Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe AC went out on us a couple times during the night.
The location was amazing. The water was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. If someone is looking for a good place to relax and get away from the rest of the world this is the place to go.

SwedenThe lovely stay could have elevated even more if they played some background music in the restaurant/lobby area since we were the only ones checked in during our stay, so felt a bit quiet at times but it was also nice to hear the nature. It's also located a bit far away from any local stores but that wasn't a problem since the owner always asked if we needed anything from the store and went on to buy it. And since we're at Talicud Island, there aren't much to be close to since it's a very remote island where you should go to experience nature and the stunning beaches.
The owners were super nice and always available if we needed anything. On the boat over, they asked if we wanted lunch when we arrived which was a nice touch. The food was very delicious and served in generous portions. The location of the resort was very beautiful with a nice view over the clear blue sea, with a private beach which looked like something out of a postcard. It's located around 15-20 minutes away with tri-cycle from the port. The room had air-conditioning and it was clean. They only had shared bathrooms and showers but the facilities were clean and worked flawlessly so didn't see that as a problem. I think it's too bad that we were the only ones there during our stay - since the place is super cozy with great food, karaoke machine and the hospitality of the owners were great.

United KingdomThe place is in an island, isolated and has limited resources. Shared toilet and shower are located outside. Need to turn on the generator if you need a shower and must shower for 5mins. It is hard when you need to use the lavatory at night. Lack of security - not having a security guard on the premises keeps me up at night especially when the dogs starts barking in the middle of the night. The beach could be dirty at times especially where there was a typhoon! Debris from neighboring islands seems to end up on this side of the beach. Lots of plastic bottles, broken glasses can be found on the beach which is ashame otherwise the beach is prestine. No wifi signal in rooms. Not a lot of activities on site apart from a karaoke. No sun bed nor sun lounges to relax on the garden and on the beach.
The beach is nice and the water is clear. The food is very good. Jing jing the cook is very good and went out of her way to cater for our food cravings. I wanted ginataan bilo bilo and she cooked me binigkit instead, which was yummy. Every single dish/meal we've had was delicious! Each dish/order is good for 2-3 people so bare that in mind when you see the price. It looks expensive at first but it isn't, as 1 dish can be share. A couple of times Jingjing will keep our leftovers in the fridge for when we want it again and so there was no food wasted. Cris the owner's caretaker is sweet and will go out of her way to get what you need in town like fresh fruits, cigarette and even a massage lady! The nipa cottage accomodation is what I like about this place and to top that, the beds and linens are very clean to a 5 star hotel standard which I quite like. The restaurant bar is good and modern with an excellent view of the sea. Strong wifi signal from the restaurant.

BelarusPlace overpriced, toilet and shower is in a public place only. Wi fi isn’t available, though there was working icon but stuff said that something occurred with it and it doesn’t work. So we use unstable 5 peso/hour internet located nearby. But it seems that workers without problem were using gem’s wi fi. Nice isn’t it? The shoreline was infected with sand fleas which bite you so incredibly painful that it doesn’t seem nice idea to have a swim. In the morning there was included breakfast, we didn’t eat meat so we asked a salad instead, and we get it and pay for the salad 🙌 for free breakfast was an egg and 2 slices of bread 🥖 good value for money 💰 I wouldn’t mention overpriced food though pizza was tasty. You should never visit this place 🙌 we had booking for 2 nights but survived only one, moskito bites was nice addition during the night. But stuff didn’t agree to give money back of course, neither they agree to make this money for food we ate there. So we happily pay 3 thousand pesos more (for 2 meals and 400 peso entrance fee for 2 our friends) and went to Isla reta beach where shoreline is pretty and food is tasty and fare priced and entrance fee is the same 🔥
A lot of flowers nearby

AustraliaIt is a bit hard to get to the resort and once you are there, there isn't anywhere to go (except the beach) or things to do except relax. Plan ahead and travel light. Fastest is the (3-trip daily) Talikud Express from/to Santa Ana wharf in Davao City to Kaputian wharf on Talicud but get there very early to get a seat. Then catch a motor tricycle with one of the friendly locals from the wharf to the resort (about 15 mins). The slowest is via Samal Island. Not a negative for us but the rooms don't have ensuites, there are shared bathrooms.
Friendly staff, comfortable local style cabins, good food, a beautiful quiet beach with clear water to swim or snorkel, a great place to turn off the phone (and take photos instead), and just relax. The perfect place to switch off for a couple of days
