How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The toilets where very very dirty. I felt in general there was poor hygene in the hostel. They dont provide towels, you have to rent them.
The bed was comfortable. Its very close to the pier so very convinient if you need to take the ferry. Good locker for storing personal things.

Aircon was leaking in the room so we had dripping into a bucket all night. Also the toilet bins could have done with being emptied a bit more often. Only hostel I stayed in Philippines where breakfast wasn't included, but there is a restaurant onsite
Great location to the ferry terminal - was only here for the night between ferry terminal and airport. Large comfy rooms, good value for money. Walking distance to the cathedral, airport is about 40-60mins via Grab.

The room which I’ve stayed had a leaking AC, the dripping noise was quite noticeable. Showers need more hooks to hang our stuffs
Very convenient for me and those who have to take a ferry, close to Cebu Pier (5mins walk) Staff is very nice, café & restaurant available in the hostel for decent price and value.

Surrounding area wasn’t the best but I wasn’t out at night and only stayed one night so wasn’t too worried about it.
Close to the ferry terminal which was great for me! Easy check in and staff were very kind and helpful!

Besides the rooms it is Boiling hot in the Main hall
Perfect place to recharge before continue traveling! Nice comfy beds, proper sheets, good AC

No toiletries provided, no shampoo, soap or shower gel Towels have to be rented for an additional cost of 50 Pesos
Location is very close to the pier and a 7/11 store (5 minute walk) Wifi was pretty good for the Philippines The cleanliness was good and facilities well maintained Free drinking water is provided next to the kitchen All staff were nice and professional

Bathroom was seperate from rooms which is fine but the showers were small and not so clean.
Easy stay for one night. Simple check in, drinking water available and air con in rooms. Beds were ok too.

Most of the staff weren’t massively friendly (but not rude) and seemed a bit annoyed when you don’t have the correct change for items… only one available female toilet upstairs, but lots of showers.
VERY comfortable beds, nice communal areas and decent sized lockers. Staff were very on to shooing away the children who would often come up to beg when sitting in the outside area.

Walls are a bit thin

When using shower the water doesn't drain away ,it soaks the whole floor making it every slippery

We had a really bad mold stain above the bed and it was very very noisy. The walls where so thin it felt like they weren't even there. Even with earplugs we couldn't sleep after 6am in the morning.
The room itself was really pretty, and the bed was big and comfortable. The Hostel was pretty close and in walking distance to the pier! For the price and for one night totally fine

No parking space and it's hard to park the car outside since it's a clamping area zone.
The bathroom is clean and the room is as well. The bunk bedroom is spacious and clean. Fiber speed internet is great!

I like the location per se but not the surrounding. We checked in late with my cousin and some people are sleeping at the streets where the hostel is located. but overall, the hostel is clean, convenient and cozy. ATM machine is also available at the property.

The shower head leaked but the staff had no clue so I am sure it was repaired after my stay. I didn't tell them until check out. It is a hostel so expect a crowd in the dining area until late.
Everything was clean and the staff was exceptional. There was a really nice park to walk in very close by. It is also really close to the port for the Fastcat.

Private Deluxe room - Bathroom floor completely flooded with every shower (design flaw). The hostel had multiple non slip maps in there but were squishy underfoot due to previous guest flooding. You can see severe water stains in the ceiling due to leaks in rooms above. No top sheet provided, just a scratchy blanket.
Location was walking distance to Cebu Pier 1 for our ferry to Bohol

I just needed a stay for one night to travel from cebu to bohol. it was perfect because its very close to the pier 1 which you need to go to for the ferry. the staff is friendly and the room was clean!
