How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No fridge in the rooms to keep medicine or drinks cold not much available on the menu air conditioning needed servicing
Lovely staff nice clean hotel but no fridge in the rooms to store needed medication & the boss refused to fit one so some things were ruined the restaurant served nice food when there was anything available as most of the menu was unavailable so the kitchen is not kept stocked, all the girls there were great, really nice & so helpful. It was pretty clean showers weren't always hot but that's island life I suppose beds were comfy & even had secure parking for the residents great value for money if you do stay here you will need transport though

Location was a bit out of the way from walking distance to things, but easily sorted if you rent a scooter at a reasonable price!
Rooms were clean and the staff were welcoming and so helpful - helped us to get to the airport on time by booking a tuk-tuk for us and also assisted in sorting a scooter for rental very quickly!

The room is a bit small, but comfortable
Very clean room and friendly stuff. they have with booking tricycles for us and even helped to hall down the bus. There is a restaurant downstairs and nice soups.

The WiFi in the room was terrible. Kept losing signal and then stopped completely. Rooms aren’t soundproofed so can hear the staff coming in at 6am setting up the restaurant

No hairdryer. Beds had duvets, so you were roasting if you didn't have air con on ... not very sustainable as they seem to think. Breakfast was poor. Was surprised to be offered oranges and apples with no taste as fruit Philippines has amazing different fruit like Mango etc.
Comfortable mattress and friendly staff. Rented a motorbike from the hotel, a little cheaper than from the other places.

The hotel is new. We love the breakfast, it exceeded our expectations. The location is good too. Its very convenient that the hotel has its own cafe that serves delicious food and coffee. There are also nearby restaurants to choose from.

The noise of construction during the time was a little bothersome. And the WiFi wasn't very good. But overall it was a decent stay for the price.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and anytime we had a problem they were there and willing to help

Nothing major. Suggest to probably have an elevator - to ease out carrying heavy luggage to 2nd or 3rd floor (where assigned room is located).
The room is clean and well-maintained. Staff are very polite and provide us with excellent service. Transaction was smooth, even waited for us to arrive late at night.

I was not happy with the staff they were very dismissive to me. I had a few issues with the property and they did not help or reassure me. Sounded like someone was breaking into my room one night and no one answered the phone on reception which made me feel extremely unsafe. They also failed to show me the CCTV of the right time I was asking for and said they did not have access. They also made me pay extra for a guest for one night and before this said they couldn’t stay even thought they knew and left me in a very difficult situation. I also had my ear drum burst in the night and I told them but when I left they tried to charge me loads of money for staining the pillow.
I liked the location and the room was good value for money.

We had the budget room which is very budget compared to the others. If I stayed again I would pay the extra to have a nicer room and shower like the pictures
The breakfast included was nice and so were the staff

Everything was perfect! The rooms are clean and spacious, beds are comfy, TV has Netflix, breakfast is delicious, staff are friendly and sweet, plus there’s a fantastic restaurant just opposite with live music! We had a fantastic stay and will be back again :)

No window in the room. The staff did not speak English that well. The café served frozen Lasagna .
