Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesThe internet is just lagging sometines. And I think that because of the water pressure there are leakage when you're done using the shower. There are also droplets of water coming from the aircon during the first night.
I like that it is located in the city proper and how accessible it is.

United StatesThere is definitely construction work going on, luckily it's only during the day but if you are going to be in your room it can be loud (in the management's defense they do send a nice letter to guests apologizing for the inconvenience). The rooms are also quite small and felt a bit cramped, and though the terrace is nice, there is so much air pollution from the city you don't really end up wanting to use it. Therefore, it's nice for short stay but I wouldn't stay there for an extended period.
The staff were great and I like the modern feel of the lobby, it's very well decorated in common spaces.

PhilippinesThe server in the morning when we ordered ala carte wasn't very attentive. She was easily confused with my order of 1 hot cappuccino, 1 iced cappuccino, and 1 hot chocolate. How difficult is it to understand that? It took 4 tries for her to get it right on her notes.
I liked the location, the room, the hospitality of the staff, and the overall experience.

PhilippinesThat breakfast was not included in the rate even though the rooms are a bit pricey.
The location is very good. Near most landmarks like SM Baguio,Session Road, Cathedral. I like that it has a family room. Suggest putting the television to a space where everyone can watch comfortably. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, its a nice hotel.

PhilippinesUnfortunately, we were only informed of ongoing construction in the hotel's rooftop, when we arrived. We were also assigned to the 9th floor where the repairs could be heard. I wish they could have informed us beforehand because we had a kid and a senior citizen with us during the trip. Additionally, the air-conditioning in the room was quite bad it got hot in the afternoon. We reported it immediately but the only option was moving to the 10th floor which would make the noise closer. The maintenance guy was not available because we arrived over the weekend. So it was a dilemma of: did we want a noisy room or a hot room. Ultimately, we decided to stay cause moving around would have been a hassle for a two night stay and in the evening it wasn't hot anymore despite the airconditioning problem. On the other hand, they gave us complimentary breakfast on our last day.
G1 was a great spot to stay in. It was around 5 minutes away from Session Road and SM City Baguio. It had ample options for food and stores within the vicinity. The staff were great, very polite and accommodating. Kudos to them actually, they're the best hotel staff I've ever encountered. They were also apologetic about the whole rooftop repairs and airconditioning thing. I think it was just out of luck that we experienced that.

Philippines-while the room that I stayed was small, it was adequate
-level of service was top-notch and consistent from frontdesk, food servers to housekeeping; -location was perfect, across SM Baguio and Session Road, Baguio Carhedral; -Wifi was reliable, water and pressure was good, aircon was a bonus but I would oftentimes just open my windows for fresher air; -breakfast was ok, tasteful

PhilippinesThe fees were a bit near city price already like in Manila. I was hoping it to be cheaper in Manila. Plus room cut is small for that price. Last month I was in Holiday Inn Makati and it felt like the price was nearly the same but Holiday Inn room was bigger/with table vs G1 lodge. If the price would go down by 2-3k, I would recommend it.
Proximity to city center, very accommodating and pleasant staff and bed is comfortable.

United States1. Room was too small, i had to climb from the foot of the bed since my side of the bed was against the wall with a shelf 2. There was no closet but you can hide your suitcase under the bed,. 3. Bedroom was noisy since it's on the side of a busy street and traffic.was too loud. 4. For the price, breakfast was not included and it cost P398 plus P25 for bottled water. 5. Outlet by the bed was too loose to hold any plug-ins like the lamp and cell phone charger. 6. Room was lit poorly.
Close to everything. Staff was very helpful and friendly
