The shower in our dorm did not have much water pressure, so we used the shower in another room instead. This wasn't too much of a problem though. The air conditioning wasn't very powerful but we had a fan each, so it wasn't too bad.

The staff were fantastic! They were so friendly and helpful. They helped me get my phone fixed and booked a van to drop me off at the airport. They chatted with me everyday to check how I was. When there was a power cut, they set up lights for us to be able to still do things. It's not far from the ferry, walking distance to Mount Tapyas and very close to lots of restaurants, shops and ATMs. You can hire a bike or book tours but I didn't do this. It was fairly clean. They had 2 really cute, friendly cats. I really enjoyed my stay here

Unfortunately we had two power cuts during our stay which couldn’t be helped but meant the room got very hot - luckily it came back on after a couple of hours! We also sometimes had an issue flushing the toilet as the water bowl was very slow at refilling and would have to be done manually.

The family were so friendly and helpful with any queries we had. It was amazing value for money. Each bed had an individual fan as well as AC in the evenings!

Miss the curtains for the upper bed The plug is in the middle of a wall. It missed a plate fixes on the wall to let our phone, power bank , the fan Missed a soap in the shower (I let mine) A/C not really cooling the place but it was not a big deal. It miss a hanging stuff to dry clothes and towels. The locker is not really secure to put valuable things. Nothing really to complain for that price. It s just little details that can make a better place 😉

The shower is not that great and the toilet itself has no sink, so you need to go into the shower room to wash your hands.

The Carillo family is super friendly and I talked with many of them through my stay. I extended also for several nights, because I liked it so much. They helped me organize trips and even put my phone in rice, when it had moister in it. Thanks again for this! <3 All in all an amazing experience.

There are a lot of roosters, so they might wake you up in the morning. This is however a general thing in the Philippines

Highly recommend staying at Carillo guest house! The family running the accommodation are incredibly lovely and were very quick to help with anything you need during the stay (Queenlay, more like QueenSLAY!!) The dorm room was perfect. Each bed has a privacy curtain and fan. There are also small lockers in the room that you can use to safely store items. They turn the aircon on at night so you’ll sleep comfortably. The wifi is fantastic. They have free drinking water, hot water, coffee, tea and offer bread rolls in the morning. You can also use their kitchen and store items in the fridge. Shower pressure was great. We hired a bike from them (and it was the best we’d used in all of South East Asia)

Not very confortable. I was the only one without a fan in the room and no curtain on my bed. Not very clean and not a lot of space to put your luggage. Shower and toilet are very old and not clean. But overall was okay for 1 night… what really was too much was the noise the people from the house made at 5am in front of the room which woke everyone up.

Disappointed about the pets, there was a baby dog always tied to the outside, it seems that they don't leave him there among his excrement, and I don’t talk about the chicken fight.

It’s a guest house with the same money you find something better.
