Great value, lovely and helpful staff, good (nearly silent) air con, free water and small breakfast, line to hang up washing, family dinner on the Friday. It is fairly basic (as advertised) but still a very good place to stay. A few small changes like some comfier chairs outside, hooks or furniture in the room and blocking up holes in the wall could improve the comfort.

We had a great time, the owners are very helpful, far from the noise of the main street so it's quiet at night, breakfast with an egg and bread was great. I recommend. it is easy to rent a scooter because the rental company is nearby.

The hostel is definitely on the more basic side (as reflected, fairly, in its low price). No towels or hot water, and the breakfast is basic (toast with egg). But again, for the price this is all fair.

Good location, close to central park area and street food. Proprietor is knowledgeable of the island and gives good recommendations. Beds are clean and comfortable. There was also a very special NY dinner provided which was greatly appreciated!

This is a fabulous hostel! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Don and his team were fantastic! They make each guest feel special and can’t do enough for their guests! The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Air conditioning is a plus! It’s in a great location!

We loved it! The hostel is in a quiet area but still close to the centre of coron with shops and restaurants close by. We stayed in a privat room, which was simple, spacious and had a comfortable bed. It was very quiet due to the hostel being new but it wasn’t a problem, we did enjoy that. Don, the host, always had time to chat with us, he gave us tips on what to do (even outside of Coron) and helped us with all our needs. We even had the chance to eat dinner all together. The rest of the staff were also quite friendly and helpful. Another great thing was the breakfast. We really recommend the footprints hostel and would come again!

The room didn't have a window, but that was the least of the issues. Anytime we tried to shower the water was either shut off, or it would start running and very quickly turn into the smallest trickle until it completely shut off. Because the water wasn't running, we couldn't flush the toilet or wash our hands. There was no hot water at all, no soap provided to wash hands, hardly ever any toilet paper, and the bathroom was constantly dirty. Considering you can't flush toilet paper down the toilets, we found it extremely unhygienic that there were never any plastic bags in the waste bins. We also had a roach in our room (no food at all in there), and noticed on our last day that there was some water leaking into the room, by the door. The bathrooms downstairs seemed better, so we were always having to go downstairs to use the toilet. A lot needs to be done upstairs to make the room/toilet adequate for guests.

The staff was great. They were very friendly and helpful. AC in the room worked well.

The room is quite small for 2 people and there is no window. It's very noisy, the walls are so thin you can hear everything from in and outside. The water pump didn't work at the time we where there and we had to tell them every time we needed the bathroom. That was a little bit annoying but they told us that they going to fix it on the day we left.

The family is very nice and it's close to the center. The AC was a big plus, it works really good and is quiet.

The water in the shared bathroom was always off. Each time we wanted to use the bathroom we had to go and ask the owner to turn it on which was annoying. Also the private room had no window and was really small, it felt a bit claustrophobic.

We booked a private room. AC is brand new and is working well. Breakfast was included which was nice.
