Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandIt was next to where local people live so there were constantly roosters going which is out of the resorts control but other than that everything was pretty good
The room was big, bathroom was nice and clean. Had bathroom amenities. The pool was great to come back to after a day out

My husband and I had a memorable stay in Boracay. In addition to that we had a wonderful staycation in Canyon Hotels & Resorts Boracay. The hotel is very clean and well sanitized. But most of all, I admire the excellent customer service of the hotel staff. They are friendly and helpful to their guests. Thank you for your warm welcome. Will definitely stay in Canyon Hotel and Resorts Boracay again.

CanadaThis hotel is not near to the beach walk. You’ll need to walk or use an e-trike to get to the actual beach. Shuttle services only operate few times a day and ONLY if you signed up for a drop off/pick up. Otherwise you’ll have to take the public transportation.
We like how our hotel connects to the mall + Robinsons market. We’re able to buy supplies during our stay without going all the way to the main town or to d mall. Easy to get on and get off the e trike to get to the beach.

CanadaHowever, for the staff, I asked for a hairdryer and the staff forgot to lend me one. Also, they always had to be reminded to give 3 towels instead of 2 (we were 3 guests in the room). Bathroom was quite dirty on first day.
Breakfast options were great! The restaurant offered a variety of Chinese and Filipino breakfast meals. The location of the hotel was very close to local Filipino street foods. Also, a pharmacy and a grocery store were very accessible.

United KingdomBuffet breakfast needs improvement… not just with the food but also how they facilitate it.
The place is located in Station 1 which is good if you want the peace and quiet of Boracay. Also, very convenient if you want to go to the beach and center of the island.

PhilippinesThe location and access to the beach. Some staff are not so accomodating. They don't have coordination with the buffet concessionaire. Some of our stays in Bora are even will greet you on your bday. The staff here are all cold.
I like the facilities though they only have the basic amenities. If you want to travel alone this place is for you as it so far in the entertainment part of bora.

United KingdomI didn't like the breakfast because the hotel had a partnership with the restaurant below and the coffee was basic. There was no fruit option, I ate watermelon for 12 days (tasteless), the American coffee option was just scrambled eggs and the focus was just Asian food. I found it very poor.
The sympathy of people always smiling.

Philippines- a phishing scam email asking for my credit card details and paying again was sent to me via their official booking dot come messaging system (which deleted & denied but I was able to take screenshots of) - I've been to numerous hotels & it's my 1st time not to be greeted by the frondesk staff after seeing us infront of them when we were on our way to the buffet breakfast area. So I greeted them 1st so they'd know what could have been done as people in the frontdesk of a hotel. - A frontdesk called me in our room asking for the expiration date of the credit card that I used in paying for the extra person charge of my son when I checked in. Told them that they're not supposed to ask for my card details as that is under data privacy law and all banks are telling customers not to give out any card details. Very alarming for a hotel to do that! When I said "no I won't give you that because my card was already charged earlier, what do you need it for?" The frontdesk hurriedly said "ah okay po Ma'am". - the pillowcases had this strange smell (like a fabric not dried properly or a person's sweaty head). In short, smells like they were not changed. I smelled the towels and the bedsheets, they smell like fabric con. But the pillowcases were a different story. - there was no drying rack where we can hang our wet clothes. It is Boracay so a hotel MUST expect that people will always have dripping clothes so there must be a rack at the balcony. - no hair dryer. 1st time to encounter a hotel near a beach without a hair dryer. - front desk will tell you they fixed what you reported but they really didn't attend to it so you will have to report again and that's when it will be attended to like the safety vault that wasn't functioning
- DELICIOUS BREAKFAST!!! Not as many food choices but they are all delicious. This will be my ONLY REASON of booking again, IF EVER. - supermarket and department store attached to the hotel! Very convenient and useful

United KingdomWe treated ourselves to this hotel as we wanted to relax and stay in a few nights, the tv didn’t work which I went down to ask about the first night. They said they’d send an engineer up and nobody came. I asked again twice over the next two days and it was never fixed which wasn’t great service. The pool layout isn’t great with not many sun loungers and the sun doesn’t really reach the pool so we didn’t end up getting in there either which was also disappointing. Rooms had a weird smell and and WiFi wasn’t great.
Hotel was nice and clean. Great location 5 minute walk from the most gorgeous beach!
