Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe closet is located in the bathroom! But that didn't bother us too much, especially since the bathroom is spacious and pretty.
Lovely rooms especially the bathrooms. Comfortable, good aircon. Friendly welcome by the staff, who helped us through WhatsApp even after we were staying at another resort! Easygoing place, even though it's not technically a home stay (I'm not sure where the home is actually located)

It’s my second visit’ The location is great, the accomodation was comfortable and it’s a home away from home! The level of hospitality is out of care and this matters most for female solo travellers.

CanadaI wish there was a small fridge and a kettle in the room rather than a communal kitchen area.
The location was great and the staff were amazing. Kuya Jepoy was always helpful and made our stay as comfortable and easy as possible.

Lovely family run home stay. Beautifully cared for grounds. Excellent location close to General Luna Main Street but away from main road/noise. Decent size bathrooms and huts. We didn’t use it but great to have a nice communal kitchen available too

GermanyThe only thing we did not liked as much was the kitchen. If you plan to cook for yourself a lot thats maybe not the right place. It is an outside kitchen which means it’s hard to keep clean and the equipment is very run down. The staff tries to wipe the surfaces as often but for us it was not comfortable to cook at.
We really liked the hut we stayed in. It is cozy and spacious with lots of storage. You have an AC and many fans to keep cool. The terrace is nice and inviting. The room was clean and the host family lovely. The location is short walk from the main road of General Luna with lots of shops and restaurants.

United StatesMosquitos were a thing inside our stay, but mostly outside on the porch. But what tropical island isn’t complete without offering to the blood thirsty insect kingdom?
The owners gave a warm, welcoming email right away and shared how they’re expecting their second child and won’t physically be there. But that we will be taken care of by Uncle Jepoy, and we were! We had car rides set up and our breakfasts set up through Uncle Jepoy through whatsapp. It felt like we were family on their property.

United KingdomLack of kitchen in the main accommodation. While there is a shared one available, it was a little inconvenient for us since it was outside of our accommodation and it wasn't as clean as I would have liked to be able to use it. During our stay, it appears that there were no other guests that use it so I would suggest a small kitchen facility in accommodations would really help (e.g. small fridge for water or kettle with tea and coffee). This didn't bother us since we ate outside and rarely, did we have the urge to cook but would be useful to have kept our drinks and fruits in a fridge if available. Something for others to keep in mind when considering this place.
It was one of our favourite stays of our 4-week trip to the Philippines! The accommodation was cosy with a small patio at the front, large bathroom, airconditioned and a clean, comfortable bed to sleep in. The staff and family were friendly and attended to all our needs, including moped hire and laundry. They also offer other services such as taxi to airport, surfing lessons and island hopping tours.

United KingdomA bit noisy on weekend evenings, music from the outside bars. Earplugs will solve the problem.
I have stayed 2 nights, bungalows are lovely! Clean and practical, comfortable bed and big bathroom. I was in love with the plants surrounding the bungalows, could sit on the balcony and enjoy the view for long.Host Jepoy was really nice and kind.Location just on the side of Main Street with easy access to all restaurants and shops.Additionally there is kitchen area where you can make your own coffee or tea,I found it really useful.

United KingdomFirst off all, there is no fault in location as its middle of GL. It just the road on the way to camonolo it's terrible. Lots of pot holes. Because we went on rainy season. It almost flooded on some parts on the road, were the holes are. It is muddy too. So slippers ideally if its raining. No tv , just be aware. But if you in this location you don't need it. As they have a good wifi. If you are tv maniac then this is not for you.
I like the whole scenery of the homestay. Its like what you see in the pictures its what you get in person. Its very relaxing and accomodating staff,i think he's name jeff/jepoy. I like the big bed, the toilet.its very spacious studio for two people. We stayed there for a night but it has been really good so far. The breakfast we order for room service its delicious and affordable price. We had champorado perfect for rainy days. Good circulation of aircon and provide 3 fans in the room too incased of emergency and all. Overall i recommend the homestay. If you like the instagrammable view this is perfect for you.
