Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaThe internet connection is very very limited (both wifi and the local sim card). The shower of our family bungalow was inconvenient for use, as a 1-minute shower resulted in a flooded bathroom. But the shared shower is also available to use, so finally, this was not a big problem for us.
Very good food, serene and peaceful environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially with the transport organization. Nice things to visit around (mangroves, ille cave, Napcan beach...), cca 20-30 min away with a scooter. Note that the resort location is quite remote, so renting a scooter (or hiring a tricycle) is necessary for going around. However it can be easily arranged at the reception desk.

GermanyIt was exceptionally windy the night I stayed. They had extra blinds, but given that the whole room is open, it was very breezy and quite noisy. This is just part of the experience and.not a complaint, more just a warning for people who aren't so into outdoors sleeping - this is a very outdoors setup.
This place was just so perfect! From the moment I arrived I felt at home and super comfortable. A team member, Bebe, checked me in, gave me a glass of juice and showed me the ropes. The room was basic in it's provisions but so so nice! I had a sea view, where I could watch the mountains fade in the sun. There was a swing seat on my balcony to sit and relax, and inside the room I was comfortable in the bed, with mosquitos. The bathroom is also very basic with a weak dribble shower, but that wasn't really a bother, especially after waking up with that view of the sunrise.

DenmarkNot really anything. But if you are going to El Nido town I would recommend taking a tricycle and not the shared van that they might recommend (2,5 hours in a cramped car and a lot of detours)
This place is really incredible! Oh, the sunrises - they are amazing! The staff is so helpful and kind, happy to help with any requests. It is the perfect combination of primitive, off-the-grid living and comfortable hotel. Would recommend this place to anyone who would like to relax and get away from the city

United StatesI had originally booked a budget cottage but was very disappointed with it. Owner was able to switch me to tent at the lower tent price. Cottages need more improvements to interiors and a cement pad not dusty dirt in front. Not the owners fault but a home is being built next door so there is some daytime construction noise.
Erlittop is set on a hill looking out over the ocean. I stayed in the tents which were nicely situated and had an exterior roof to protect from sun. Also had chairs, table and hammok. The mattress in tent was comfortable. Nice sunrise over ocean in the mornings. The larger bungalows looked nice but I did not stay in them. I would reccommend coming by motorbike so you can tour the area.

PortugalOh, the mosquitos...but the bungalows have nets and we bought insect incense in the town, which really helped!
Erlittop is a paradise!! We stayed for 3 days and it's an awesome place to relax. The bungalows are very nice and confortable, the food is great and the staff are wonderful. We also had a really good massage :) All the bungalows are faced East and we could see amazing sunrises. The host - his name is Cromwell, was exceptional and even drove us to Puerto Princesa a few days after our stay!! We truly recommend Erlittop!

New ZealandImportant to note there are plenty of lizards and insects around, as you are in the jungle, but it is all a part of it!
Great spot in Sibaltan. We got scooters from el nido here and would highly recommend. You are at one with nature, there are mosquito screens over the bed which are great for at night. Good food options here. The staff are all really lovely and help with any questions. Would also recommend going to duli beach.

GermanyThe laundry service, unfortunately, had a considerable delay. We handed in our laundry upon arrival for our three-night stay, but we received our clothes back during check-out, and they were still damp. The massage experience was decent, though somewhat awkward and lacking in friendliness. The massage therapist provided minimal guidance or communication regarding the session's progression or completion. In terms of value, I'd say it's a bit on the pricey side for the service offered.
The accommodation has a stunning garden with beautiful sunrise views, creating the ideal setting for those seeking relaxation and an calming nature experience. Shared bathrooms were also clean.

United KingdomIt is designed to have basic amenities e.g. electricity only between hours of 6-11pm (enough to recharge your devices), single temperature shower (which would benefit from more water pressure), and be open to the outside (you have mosquito nets on the bed but you should bring repellant and expect other insects). Note: it is still private even though it is open to the outside on the front wall (that faces the bay). All this is why I stayed there - it is like luxurious camping and a place to go for a bit of a retreat.
Stayed here for a couple of weeks. All the staff were great throughout that time and could organise local trips and tricycles if needed. The views are amazing, both from the chalet and the communal area. Waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the bay (your room will be open so you can see from inside your room) was the definite highlight. There are a few restaurants/ bars nearby but the lodge serves breakfast and dinner. I had most things on the menu that were available and it was nice food, particularly the dinners. They have a small selection of cold beers too, and it's a great place to relax with one of an evening, overlooking the bay. You can pay by credit card at the end of your stay, which was very useful. It is quite a remote location, near the beach (5mins walk), and a small village (10mins walk), which means it is peaceful (bar the odd cockerel) and makes you feel near to nature. There is wifi in the communal areas, which generally worked well - just ask the staff to reset if it loses signal and that seemed to fix any issue. You can get a purified water refill for 10PHP per litre from reception. As I was there for two weeks, Cromwell, the manager, arranged for me to have my own dispenser in my room, which was very convenient.

United KingdomIt's worth noting that there is no glass on the window in the room, just a curtain and then the outside world. Not a big issue but it does mean that all the insects (and there are a lot as the garden is so nice) can easily get into the room. There is a big mosquito net around the bed so shouldn't be a big issue but it's important to note for people who don't like insects, you will definitely have some in the room.
The view from the cabin is incredible, and the staff was so lovely. The food at the restaurant was tasty and affordable. 5 minutes from the beach, great location.
