Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkThe shower and sink had some issues but nothing compared to other properties in the Philippines. Hot and nice shower
The property is located just outside of the main town, it takes approx 10 min to walk along the beach. This makes it a very calm place with a good nights sleep with a nice air condition. Sweet personnel that helped with our laundry. We walked to the main city to grab a tricycle every time we wanted to go somewhere.

Nice quiet, secluded location. Yet within walking distance to restaurants and bars, the owners went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of.

United KingdomThe roosters like to wake up early but this is typical in the Philippines we are learning!
Lovely staff team who were always on hand and booked us a great boat trip at short notice Beautifully decorated Super comfy bed Luxurious bathroom Lots of space Kettle and kitchen area although we only made hot drinks The walk to town has magnificent views and is no hardship at all. It’s such a lovely area with a village feel and good food places too like Mia’s for dinner and breakfast at Bella Athena Garden

United KingdomThe front desk was usually unmanned and it was difficult to find staff The water pump kept stopping so we would lose water in the middle of a shower. Though this seemed to be a problem in the whole neighbourhood so not the hotel’s fault. Not much in the immediate area
Great apartment style room with large bathroom, walk in shower, lots of space, air fryer, cook top, fridge, etc. Friendly staff In a quiet area Comfortable bed

United KingdomIt's a 15 minute walk from the property to El Nido. Not a difficult one but a little longer than we would have liked.
The room was finished amazingly! The decor was incredible from polished dark wood steps up to our bed, our rain forest themed bathroom, cooking facilities were great (although we didn't use them). The room/area was massive too! It was away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of El Nido so you had the peace and quiet to actually sleep as well. The staff were happy to help with anything and answer any questions we had about the area too.

NetherlandsThe airconditioning was leaking. We gave notice but didn’t have the feeling they checked the next day as they said they would. Little expensive but guess that’s everywhere in El Nido.

This is a quiet part of El Nido but only takes about 10 minutes to walk into the main town. This part of town has the best view of Cadlao island. The rooms here are beautiful - so much nicer than we were expecting! Good kitchen facilities, spacious bathrooms and comfortable bed. There was a smart TV and games like scrabble and chess.

AustraliaIt’s worth noting the walk back at night in parts is very dark- between the beach and village starting. It never felt unsafe, and not too far, but maybe I would have felt different if I was walking alone.
This property was great. It was really spacious, quirky and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. We liked the location, it is maybe a 10/15 minute walk to the main town, but we enjoyed the walk and it was much quieter down this end of the town. If during high tide there is still space to walk on the beach- you might just get splashed a little. But honestly this was no problem. We drove scooters along here in the day, and a trike got through no problem when we arrived. Thank you, great stay.

I stayed in the deluxe suite for two nights during Jan 2024 with two children ages 8 & 13. The apartments are a bit off the beaten track as other reviews say, it’s not far from things at all but having to cross the beach to get to the property can make it difficult to catch a tuk tuk, they do offer transfers but there isn’t always someone at reception to help with this so me and the kids walked it. Not far but in the heat and with kids can be a lot. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations and the pictures do not do it justice. It had everything we needed but one thing I would say as someone who used all the cooking equipment is that the power outlets are not in the kitchen and many of the downstairs ones didn’t seem to work at all so had to plug the kettle in under the tv and same with the air fryer but that is not a big deal just a side note. The shower was nice, not great pressure and warm but not hot although that’s to be expected from smaller places and so we didn’t expect any different. The beach that is close to the apartments is not for swimming but is stunning none the less. Breathtaking views all around. Aircon was sufficient after it had been running a while but the room doesn’t get super cold. Overall we had a beautiful stay here and the hospitality was great. Any questions we had or help we needed was never too much to ask. Loved that there was so much cooking facilities available in the room this came in handy with two kids. We popped to the local supermarket and stocked up and actually didn’t eat out apart from on our tour. WiFi was the best we have found so far in the Philippines.

