Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWifi is not great but that is something that is common in the whole island The real "bad" thing they should change is the aircon policy, they switch off the aircon during the morning until the evening, so if you want to go back to the bed to rest during afternoon is almost impossibile in summer since it s too hot. They should take the AC on all the time or majority of the time
Location is fine, but you need a motorbike to move properly but that is something you must have in Siargao Bed are comfy and staff is super nice Every 3/4 days they organize family dinner plus livemusic or dj set which is very cool but they shut down everything at 10, so even if you want to sleep early you can without problems :) Overall, value for money is amazing, 100% recommended

NetherlandsThe amount of people in the room. However, the rooms are so spacious so it doesn’t really matter.
The hostel had such a nice atmosphere. Right from the beginning we were welcomed with open arms. A few times a week there was a family dinner which was very nice.

PortugalThe muddy road to get there is a bit annoying, but worth it
It's like a big sleepover with your friends. Don't think twice, this is the place to stay in Siargao.

PhilippinesI just don't like the road leading to the hostel especially when it's raining.
The vibes in this hotel is great! They organized a family dinner with all the guests where we had an acoustic night with live band. The staff were friendly and even helped me book a surfing lesson or a boat tour.

PhilippinesThe road leading to the place is still a rough road and can accumulate water during rainy season (puddles) which makes it a bit hard if you're walking in and out of the place to the main road.
Staff was great and the place is perfect for solo travelling in Siargao since you get to meet a lot of people travelling also. The beds are very comfortable and the 10PM quiet time is implemented strictly which helps guests rest better.

United StatesThe road on the way to the hostel is a dirt road with some rocks but don’t worry, it’s good practice for when you rent a scooter for the first time, it will all be easy.
I was only suppose to stay here for 4 days but ended up staying for 2 weeks because of how nice the people and environment is here. If you are solo traveling and wanting to meet people in a chill environment that not so party party like, this is the place. There is family dinners 2 times a week, like on Tuesday and Thursday which is a good way to meet and start talking to the other people from the hostel and make new friends. They have surf classes offer straight from the hostel with surf instructors for 500 pesos with the surf board. By far the best hostel for solo traveling and for traveling with friends. Your able to also rent scooters straight from the hostel for 350 pesos for each day. It’s a very homey feeling hostel with very friendly staff and close to most things by scooter. Definitely will return here to for my next siargao trip!

PhilippinesThe dirt road to the hostel was quite difficult to navigate, on foot and on bike especially when it rains.
Food at their cafe was amazing! Got the chicken wrap every morning. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and the room was very spacious, enough so it doesn't feel like you're in a cramped dorm. The staff were also all very friendly and so were the other guests. Definitely the most social hostel I've ever stayed in.

United KingdomProbably seen it enough times but the dirt track to the hostel is fine normally! BUT When it’s rained it’s awful, you have to guess how deep the puddle is you’re about to drive through. Word of advice as that none of them are too deep for the bike, you just might get wet feet on a couple wrong guesses. It’s a bit surprising with all the hostels/ hotels there that is hasn’t been smoothed but it’s probably not a huge issue outside rainy season.
It’s really chilled out and everyone there knows how to enjoy themselves. If you want a hostel that you can sleep in without being woken up in the middle of the night by annoying people, then this is the right hostel. That being said, everyone likes to get a few drinks and some food, occasionally go out too but don’t feel the need to ruin everyone else sleep. Good people! Location is great (though generally best to get bike in Siargao anyway as things are deceptively far apart), staff is lovely and pretty helpful. Aircon worked great and we didn’t seem to have any power cuts while we stayed! Little breakfast cafe out the back does a great coffee and breakfast deal you won’t beat elsewhere and the chicken + waffles is something I’ll crave until I come back!

PhilippinesThe air conditioning and bathroom temperature (no ventilation, quite hot). Aside from it, everything was fine.
The staff were friendly and made sure to accommodate you till the end. Also, they have weekly family dinner/party to bond with other hostel mates.

United KingdomNot the hostels fault necessarily but the rooms have way too many people. Would be better if there was smaller rooms of 8 rather than two huge rooms. Can’t get any sleep with peoples alarms going off from 5am. The shower is not a proper shower. The road it is on is a beaten track so if it rains it’s really hard to walk there without getting covered in mud.
Everyone here is very nice and there is a good chilled vibe. They tell you each night where the party is, family dinner is great, boat party was so good.
