Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaFrangipani is the perfect balance of luxury and simplicity. Its boutique size allows them to pay attention to their guests in providing bespoke service. From its location that takes you away from bustling noise of the town into its own little astoundingly relaxing peaceful paradise to the topnotch hospitality of their staff that has been nothing short of a 5-star service. Our poolside room has been a haven inside and out — massive space, aethestic interiors, incredible view, comfortable bed, hot showers, cold AC, smells amazing and very clean. From the beginning of our booking, the communication with the hotel through Zenobia (her service was amazing all throughout!) was very easy and to the moment we left the island was made seamless by them. They made sure that we had a perfect holiday, and a perfect holiday they delivered.

United StatesWould be nice if they built out more of a lounge area right on the beach.
Clean, luxurious, quiet, we loved our stay here! The most comfortable bed we slept in during our entire trip. I highly recommend if you're looking for a boutique hotel experience. Staff are friendly, helpful, and go above and beyond. I was feeling sick and the chef made me rice porridge, even though it wasn't on the menu.

United KingdomThe location is slightly further out. It suited me as I wanted to be away from the noise and it was cheap to get a tricycle into the centre.
Gorgeous location, with a stunning beach view. The small size of the hotel made it feel really personal and peaceful. The decor was beautiful, lovely restaurant and bar. The staff were also so amazing.

AustraliaPartner vendors recommended by hotel were more expensive than others, for example Motorbike rental and massage. This was kind of expected though, and sometimes worth the convenience and peace of mind. If you'd like to go to el nido town you will need to tricycle or Motorbike.
Very friendly staff, easy to communicate with. Rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Airport shuttle was seamless and convenient. Breakfast was good. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. My partner accidentally dropped his phone into water and the staff provided us with a container of rice! Location is good if you don't want to be right in the centre of town.

MalaysiaWe did have a few issues with the water in our shower and sink (at times the water wasn’t coming out at all, and at times it was coming out but was spitting up muck). Maintenance did the best they could to resolve the problem, but I think it was more to do with the storms that had come through than anything they could do. We didn’t swim in the ocean while we were there (the storm had made it pretty uninviting), but we were also told it’s not entirely possible because of how shallow it is. The pool is perfectly fine if you want to take a dip. Just don’t expect to be able to swim in the ocean during your stay. It does make for excellent stand up paddle boarding conditions though, apparently!
The staff were so friendly and helpful at every step! The welcome drink and farewell sandwich was a particularly nice touch. The transfers from and to the airport were smooth, and very much appreciated! We also enjoyed the short orientation from one of the members of staff who came to greet us at the airport. The room was beautiful with such a great view from the balcony. The balcony also has some really comfortable seats to lounge on (if you’re so inclined). The food at the restaurant was good! Would definitely recommend getting some traditional Filipino food if you can. The hotel is also in a great area with some really nice bars and restaurants around!

Hong Kongthe only thing I can whine about is the hot water at night, as it uses solar panel, the water just can’t get hot enough when at night
amazing location on the quiet part of the beach, not as commercial and noisy as at El Nido town, perfect spot for us as an escape from the city. amazing sunset spot as well, we spent 3 days at the hotel to watch sunset, just can’t get enough of it

SwedenHonestly nothing to complain about. Everything was top and you do really feel you are at an exclusive place. Just a few small things to improve: - The dinner menu can be improved and extended, but the springrolls are insanely good, best I’ve had. A must try. - The restaurant does not have proper ventilation for the kitchen.
We stayed for three nights and loved it. The view is amazing, the crew is really nice and helpful. it’s close to activities and El Nido town, but you get the tranquility you want away from town. Really nothing to complain about, it’s definitely a must book and stay at least two nights.

United StatesLooking back I feel like we overpaid. Would not have paid the amount I did to stay here again, it is a nice hotel, but for value compared to 5 other places we stayed in Philippines we are disappointed we spent so much money. Also if you want a negroni - dont order it from this bar - they dont put campari in it... very bizarre. The pictures also dont exactly depict the hotel correctly in my opinion- hotel was beautiful but not what we were expecting when we arrived as portrayed in the photos.
Very adorable boutique hotel, not a lot of rooms, free breakfast (good food), cute bar. If you want peace, quiet, privacy and not a lot of ppl this is the place for you. Great and VERY attentive staff, they organized quick laundry, and responded and acted fast to requests (which I feel is uncommon in Philippines,... island time). Organized scooter fast. Overall great service. Balcony is covered by huge palms, is private, can look out to the beach, very peaceful in morning for coffee.

Hong Kong- Breakfast can have more ample options to allow extra food amount or coffee, currently it is a defined set - relatively expensive compared to other El Nido hotels although not a resort - wifi was too complicated with multiple logins and routers - weak wifi, because due to wall type and wall thickness or placement of routers
- tailored services and commutes/shuttles taken care of - artistic modern design decoration that is unique to other hotels in El Nido - exclusive given there are only 7 rooms available - direct access to beach, available to borrow paddle boards