South AfricaSo this isn’t bad but maybe I should leave this here to be prepared and avoid the confusion I faced. When you arrived to El Nido most likely using a shuttle from Puerto Princesa. The shuttle will stop on what looks like a random street, this is actually where a tricycle driver will fetch you from as the shuttle cannot access the road getting to the place. Once the tricycle driver fetches you, be prepared for a short walk and if the tide is high you will have to walk on the beach in the water (at first I was upset but honestly looking back this was such an adventure). Once you get to the other side to the tiny road the tricycle driver will load you and your bags into his tricycle and drive you to the place. It was a fun adventure but I was a little grumpy as I was not prepared for it after a long 6 hour shuttle ride. Hoping this helps someone else be prepared :) Also not bad but be prepared for a 15-20min walk to the action of the bars and restaurants. I didn’t mind because it’s a beautiful peaceful walk but keep in mind the beach walk and if the tide may be high. Also if you rent a scooter you will need to be comfortable riding it on the sand of beach as that is the only way to and from the place. Also try to familiarise yourself with the place during the day so you don’t get lost at night because all the little streets look really similar and I got lost the first night haha
The entire vibe of this place matched mine. It’s was decorated so perfectly. I couldn’t believe how big the space was. Initially when I booked it I thought the bottom area was a common area but lucky me I had the entire place to myself. The place has everything you need even a kitchen! That’s hard to find in most places I stayed. The view from the bedroom is really special. The little outside area by the room was nice to have to get some fresh air. The bathroom is massive and clean. I loved the shower - party for one in there haha. I felt really at home and comfortable staying here. The staff were helpful even when I had a little issue getting there on the first night. They also helped me with my laundry. I highly recommend this stay! The WiFi actually works here!

GreeceI recently had the pleasure of booking a stay at the "Hidden of Cailan Inn," and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the apartment, I was captivated by its glorious aesthetic. The spaces were incredibly spacious, allowing for a comfortable and relaxing stay. What truly made it remarkable was the outside area, tucked away from the city center, surrounded by lush greenery that made me feel like I was in a peaceful forest retreat. The cleanliness and coziness of the apartment were impeccable. Every corner was meticulously maintained, and it was equipped with everything I needed to feel right at home. The attention to detail and the thoughtful provision of amenities truly enhanced the overall experience. It was evident that the hosts took great pride in ensuring their guests' comfort and satisfaction. One aspect that stood out was the outstanding internet speed. As a traveler relying heavily on connectivity, I was pleasantly surprised by the fast and reliable internet provided at the inn. This allowed me to stay connected, catch up on work, and easily access information and entertainment without any disruptions. In all my travels throughout the Philippines, the "Hidden of Cailan Inn" has undoubtedly provided me with the best accommodation experience. The combination of its glorious aesthetic, spaciousness, serene surroundings, cleanliness, and provision of all necessary amenities made it a truly exceptional stay. I highly recommend the "Hidden of Cailan Inn" to anyone seeking a tranquil and luxurious retreat away from the bustling city. It exceeded all my expectations and left me with cherished memories of my time in Ph.

United KingdomWe weren’t aware that you have to go across a beach (which is completely covered at high tide) and then a further 10 minute walk on a partly muddy road to access the property. Although we were messaged before arrival asking our check in time it wasn’t made clear the this was asked so they could organise transport for us. We appreciate them organising a tuk tuk on our departure (to the centre of town) and think it is great they offer this complimentary service on arrival / departure it just needs to be communicated clearer (even on departure we weren’t sure until we saw it after check out). If you are people who want to go into town for dinner ever night (like us) be aware of the tide as the hotel gets completely cut off (motorbikes can’t get through) and you will get soaked if you walk it. Otherthan this though we LOVED the stay and the staff were so so friendly couldn’t complain about anything else !
We loved the studio apartment! although we didn’t use it was nice to have the kitchen! A really lovely property and with a motorbike a good commute to town!
