Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyAt first the Resort organized a private transport from the port in Tagbilaran to the pier perfectly. At the pier there was a boat already waiting for us and it brought us to the Island Cabilao. The boat ride took around 20 minutes and we had a nice view on Bohol and also Cabilao. We saw a few fish jumping next to the boat. After we had arrived at the Resort beach we got a lovely welcoming with cold ice tea! The reception asked for our passport and did the check in by their own so that we could relax with our welcome drink. After the drink they showed us our rooms. The luggage had already been brought into our rooms The rooms are really cozy. A big bed, enough space for your clothes and of course aircon. The bathroom are okay. Small but enough and of course clean! They cleaned our rooms and bathrooms everyday. On the way to the rooms there is a tiny garden with beautiful local plants. The restaurant was also really good. A lot different meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also good food options for vegetarians. There is not much to say about the location. It's a beautiful small island in the Philippines. Crystal clear water from turquoise to blue. What else do you want more? Stunning sun sets behind the mountains of cebu maybe? Or the chance to see dolphins with the first sunlight? Both is possible. We did an snorkeling trip and said to the boat captain that we want to see a turtle. The captain brought us to a site and after a few minutes snorkeling we saw a turtle. Thank you!! All in all I can't find anything which I didn't like. Maybe the beach is a bit small, but didn't bother us. All of the staff was amazing. They are really attentive, friendly and helpful. Thank you for the amazing time. I'm sure we will come back. I can highly recommend this Resort.

SingaporeSome folks might be upset that there is no wifi in some room but we loved it. Restaurant area has great wifi. Everything else was perfect.
Absolute great Hotel - Staff were amazing throughout. Food is good (a bit salty for our taste but good). We spent 9 days there which is a bit long since there is not so much to do but we found it very relaxing. Snorkeling right in front of the hotel, went diving a few times (nice corals and turtles, barracuda etc), and enjoyed the salt water pool with our kids aged 2,7,11.

Great property directly on the beach. Spotless clean 🪥. Nice big pool. Great dive shop for either diving or snorkeling. We are snorkelers. They took us out by boat each morning for 2 hours to a different site. They coordinated our coming and going. They have an onsite restaurant. The food is excellent. The staff is friendly and kind. Easy to communicate with them. The room is great. Nice comfortable king size bed. Nice big shower. Semi outdoors. Safe. Good AC. They gave us a floor fan. The website says there is internet in public areas. The internet worked perfectly fine in our room for the duration of our stay. This place lures you into total relaxation. The snorkeling in front of the resort and by the lighthouse is rather good. We really enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely return. Thank you.

SingaporeCost of transfer. Feels like an unnecessarily expensive cost. We stayed 3 nights and the cost of 2x people return transfer was nearly the same price as the accommodation. Given there is no alternative feel this is a little underhanded. For comparison our private transfer from Caticlan airport to our resort on Boracay was 1/3rd the price
Everything. Staff were incredibly friendly, location was ideal for relaxing, food was the best we had in Philippines. Also did 2 dives on the north side of the island. Looc was a great, relaxing dive site

Really calm and beautiful place, perfect for resting and relaxing. There is not too many people in the island and beaches, perfect for a getaway. The staff was really nice! We also went diving, with Ron Ron and Ta Ta who were very nice, professional, and patient. Finally, the food was amazing!!

HungaryNot negative at all, just one info: only locals live on Cabilao island, but you can find a lot of attractions on the nearby island of Bohol. (Chocolate hills, Loboc River, Tarsier)
A real haven where you can relax perfectly. Cozy cottages with a wonderful garden. Fantastic cuisine, with a super nice team. The divers are real professionals and very polite, they help in everything. I can only recommend this place to everyone. Rose and Mafette are the nicest people you can't ask for anything they don't help you with.

GreeceThe only thing we were a bit upset at first about was the pick-up. We arranged a pickup from Tubigon port via a car and a ferry. The driver was an hour late in picking us up, and also didn’t seem to care much about my wife (not helping with her luggage) and same goes for the Ferry (although they weren’t late). Overall, it was still a great experience and would love to come back next time for an even better experience.
Cabilao Sanctuary is an amazing place. My wife and I went there for our honeymoon. Overall it was really a great experience. The place was so quiet and calm. The staff are amazing and really helpful and hospitable. If anything, I would give Cabilao Sanctuary a 5 Star Rating only for the staff.

United Arab EmiratesWhile we took full advantage the quietness, tourism there isn’t getting full traction. Wish them the best luck!
This is our 3rd visit and we were finally be able to return since the pandemic. So we were sooo happy to be back 😊. The resort has been very well maintained even after such hard time (the pandemic/ major typhoon).

ChinaVery well managed resort, with execellent staff and great food. Most of the dive sites are within 5 - 10 minutes of the resort, so great if you are travelling with family or non divers. Very efficient transfer service from Panglao Airport (Bohol) - about 2 hours.

ItalyHonestly, NOTHING.
The rooms, the dining hall, the swimming pool everything was EXTREMELY clean. the staff was superb and constantly aware of every guest’s needs. The diving equipment is brand new and the guides are well-trained for every kind of dive, from entry-level to more advanced ones. This resort is a pure gem, lucky who can find it out.

United StatesWe spent 4 days at the hotel and during that time we were the only visitors. The internet didn't not work in the rooms, we needed to go to the pool. Lots of mosquitoes that seeped into the room. If you are a lover of tasty and healthy food, and also have stomach issues- this place is not suitable for you. What kind of food could be on an island where there is only one visitor to the hotel per week? There is nothing on the island to see, buy or eat. Prices for food in the restaurant and transfer to and from the island are astronomical. Diving is overpriced.
A picturesque island, very well-kept hotel grounds, friendly and welcoming staff.

ChinaThe transportation is as much as the room cost, everything inside the resort is more expensive, including diving. It’s really really hard to get to this place. They don’t allow you to bring any food or drink, and they don’t sell snacks, so the only you can eat during your stay is their food. But the stuff are very nice

ChinaThe wifi in the rooms was extremely weak and water pressure in the shower was very weak. There are no kettles or fridges in rooms, and all food and drink is a la carte. The only thing we did not pay extra for was water (and they give refillable metal water bottles). The food was ok, but not great. The kitchen needs to be trained to cook eggs well: we went to the kitchen to explain how to make sunny side-up eggs. We had 2 meals at the resort next door, which had a much better variety and quality of food, and was the only other option for meals that we found.
The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful! Make sure you ask for details about the day trips offered: we did not, and while it was interesting, most of the day was spent in the van, driving from one place to another. The bar was well-stocked, and the pool & pool area are comfortable. The view is gorgeous, with lovely sunsets over Cebu Island, in the distance. The resort is on a small island off Bohol, and transport from the airport to the resort was about 2 hours. Make sure you book their transport, we certainly could not have arrived without their pickup! The final leg of the journey is about 30 minutes on a traditional banca. The location is super tranquil and chill, but the beach at the resort is not swimable. There is a nearby public sand beach (3 minute walk) where it is easier to enter the sea. Make sure you have good water shoes for getting to and from the banca when leaving and arriving to the island.

United Arab EmiratesDiving activities are over priced for a resort like this. And in a very low season. They didn’t offer any discount knowing that no clients are in town even, I was the only tourist in the Island. Very strange policy. Beach full of grass and slippery, not really a good sandy beach.
To be honest I like how quite it is, But it turns to boring if you stay more than 2 nights. Staff were friendly, I love the welcome board, quite interesting. I was the only guest in the resort. So considering this might be not comfortable for night walk outside the room.
