Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

PhilippinesOnly 1 bedside table. We didn't ask, though. So, we aren't sure if the hotel is flexible on this if we requested another. Noise/Sound from rooms can be heard from the corridor, which made us realize that we can be heard from outside, too, if we aren't mindful. It's not too much of a downside, but we just found it unusual (It can actually be a plus during emergency situations). It is good to note that once inside our suite, we do not hear any sound from the adjacent rooms. Note: No hotel phone in the room. Front Desk/Management is reached via Viber.
Its location is excellent. Clean room and yummy-comfy sheets with an awesome view of Manila Bay, plus the elevator being conveniently accessible to our room made our stay perfect. Easy check-in. Staff handled our check-out with so much tact and grace. We opted to extend our stay in the end. Love the multi-purpose soap (was that castile?). Was impressed how we didn't have to struggle with water temp adjustment in the shower, likewise with the aircon, TV, and the Wi-Fi connection. Everything was a breeze! These little things often add stress to our stay in other places. And so, we are simply grateful that these were well thought-out by Hop Inn Ermita to bring the best service to its guests. Plus: 7-11 just beside it. The drinking station by the elevator is accessible 24 hours. They do not provide hotel slippers and robes. But we're happy that the shower room was equipped with a heavy-duty hair dryer. Drinking glasses were provided. The bed provides ample space below it for your luggage. Means were made to maximize the space of the suite, allowing for the basic yet important necessities available, including a safe in the open closet.

Decent hotel and a room. The location is ok, but in the evening I felt unsafe walking to the hotel. However, it's more about my impression of Manila as a dangerous city, not about the hotel.

Papua New GuineaThe bathroom / shower area floor in my room was not done well so the water from shower does not go directly into drain but stays in the shower area floor until it is cleaned up by room cleaners. This my rating for facilities, and cleanliness and over all is 9 / 10. Apart from this issue, the hotel is still the best one for a budget hotel and I would come and stay again hopeful in a better room.
Centrally located near malls, restaurants, banks, cafes, shops, heritage sites and many more. Apart from the simple and modern design, the hotel is one of the cleanest I have been in for its level and type in Manila. It is also is encouraging environment friendly practices such instead of standard 2 plastic water bottles in room the give you two empty glass cups which you can refill at a water refill station in the hallway at your room’s floor level. I got a room at the top floor with a window and nice view and the room was located at the corner where it was quiet and not noisy from people passing by the hallway.
