities including sunrise hike (100p) yoga (350), cooking class (1000) and soon to start motorbike tours and hopefully some farm tours. Free breakfast and all you can eat vego dinners (150) - finals some vegetables. - Family run operation, the owner/manager is a backpacker and has built it around everything you look for in an experience. The rest of the staff are so friendly, accomodating and sweet. You can see why people constantly extend.

Absolutely beautiful! This hostel is a small oasis just a short drive from the Chocolate Hills. This hostel is so clean, set on a large parcel of land and managed by an incredibly friendly team of staff who treat you like family. There are a variety of sleeping options. Small, intimate chalets or an selection of dormitory style rooms. Some with solid timber hanging beds. All have compfy mattresses. The amenities are clean, well maintained and there are lots of wide open areas decked out with a variety of chair styles. Your hardest part will be choosing which one to try first :) The meals are amazing, they accommodate for all dietary requirements including Vegan. Breakfast is included in your booking, the evening buffet at 7pm costs Php150. Cold drinks, including beers etc are available for purchase along with a small selection of fresh snacks (nuts, banana chips etc). The staff offer (free) sunrise tours, you literally climb one of the hills and cooking lessons (Php100). Ease of access: this hostel is at Batuan, just off the main bus route from Carmen to Tagbilaran. Plenty of tuk tuks available to take you from the bus stop under Php300 for two people and will include the stop at the Chocolate Hills (entry fee for the Hills is Php100). Scooters are available for hire at the hostel and the staff will call a tuk tuk for you when you sadly have to leave the oasis. Location: central to the Chocolate Hills, close to waterfalls, Loboc River, and the Tarsier Conservation Centre.
