How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Would have been nice to have AC in our room. Be prepared to have bucket showers and to have no running water at all in the bathroom!
Great location and staff, and very clean. Arranged a great boat tour and pick up to PPS. Bungalow with balcony was very cute.

The staff was really nice and the location was really good too. The breaksfast is very diverse and complete. This hotel is the perfect balance between city center access and tranquillity.

Wifi not working at all within the cabin, only in the restaurant area. Bathroom after a shower keeps with water forever, don’t have a squashy neither the floor is properly levelled for the water to get drained.

The windows in our bungalow couldn’t close completely to avoid mosquitoes to get in. Furthermore there were some holes in the floor, so insects could enter. But we had a net over the bed to keep insects away during the nights. Lack of water at times.

The wifi didn’t really work during our stay and the shower was really low pressure.
The bungalows are good and have what you need, no AC was not an issue. It is well located walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The food here was really good especially good to try some filipino cuisine. We were able to organise a boat tour here too.

It was a bit dusty when we first entered in the room, but nothing that couldn’t get fixed by leaving the door open for a short time for fresh air

No hot water in the shower
Nice chill out area and bar with good-working wifi, the staff is very friendly and the island hopping tour organized by them was great! Highly recommend booking it with Dam Dam :)

- Very friendly and helpful owners - we booked the island tour directly here (husband is the captain) and the tour was amazing! Including breakfast in the own restaurant and great lunch! We liked this tour even more than the one in El Nido - very nice restaurant and free water for guests

Only cold shower (maybe this was mentioned and we didn’t see it).
The staff was amazing, we felt so welcome and they helped us out so much! We booked the tour with them as well for a great price and we had an amazing stay. Would’ve loved to stay longer than we did.

Everything perfect
Dam Dam and the stuff are super nice, really lovely and helpful. The bungalows are comfortable and really clean with a small terrace. The food is yummy. It's well located close to the center and the beach. We can highly recommend this place.

Really nice place! Unfortunatly not a lot of other travelers so no atmosphere. The restaurant serves really good and cheap food, breakfast is included and nice too. Beds are comfy, no aircon though but a fan on the bed. Recommend staying here

upper beds have the locker at the side with no stairs so its a bit of a struggle to get your stuff there, no aircon (there is a fan tho)

The guys who Run it are so lovely and welcoming. helpful with everything you need like booking tours through them, vans, where to eat and drink etc. The breakfast is also fab and the rest of the menu is great. had such a fun time with these guys. but also a very chilled vibe around the common area. beds are comfy but be warned no air con and no Wi-Fi. there is your own fan In your bed though.

the rooms hold the heat in so even with all fans on full blast all night, it’s unfortunately a very very hot nights sleep.

There seems to be an ongoing water issue and I am surprised no previous reviews have mentioned this. we struggled to have showers as there was no water, the water when it was there was also only cold and just a dribble. The room needs a freshen up, a fresh lick of paint in the room and bathroom would help. The price we paid does not reflect the quality. This was a private room.
The location was great. The staff were so friendly. The food in the restaurant was good. They booked transport and a bike for us. Comfy bed with nice linen. The garden is lovely.

Really chill and cool place, better than expected. It was a nice surprise when we arrived. Staff is amazing, very welcoming and helpful. The private bungalow was comfy, the coffee and restaurant area is really nice to hang out too with new friends. Out of the main town road so pretty quite at night.

We spent 4 fantastic nights in a beautiful and clean bungalow. The owner and her team were very kind, very helpful in all we needed (tours, scooter, information, etc) so we had a great experience with them. The atmosphere was magic and peaceful. Stayed in a private room, great sized cabin with good air conditioning and well functioning bathroom facilities. In a good location. Highlight is the staff. From the moment you walk in until you leave they really go out of your way to feel comfortable and welcome. When I fell ill in the middle of the night Dam Dam was very calm and caring towards me. Would 100% recommend this place.
