Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThat I had to leave!
Fabulous stay in the jungle. Stunning view and a perfect place to chill out. Loved it soooo much and would highly recommend staying here if you are going to Port Barton. The food was delicious the best I have had in the Philippines. Thanks to Tomas & Kasia for your hospitality. I also enjoyed their cute fur babies. Close to White Beach which I loved as I was the only one there for the first hour and very few people after that. Go here you won't want to leave !

United StatesThe views and the staff were the best part of this amazing place. It’s a bit of a hike up to the eco resort but I promise it’s worth the steps. We came here for my boyfriends birthday and the amazing owners, Kasia & Thomas, made it so special for him. We were surprised with birthday balloons in the room and a few other things at dinner time that just made it so special. The seafood here is also amazing so make sure you come hungry. We stayed for 3 nights and took in all the amazing views, while also enjoying White Beach which is just 15-20 min from the resort. If this place is available, do yourself a favor and book it.

SingaporeStaying at Green hill was a splendid adventure, with a full immersion in the beautiful nature of Palawan! We were amazingly welcomed by the two polish owners who efficiently organised us a superb boat tour! We were a bit worried about the difficult road access mentioned in the reviews but honestly it’s manageable! Don’t hesitate, it’s worth the efforts!

United KingdomIncredible place to stay! The stay was excellent, saying the same for all the people too. Kasia and Tomek did stunning job there. These guys also recommend the places around which you can visit and enjoy every day stay there in this magical place. This place is really „in the middle of nowhere”- the best option to be one with the nature. Every day you wake up to a sight of animals all around you. The journey to green hill is an adventure in itself. The road through the jungle bring magical feel, you pass two beautiful beaches (white beach and coconut beach), as you ride your scooter or motorbike the stress of the city melts away… No doubt the best holiday ever, once again great hospitality, caring staff, lovely food!!! Wouldn’t change anything!!! Hope to be back one day again, Thanks Kasia and Tomek, that was pleasure to meet you 😊

CanadaA few things would really make this place stand out and be even better including: wifi access in the rooms, stronger fans, bigger hammocks in all areas (the fabric hammocks shown in pictures were unuseable for an average human), increased solar and battery capacity to prevent running out some nights, better cushions and more comfortable seating in the lounge area. There was really only one relaxing sofa area which people were fighting over. With some improved seating and arrangement this area would be fantastic. It’s also a bit of a hike with your luggage to the property because the tuk-tuks can’t bring you the whole way. I really think the property should meet you with their vehicle to bring you up, or better yet offer town pickup.
Beautiful secluded location very close to the best beach in Port Barton. Nice, welcoming and friendly owner (Thomas) who took good care of us. Friendly dogs and cats on site. Very good food, a little higher priced than I would expect but worth it for the quality I guess. Excellent wifi in the common areas. This place really has a nice vibe and allowed us to completely relax with incredible views and peaceful surroundings.

PolandAmazing location, the best view in Port Barton. Delicious food! Helpful and nice staff (Tomek, the owner is open to serve you fresh fish or seafood (of course depending on the availability in Port Barton) just need to talk with him. He prepared for us squid and fish - both 12/10, amazing :) The location is outside of the city, in the middle of jungle. If you want to escape reality and listen to the forest waking up each morning with out of this world sounds, this is the perfect place. ❤️

SpainAmazing place outside of the crowded city. It looks that is far but if you rent a motorbike is not far. The way is tricky but doable. Last part of the way is steep but you can easily carry the bike and walk last 30 metres

BelgiumThe bathroom is not really comfortable (the shower water pressure is low) because you are in the middle of the jungle.

PolandNo hot water - we were aware of that and not expecting it.
Friendly and helpful hosts. Fantastic views from the cottages and the restaurant. High quality and quantity food. Amazing entourage and silence + stars at night. All of this is worth the extra effort to get there by tuk-tuk form the town at around 600PHP from the bus terminal at Barton.

United KingdomThis place is not for everyone so please read - you cannot go all the way to the property in a tuktuk. You get dropped a few hundred yards before as they can't go any further - you then need to walk the last bit with your bags - i think if you call ahead the hosts may be able to help if you need it. The road from the terminal is very bumpy and extremely rutted. There is a very steep path up to the main building - not good if you are not fit or have any physical problems. Having said that, once you're in - it's well worth it! Also there's not a lot of extra room in the bedrooms - i was alone so not a problem but would have been quite tight otherwise.
The hosts, Katarina and Tomas were really great. Very friendly and helpful with some good advice about tours and transport. The property is very special, the view is utterly breathtaking and the surroundings are incredible- you really feel at one with nature. The restaurant/bar area is so relaxed and it's easy to while away the hours just sititng and looking at the view with a coffee or a nice cold beer. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were all very friendly. The nearby beaches were gorgeous and I really loved the walk down to White beach and Coconut beach is about another 15. minute walk - a certain level of fitness is required -especially for the returm journey up the hill.

DenmarkIt was some what of a hike. Not that i did no like it, but more that i would prefer not to. But it really did not make the difference since the walk was entirely worht it
The veiw and the food was really good. Also the nearby beach was super cool and they made us a great lunch we could bring as well. The couple who owns the place are the most helpful people, and the kitchen raises the standards for eating out in the phillippines. The food did cost a bit more expensive than you would be used to in Philllippines, but its worth the price.
