It is quite expensive compared to other hostels in the island but it is a good value for money considering the quality. Maybe it is not a big social hostel such us others, but still good to meet people

The dorm rooms are perfect, you get a big private space where you can have a great sleep. Facilities are beautiful, the restaurant there has amazing food. Staff are kind

Can’t wait to revisit Happiness next year for the surf and the people!

The facilities were immaculate. There’s plenty of hangout spots to interact with other travellers and lounge and relax. The WiFi could be a bit better, though it wasn’t too much of an issue as I really enjoyed my phone-free time. Bathrooms were well-maintained, clean and hot water was almost always available. However, the beds were slightly shorter than usual (anyone over 6ft might find it a squeeze).

The charm of this place really lies with the Happiness team. From the concierge to the restaurant, reception to housekeeping, it’s been nice getting to know all the amazing people working there. They’re true gems on this little island. My heart is full knowing I’ve found a tiny paradise here at Happiness. The staff were always attentive to the guests’ needs, and I felt comfortable and at home. Simple gestures like saying good morning with a smile really made my stay here so much better! The management should be very proud to have such a solid team working the ground, keeping true to the Happiness name. HUGE shoutout to all the amazing people I got to know here: Lohan, Juicy Lucy, Dan, Lynn, Elsie, Gege, Axl, Glaiza, Shen, Doreen, Jelly, Froiland, Jennifer, Gray, Patrick, Jay, Christian, Alex, Bryan, Kyong, Chelsea and everyone else I had the pleasure of interacting with. Love you all and see you soon!

One of the best hostels in Siargao! And nice surf classes!

The showers could have been cleaned a bit better sometimes. The yoga was supposed to be 400 pesos but they charges is 550 pesos because it was weekend. This was nowhere written.

The hostel is really nice! The staff is very friendly, especially Chelsy and the guy from the restaurant with longer hair (forgot to ask his name). The hostel has a pool inside, an outside pool accross the road, daily yoga next to the beach, a restaurant where you can get nice coffee and all day food. There is a travel kiosk next door. You can book tours, transfers, rent scooters and surf lessons via this kiosk. I booked my surf lessons here, for 2 hours including a board, they charge you 1200 pesos, which is the same price as everywhere. My teacher his name was Kier and I really recommend you asking for him! He can teach you surfing and skating. He will take you to the nicest spots and give you a lot of advice. He is local so he will spread the local surf vibes on you! The dorms are outstanding! You have a "private" dorm as you can close the dorm with 2 doors. And a little closet in the dorm.

Small thing, the sliding doors on the beds are very noisy which woke me up many times in the night. Food was average and quite expensive

Great facilities, such a nice vibe, individual beds that feel very private. Have nice shelves inside your bed area. Fun activities. Cool shop downstairs. Nice bar

    There’s nothing I didn’t like

Hands down the nicest hostel I stayed in the Philippines. The staff were so amazing, the food was incredible, the facilities were top class and such an incredible atmosphere. It really didn’t feel like it was a hostel, felt more like a hotel or resort. The staff were so accommodating and so friendly always going on above and beyond for you - Dan, Lucy, Shen, Glaiza, Gegeh, Axel and Lohan - thank you for making my stay so enjoyable☺️

Wish we found out about this place sooner! Love how it still felt like I had my own private space despite being in a shared room. Space is very well thought out and the staff were all so accommodating! Also a plus that you get to enjoy the the property across as well (and with discounts) which was very convenient especially with this rainy season—you don't have to go far to have something else to do or a change of scenery. Will definitely come back!!

We had a blast at Happiness Hostel Siargao! 😊 The Double Room with Balcony was spot-on for our 10 nights. Shoutout to the awesome staff - super friendly and accommodating from reception to housekeeping and the restaurant. Great facilities including a shared kitchen, outdoor shower, pool, tours and rentals available - everything you could possibly need 😊 Never a dull moment with so much fun stuff to do. Definitely itching to come back for another round! 🌴✨

The pool is a bit useless, since it's small and part of the restaurant, so basically no one uses it. Although the hostel has everything to be social, the crowd was a bit "funny". People were just sitting there on their phone and not connecting/socializing, which is very different vibes from my last time in Siargao or just travelling in general. Another sad thing is that EVERYONE was sick while I was there (including me), some people even needed emergency care after fainting. We don't know what it was, if there was a virus, or the water...although it was not 100% the hostel's fault, i feel like they should warn people to not drink tap water or brush their teeth, or something! They did put alcohol in some shared areas though.

The rooms are amazing, giving you privacy and space to organize your things. The toilet and shower were plenty with lots of space, making it so convenient. The hostel overall is clean and it looks cool. The restaurant was good as well.

There was no Wi-Fi on the dorms, only in the common area

The bathrooms could be cleaner. I saw them being cleaned, but they always smelled a little bit. Also not much of a social vibe in the hostel. Lots of digital nomads staying there and working, but was a little difficult to meet people.

Such a beautiful space! The hostel itself feels cozy and new, and there are lots of bars and restaurants attached (all super good!). There are also plenty of events going on during the week! The dorms themselves are very cool. It's more like a capsule hotel than a traditional hostel dorm!

People stole my friends shoes… twice. So wasn’t happy about that. Also a lot of people left their trash in the bathroom, clean it up yourself!

Love the spacious room, really comfortable beds and a lot of space for your stuff :) stuff is helpful and friendly, grey is the nicest!! A little bit pricy but it’s well worth the money. You can book tours and transfers at the hostel.

We stayed in a double room. It was very pretty. We had a problem with the room but the staff and the manager resolved it very well (thinking about our benefit) so that's the important thing. The facilities are new, the location is excellent. We rent a motorcycle with them. The bar and the two restaurants have a 10% discount for guests and there are also games and happy ours. We loved it.

Not the most social hostel i've stayed in. There is a pretty good bar but it is often full with people who aren't staying in the hostel and as a solo traveller i didn't find it the easiest place to meet people.

Rooms and beds were fantastic. Awesome to have a full privacy screen to close in the bed. Great storage in each bed, hanging space and big size locker under the beds. Cool, modern space.

WIFI connection!!! it's only connectable in certain areas of the lobby.. and there is not wifi in the room! even the signal of the phone is hardly working... it was totally unexpected :(

there is complete privacy in the personal bed with the wooden sliding door per bed!! and it's so spacious that i can even open my check-in luggage next to my bed (inside the sliding door), there is a personal fan to help with circulation and dry my clothes. and there is a closet as well next to the bed. I love these considerate setups! apart from that, the lobby is comfy, and the Halloween party is the busiest all over the town! suddenly turned the whole place into a professional club! impressive! In addition, they offer daily yoga class in the morning at their resort across the street. the yoga place is literally in front of the ocean, very soothing!

The pool is in the middle of the restaurant which is awkward. Who wants to swim when people are eating around them.

I like how the beds were in closed but the bed is just a foam on the floor so it hurts the back after a couple nights. Ac worked well
