Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Secluded yet close enough to the bustle of the city. Helpful staff, delicious cocktails (mango daiquiri by the poolside is the way to spend your time here) and multiple pools. Amazing spot for the beautiful sunsets, great massages and overall lovely holiday experience.

United StatesWhen we first arrived, the tuktuk ride felt like we were heading off to some remote location we hadn’t anticipated down partially paved, partially dirt roads, etc. In fact, the resort turns out to be convenient yet quiet so the initial concern was unnecessary.
We liked the cottages, the multiple pools, the staff, the restaurant, and the fact that it is far enough from town that it is quiet at night (if you don’t like late night karaoke this will be very important to you) yet close enough to walk in to restaurants and entertainment. What’s with Onsite Manager Superman Cid? He’s there to help you first thing in the morning, any time during the day, and late at night until closing - maybe he has a secret twin. He will make calls for you, arrange transportation, contact travel agents, everything.

United StatesThe tour group recommended by the resort left a great deal to be desired from top to bottom! Very amateurish at the scheduling office as well as the transportation to and from the tour boat. We may not return to El Nido because of this.
Very attentive staff that were very helpful. The restaurant and bar were always available. The head waiter was always looking out for our needs. He was exceptional.

United StatesI cannot say anything bad about the place, the staff not their service. Everything was great for me and my family during our stay. Even the weather cooperates until our check out time, which was fine;-)
The property is clean and the near town. The staff are friendly and the food is great!!! I am already planning my vacation for next year with them and bringing some more family to experience what I did. Shout out to Jenn from the front desk, Daniel from the bar and restaurant and the property manager whom I got his name.

The place in front of the Bacuit archipelago was stunning. The garden is well mantained and the swimming pools (one in front of the restaurant, perfect for the happy hours enjoying the sunset, and another one in the back, more private) were clean and nice. Rooms big, spacious and clean. Nice food and reasonable price at the restaurant. Many option for breakfast. Close to centre town: it can be reached by walk in 10-15 min. Anyway there is the tuk tuk from the resort that can drop/fetch you on request.

United StatesThe food was the only pain point. Breakfast at the restaurant is great and consistent, but the lunch/dinner menu was just ok. To be fair, this was my experience across El Nido, not just at the hotel.
First and foremost, the views from this property are incredible. It’s a perfect distance outside of El Nido town to relax and avoid the noise of the town’s night life, but still close enough that you can easily get into town. You won’t want to miss a single sunset. And the activities that they can help you line up were great, and it was a seamless process. Having multiple pools to choose from made the afternoons better too.

SingaporeThe bathroom had a few ants but nothing major. Water pressure is low but I think that's normal for the Philippines
It is away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but it only takes 10minutes of walking to get to town. The resort grounds are very nice. Three pools available for dipping and watching the views. Very nice and kind staff. Air-conditioned as well.

United KingdomThe room we had was tiny. You could literally only just walk around the bed. There was no room to put anything and the wardrobe is tiny.
The beach isn't ideal for swimming but there are 3 swimming pools on the property in different areas so it never feels too busy and the grounds are nice to walk around. We had good food and margaritas at Happy Hour watching the sunset. To get to the hotel you have to get dropped off by an alley and they then send a tuk tuk to pick you up and drive you along the beach. You can get picked up and dropped off here any time with their free shuttle and then walk about 10-15 minutes along the beach to El Nido town where there are lots of bars and restaurants.

United StatesLiterally there was nothing I didn’t like.
Cadlao exceeded every expectation. The resort is 5 star and the staff are so friendly. The rooms were very clean, the views are incredible and the restaurant and free breakfast in the morning were top notch. It’s perfectly placed just far enough away from the main town so it’s not noisy. But also not too far away where you can’t easily walk 6 min to the main road. With that said, you definitely don’t want to stay in town, it’s busy and noisy. Cadlao felt like it’s an Oasis.

PhilippinesWhile we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, there were a few minor aspects that could be improved. The water in the shower had a hint of a rust-like smell, which we understood may be attributed to the deep well source. Similarly, the pool had a noticeable scent of chlorine. Additionally, we would have appreciated having a mini fridge in our room. Nonetheless, these minor issues did not overshadow the overall positive experience of our stay.
We were delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade upon arrival, along with a refreshing complimentary drink. As we entered our room, we were immediately awestruck by its amazing features and high-quality design, especially the garden rooms. It was evident that great care had been taken to ensure a luxurious experience. To top it off, the buffet breakfast exceeded our expectations, offering a delightful spread of delicious options. We initially worried about transportation to the resort, but they had plenty of tricycles available, making it convenient for us. Our stay at this exceptional place was truly remarkable.

New ZealandThe access is a bit weird - you have to get them to meet you in a tuk tuk because it doesn’t have road access. Once we understood this it’s totally fine and easy to manage - it also means no road noise :)
