How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bedsheets made us itch a little bit. We're not sure if it's because of the detergent used, but overall the room is very clean!
Just wrapped up my stay, and I have to say, cleanliness was top-notch! The room might've been small, but it was spotless, which really made up for it. And considering the price, it's a steal! It's clean and comfy. The owners also arranged our airport transfer for us for a very cheap price. Definitely worth it!

We only stayed for one night but the room was really nice! It was super clean and the bed really comfortable. There was a place where you can get coffee and hot/cold water. Also really close to the aiport!

Some hooks or shelves on the wall (to hang/put the clothes) would be nice.
Room looks like presented on the picture. Very clean. Decent quality Wifi, hot water available. Very sweet owner/staff. They arranged the day trips and transfer back to the port for me. Located about 20-minute walking from Alona Beach. Scooter (virtually brand new) rental is available.

It’s a simple room but comfortable. It has a comfortable bed, A/C, and private bathroom. They have scooters for rent making it easy and fast to get and return. The staff is nice and helpful; even when they are not present at the inn communication through WhatsApp was very quick.

A bit far from everything but we knew it. There are still a few nice restaurants in a walking distance. And the AC was loud.
Nice stay for a good price. It was a quiet place except of the roosters (not so bad). The host was very nice and always ready to help. The motorbike for rent was in a great shape. There is a small terrace with water / coffee etc.

The place is nice for what it’s worth! The location is close to Alona beach which is sort of like the center (ie where commercial area is located). The receptionist (Lorna) was super nice and accommodating!

The rental business is operated by a . Family system with several Families, In this case, a lack of service activities cannot be avoided (!) Due to my Check out it happened that any other family member missed to ask for my room key (!)..So I had to take time one day later to bring it back ::! Not all service activities can be done without using any plan or briefings !(
Lorna was a kindly Staff, also very helpful with my flightbooking (!)

super comfortable, Wi-Fi worked pretty well, very clean and we felt very at home. love that we had a little balcony too. we rented a scooter and organised transport to and from the port which was so easy and stress-free. lovely and welcoming hosts, we would absolutely stay here again!!!

It is about a 30minute walk from Alona Beach but it’s easy enough to catch a tricycle from the main road if needed.
Very clean. Staff were so friendly and helpful, they even helped me fix my broken waterproof cover for my bag and organised a transfer to the ferry port. Really quiet at night and bed was comfortable.

Lots of shouting from kids and people living next to the accommodation early in the morning.
Everything you need. Very helpful and friendly staff. You can rent a moped through them. Spacious room and the best shower - good water pressure and hot water. Wifi was great. Couple mins to the town by bike. Bus stops at the end of the road.

All great!!
Absolutely recommendable! It's just a 4 minutes drive away by scooter, if you are keen you can even walk. The family is super friendly and they are all the time around. There were some problems with the WiFi and they have tried everything to fix it and even called the company. After a day it was fixed! The AC is working fine, super clean place, easy parking and there is drinking water. We would come again!
