Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalBoth options of breakfast were great but could be nice to have more options. Even though we were aware of it before we came in, it also would be a plus to have some amenities like soap, more toilet paper etc.
Incredible hosts! Always available and nice. The place was clean and well organized, and the AC in the room worked perfectly. We rented a motor bike that was in great condition, we used it for 4 days all over El Nido and to travel do Sibaltan with no issues. To go back to Puerto Princesa the hosts organized our transport with a van that was infinitely better than the one we used to get to el nido (and for the same price). Overall amazing experience! Couldn’t recommend this family place more

AustraliaModern budget accommodation. Run by 2 very nice ladies. Very nice surroundings with greenery and chickens running around. Table outside your hut. Free breakfast, 2 options (omelette or pancakes). Bed was nice and cosy. Lighting is nice. There's a clothes hanger inside to dry your clothes. Good aircon. Small fan also provided. You can ask for an additional clothes hanger for your clothes outside. Wifi was strong near the common eating area but quite weak in the room. However sitting in the common eating area is relaxing and shady after 8am. The water from the shower smelt quite metallic. The water pressure was not the best. There were quite a few ants about but prob because we were quite far out from the city. There is was a shower curtain though! If you are coming here from el nido city, the tricycle costs 300 pesos. If you are going to the bus station to Puerto Princesa airport, the tricycle costs 400 pesos. Motorbike rental for us was 500 pesos per day. Half a tank of petrol costs 150 pesos and lasted us 3 days. Reception will organise for you even on the morning of. The accommodation is a 15 mins motorcycle ride from el nido city. If you have a motorbike, you have freedom of choice. The very nice Lio beach is nearby. There is a great pizza place nearby if you come late at night and need somewhere to eat.

GermanyVery friendly staff. Initially planed to stay three days but ended up staying here for six days. Takes around 10min to get to El Nido City but very quiet and relaxing environment. Scooters can also be rented at the accommodation and offer great flexibility. Breakfast is also great. Overall can absolutely recommend.

United KingdomIt may be useful to know that the showers are cold with little pressure.
The owner is superb! She gave us great tips for where to explore, provides a laundry service and is just so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are fantastic, and the two dogs Bacon and Basil are never far away! The four chalets are lovely, set in the green gardens around 10 mins tuk tuk from El Nido. This means it's much quieter than the town. I'd definitely recommend hiring a bike if staying here as it's only really walking distance to Lio beach.

United StatesLocation is a bit out of the way, and you need to arrange for your own transportation to the tour location. However, it was an easy motorbike ride away.
Karla was the highlight of the property. She helped with booking tours and motorbike rental. Breakfast pancakes were delicious. Water was served chilled! Clean rooms.

GermanyNone of this is particularly negative but you have to keep in mind that this is a simple accommodation. Sometimes the WiFi would be down, sometimes the water would shut off but the staff would quickly try and fix the situation. The shower itself has very poor water pressure but the bathroom is clean and spacious and has everything you need. My only point of improvement would be to add something where guests can hang their clothes to dry outside.
The room was very clean and cozy. The location is quiet and only a 5 minute drive from the airport but you definitely need to rent a scooter to get into El Nido town. The breakfast was fresh and yummy (choice of pancakes or omelette). The property also has very cute and friendly dogs. The staff are absolutely lovely and super helpful. We rented a bike with them too. On our check out day there was a wedding on the venue and despite the business, one of the staff members drove us to the airport!

IrelandThe cabins in Hardin De Marbella are really comfortable. Our hosts were excellent and they conveniently have a scooter for rental 500PHP per day. The location is a little out of town, but great for anyone looking for quiet away from the town centre.

PhilippinesMy stay at Hardin de Marbella was truly unforgettable! The A house provided a cozy and unique accommodation experience, allowing me to immerse myself in nature and relax in a serene environment. Carla and her family's hospitality was exceptional, making me feel like a welcomed guest in their home. Spending the night with the host family was a highlight of my trip to El Nido. Engaging in conversations about the local culture and history with Carla and her family added a personal and insightful touch to my stay. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the destination from those who call it home. Overall, Hardin de Marbella offers a one-of-a-kind way to experience El Nido, blending comfortable accommodation with authentic interactions and cultural exchanges. I highly recommend this unique homestay for anyone looking to connect with nature, immerse themselves in local life, and create lasting memories.

TaiwanThe wifi was intermittent and numerous devices could not connecting at all (at least in the room).
The property was beautiful. The room’s small but cosy. The locational was ideal (away from the bustling main town but close to one of the most beautiful beach) and the setting was idyllic. There are quite a few local eateries and sari sari stores just few minutes walk. Chi-chi the host was wonderful/helpful and the family was very inviting. We look forward to coming back again in the near future!

NetherlandsVery nice place to stay. Location just outside the busy center of El Nido, but still nearby. The bungalow was tiny but cozy, everything you need is in there and it’s very clean. Looks exactly like the photos. The people that run the place are so kind and welcoming, they will help you with anything. Definitely recommend this place!

NetherlandsFeedback: the beds are quite small for two adults so it was not super comfortable. There was a lot of gecko poo on the walls and even some on the floor which could have been cleaned. A dryer/rack to hang clothes outside the rooms would be nice especially as most visitors come home with a lot of wet towels etc. Thank you again! 💕✨🌸 - Catrin and Thomas
My girlfriend and I had such a lovely stay here. Karla and her family are so accommodating and welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious and they help you plan tours, get a motorbike and help if you have water/food poisoning (thank you!🥰). The rooms are quite small but they have everything you need. Good to know that there are power cuts quite often, no hot water and the location is quite a bit out of el nido so it is useful to have a motor bike or tuktuk driver.

AustraliaIt is slightly hard to get to, but if you rent a scooter you’ll have no issues.
My partner and I stayed for three nights at Hardin De Marbella. The huts were small but cool, cozy and had everything you’d need. The best part about the stay was definitely the staff - Clara the owner and Chi Chi the receptionist. They were always ready to help and super kind. We had a bit of a debacle on the last day when the van that said they would pick us up from the hotel didn’t show up. Clara personally drove us to the bus terminal (at no cost) to help us avoid missing our flight. Thank you!

AustraliaThe people were incredibly kind to us and made sure that all of our questions were answered. It is a small hidden area but lovely upon arrival. Breakfast was good, their help with the island hopping tour was amazing. It is not far from Lio beach (10 minute tuk tuk). They have a friendly dog named Basil. We were very impressed with the service.

United KingdomThere is no hot water in the shower, but it wasn’t a big deal as the weather was really hot so you get past it rapidly.
It’s a family owned and run business. Everyone was super nice and helpful. We enjoyed chatting to the people there, playing with Alex, their little girl, and the dogs. We felt at home. The room was nice, and so peaceful and in the middle of “almost” nowhere. The pancakes and omelets for breakfast were really good. You could rent a scooter directly from them, which was very convenient. Possibility to order TukTuk too (you’ll need one of the others to go out due to the location). All in all, we recommend staying there!

FranceThe bed was definitely the smallest we had in the Philippines, around 130cm… a bit tight for 2 persons and that should have been clearly stated from the beginning
Great staff, very helpful, location is a bit far from el nido but as long as you rent a scooter it’s alright. Little houses are nice and breakfast was good.
