Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWifi can be a bit hit and miss. If you are getting a SIM card globe works here, smart does not.
Anna, Sarah and all the staff are so lovely and helpful - they helped me to organise some wreck diving with Pirate Divers (here is a closer location to do the wrecks than Coron) and island hoping. They have created a little paradise with lovely home cooked food, hammocks and a fresh water infinity pool. Be aware it is a little remote with no town in walking distance but all the activities include transport and you can rent motorbikes.

GermanyHad an amazing experience with our short trip in Busuanga! Didn't even do any island hopping but we had an incredible island renting a charriot and tricycle to visit off the beaten places with friends! Hilda, Sandro, Joseph, Joel and Anna are very kind and helpful with everything. Will definitely visit this place again for a longer stay!

BelgiumNothing, everything was really perfect :)
The Cocovana Beach resort was the best place we stayed at in the Philippines, not only of the paradisiac vibe or for the amazing hut, but also for the incredible kindness of the staff, especially Anna. She organized an amazing trip to Black Island for us, and was always available to give us information and to help us when we had a little mishap with the bus, Anna is really an exceptionnal host. We were so nicely welcomed, and we were struck by how authentic our stay felt that I would advise anyone coming in Coron to come stay at this little paradise!

United StatesWe loved our stay here! The cottages are rustic but comfy, and you can't beat the views for the price. The family that runs the resort is lovely, and even arranged a tour for us to Back Island (a true highlight of our stay). Breakfasts were tasty too. Highly recommend!

SpainThe wifi was not working most of the time and the 3G was not connecting also. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend this place as a solo traveller as it takes 1h to go to Coron town to join any group tours. The alternative would be a private tour to see the islands which was very expensive. Off course, I chose this place without checking the distance to Coron town so it was my fault.
The views from the room were breathtaking. The sunset from the room or from the bar were amazing. The staff had high attention to detail and was super nice. Whatever you need ask them and they will give you options.

United KingdomWe stayed here (3 girls) for 4 nights and had the most comfortable and amazing time. The staff and Sarah were amazing and the food was delicious 😍 we were well fed every night! They helped us booked everything including our 2 lagoons tour and tickets outbound. Its a great place to stay in Busuanga for day trips to Coron and just general relaxation. Exactly like the pictures!

New ZealandWe arrived as guests and left as friends - we absolutely loved our time at Cocovana and can't say thank you enough for a wonderful stay. Great accomodation with much needed aircon, clean, and a view to behold. Stunning little infinity pool to cool off, cute beach, and surrounded by lush green. And last but not least the incredible staff, just amazing hospitality, top quality food and cocktails, arranging an amazing dugong snorkelling trip for us and being so great with communication the whole time. 10/10

PhilippinesDidn't like having to leave. 😁 And like i stated, they are still growing and developing after covid. If you understand that it's not a giant 5 star resort than you will feel the love.
Just barely open this place is incredible. I stayed here 3 weeks and saw them constantly looking to improve in any way possible. It's truly great because the staff is amazing and very accommodating. They will take care of your every need and Anna who runs the place is a absolute joy of energy and compassion. The location is perfect for diving and getting away from the main hub of Coron. If you plan to dive the wrecks, stay here. It's an hour closer to the wrecks than Coron and go with Pirate Divers. They are in the bay of the largest wreck and awesome people. This place is easily becoming one of the best budget places to stay on the island and you will not be disappointed. The location is right on the water with an infinity pool. Go be in nature. Meet your new friends at Cocovana. I can't say anything better about my experience there.

PhilippinesI had a wonderful stay here at Cocovana last December 24-29, 2021! If you are the type of traveller who wants to stay away from noise and just be one with nature, this resort is a perfect choice! The place is cozy, you'd literally feel the serenity of the island. Also, their food are all scrumptious yet affordable! Ate Hilda, who prepares the food, cooks really well. If you decide to stay here, expect to be treated by all their staff with utmost friendliness and hospitality! I'll give this rest 4/5!

AustraliaProbably best not to put your head under while in the pool (my friend got an eye infection) and it's important to know that they have a sign up not to swim in the ocean there for several months during the year due to stingers (jellyfish).
Good for cocktails in the pool at sunset.

CanadaYou couldn’t swim in the ocean because of jelly fish and the pool was extremely disgusting, looked like bacteria was growing. The mosquitoes were horrendous and they didn’t give you nets in your rooms despite the windows not properly being sealed. Also the power went out and so there was no AC. They lure you there with cheap room prices but then you’re secluded and have to rely on everything there which adds up. And even though it says airport transport it’s not free they charge 2,000 each way.
It was a nice retreat away from the bustle of the city. The food was amazing and the views beautiful.

SwitzerlandOverall: The name is a bit misleading, it does neither have a real beach, nor is it a resort. It is more of a hostel. We had a lot of fun driving around with the scooter, however in general it is not an area with great beaches or touristy things to do, especially if you are coming from an island hopping tour The review I am giving is in regards to the room with private bathroom. Room has unfortunately two issues: 1) smell of sewage (which is not uncommon in some hotels in the Philippines, problem her is, that the bathroom can not be closed of as it has a window to the main room. As there is no mosquito net on any window you cannot leave the window open at night. 2) Termites (again common issue) - which unfortunately went into our luggage as well as left quite a bit of dirt on our clothes and the bed
- Extremely friendly personelle - amongst the most friendliest of our travels - easy to rent a scooter from the location - beautiful spot to watch the sunset - nice entry area - room has cute design

FranceGreat view and good double room with view. BUT The common areas and restaurant spaces lack comfortable seating options. If you are over 30 and have back issues you might not find a good place to sit. The staff is friendly but lack professionalism regarding excursions and trAnsport solutions. The resort could be amazing but there is still work to do to achieve that. The food is good but the restaurant opening times are absurd (7.30 close).
