Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanySandy & Liberty are the best! The two made us feel so welcomed in their great camping area. They have such nice insider tips, make you the best and largest breakfast (that we had in 6 months of travelling) and provide you with a free scooter. You get toast & eggs, granola, fruits and coffee/tea/water/hot chocolate. The shared toilets and showers are super clean and there are always some available, so you don‘t have to wait for other people to finish showering.

CanadaThe road on the way to the site is quite rough and a challenge to drive on, but that's out of the property's control. Just be ready for a fun motorbike / trike ride in and out of the site. :)
The nipa huts were really well made and super cute - quite a unique type of accommodation! The site is really nice with some lounging areas, hammocks, access to kitchen, and it was clean everywhere. Breakfast and motorbikes included are a nice touch. Never had an issue with the wifi, but they also upgraded it while I was there. The owners are friendly, very accommodating, and super fun to chat with. Will def stay there again if I get the chance to return!

AustraliaLocation looks bit out of the way but free use of scooters made it very easy to get to! Additionally, Lio Beach (a very easy and quick scoot from Hiraya) had the best facilities, food, and vibes. This was the best beach to relax at in our opinion, which made the location surprisingly perfect as you had a quick scoot to the best beach, then got to return home to peace and quiet at Hiraya. It's also not too far from the town centre by scooter. Sandy and Liberty were very helpful and lovely, and we felt very well looked after :) they also just got Starlink internet which made organising the rest of our trip easy.

NetherlandsNothing to fault!
We had a perfect stay at Hiraya. The facilities were always clean, the huts are more spacious than they look in the picture, the breakfast was nice, and course, the hosts and their helpers were incredible. Always there to tend to whatever you need or have a nice chat. We were given a lovely welcome and being able to use the scooters for free made a huge difference.

GermanyHiraya Camp site is the perfect place for travellers who want to stay in a peaceful environment. The owners and the employees are very friendly, kind and helpful. We stayed in a hut and we really enjoyed our time there. Everything is made with so much love! The camp is very very clean and the scooter that was included was the best one we got so far in the Philippines. If we ever come back to El nido we would definitely stay here! Thank you so much!

United KingdomWe had a fantastic experience staying at Hiraya camp site. There are two options to choose from pre erected tents or the NIPA huts. We chose to stay in the hut which gave us free use of a scooter which was brilliant to get to El Nido town (10mins) and Lio beach (5mins). The huts are equipped with a fan which kept us cool. The hut itself and the toilets and showers are spotlessly clean and you can tell are cleaned throughout the day. There is also a fridge where you can purchase drinks or help yourself to water (for free)!! Last but not least the amazing ladies who own this place really make your stay exceptional. They are so lovely and really have thought of everything to make it as comfortable as can be. The value for money is amazing. Thank you so much Hiraya camp site we cannot recommend you enough.

AustraliaIf I has to say something it would be that the wifi was sometimes spotty but this has been a problem almost everywhere in Palawan.
Amazing hosts, thank you again for all your help! We had some issues with the van we had booked back to Puerto Princesa but they were able to call the driver and help us. Great breakfast, great location if you want peace and quiet, scooter included in the price really helped us to see more of the area than we otherwise would have. Everything was very clean the whole time we were there. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get outside the noise of the main parts of El Nido town.

GermanyStaying in these huts was a dream – quiet, comfortable, and nestled in a place that soothes the soul. The cleanliness was top-notch; they really keep every nook and cranny sparkling. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, striking that perfect balance of warmth and friendliness that makes you feel at home. And the breakfast? Absolutely delicious, with the sourdough bread being a standout treat. A big bonus was the free use of some great scooters. They let us explore the island at our leisure, getting to town in just about 10 minutes. The beauty and tranquility of the setting, coupled with the freedom to explore, really set this experience apart. I highly recommend this place if you're after a peaceful getaway to unwind and recharge. The serene setting, outstanding hospitality, and flawless cleanliness make it a fantastic choice!

NetherlandsKeep in mind that the free use of scooter only applies for the cottages, not for a tent :)
Very friendly staff, thanks to them it really feels like a second home. The place is also very clean and well maintained; even the shared bathrooms. We extended our stay with 2 more nights. The tent on the ground was ok, but the tent upstairs felt really good. Just a little bit less privacy than the cottages, but for the price and comfort it gave it was perfect. Location is great, most of the times it is quiet. Only some times some noises from a party of church nearby.

United KingdomThe huts have got everything you need - plenty of power outlets, blinds and mattresses that are super comfy to sleep on. It’s very quiet around there, so you can really unwind and relax. The nearby airport is tiny and not noticeable. They gave us a free scooter, which was brilliant for exploring Nacpan Beach or getting into El Nido town in 10 mins, super handy for those early morning tours and for getting to Vanilla beach to see the sunsets after. The owners of Hiraya were really friendly and super helpful with local tips. Everything was spotlessly clean, from the toilets to the showers, all shiny and new. Honestly, it was an amazing stay, and I’d recommend to just go for it. Like someone else mentioned in the reviews, ‘Just give it a try’ - I’m backing that up.

NetherlandsWe only stayed one night in El Nido and wanted a place not too far from the airport. It ended up being such a great and peaceful place! I would stay here even if wanting to explore El nido for longer. You can easily go to the city within a few minutes by scooter or tricycle, the Huts are comfortable and the staff was lovely. We were able to use their scooter without extra cost!

ItalyStaff was super friendly and helpful. All the facilities were as clean as you could think of throughout the day and even at night. A big plus is the included scooter rental with the huts which offsets the “remote” location. Good location between Lio Beach and El Nido to get the best of both worlds.

ItalyWhen I look for accomodations I always check the reviews before to have an idea of the place. Hiraya camp had a 10/10 rate which made me wonder but I gave it a try. In this case, that's simply what it is, everything perfect. Check in very friendly, accomodations very authentic and unique. Toilets super clean and all around spaces for chill simply comfortable and functional. You also have a kitchen in case you need to do some MasterChef. Plus they offer scooter service complementary for huts stay. The scooters are brand new very safe. Overall experience a 10/10. I wish the staff all the best and for future guests the most beautiful and relaxing holiday. Salamat. Grazie Mille. Danke schon❤️

RomaniaIt is a bit far from center, but they provide scooter and the location comes with silence due to distance from busy road.
We loved this property! After many nights spent in loud noise accommodations this was an oasis of silence, nature and serenity. Everything was clean, well looked for, lots of attention to details. The hosts were extremely friendly and offered us support and info for any question. We received a scooter, purchased tickets to tour A (highly recommend it), direction for van to Puerto Princesa, choices of breakfast in order to accommodate our needs. The toilets and showers were very clean and never crowded. Surprisingly no bugs came by our room.
