Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsWe stayed for two nights, but on both days, there were times with no electricity (which means no internet, AC, or fan). Additionally, we didn't have hot water at all. Also, the room seems more spacious at the pictures. Actually, it is quite tiny.
I must say that it is truly a unique place for those who want to stay very close to the pure nature of the jungle. There are a lot of birds, squirrels, and lizards, but keep in mind that some of them can easily get inside your room. However, we expected this, and it was not a problem for us. The mosquito net above the bed helps a lot, allowing for a good sleep without insects.

GermanyThe location in the jungle was really cool! The complimentary dinner was delicious and we even got a small fireplace set up next to us :) our host was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good as well. However, if you cant stand having animals in your room such as ants or even a gecko, this is NOT your accomodation! If you are fine with that, its an incredible experience :)

SwitzerlandThe Bamboo Cottages are in a rural and quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of El Nido, exactly what we were looking for. We received a free scooter, to reach the beautiful Lio Beach in 10 or El Nido Town in 20 minutes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the welcome dinner with a campfire just for us. Breakfast can be ordered the evening before and is then brought to the cottage. The cottages are beautifully nestled in the nature and offer everything you need. We enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend the Inigtan Loi Bamboo Cottages to all who love to be in a quite place in contact with nature.

CyprusThe road to the resort is very bumpy, and at night a bit spooky. Αt night a thieving rat grabbed our snacks and started eating them while we were sleeping.
The resort is located deep in the jungle, and the scenery is beautiful. The resort offers a motorbike for free and adinner under the stars with a bonfire. Also offers a very simple breakfast in bed.

AustraliaFrom the moment we were greeted, we felt welcomed! The staff are all so lovely and such a high level of service. We truly were impressed. It is worth staying the extra 20 mins outside of the town area. We recommend anyone who would like a different experience than staying at a standard hotel. Thank you Inigtan Team!!

United KingdomI was a little disappointed at the cleanliness of the bathroom, there was a spiders nest in the shower head and a lot of cobwebs around that area too but what bugged me was the hair that was present on top of the shower drain. Little things that are easily missed, my partners and I have eyes for cleanliness as we work on 5* cruise ships where everything has to be immaculate. It in no way ruined the stay, it’s just an honest finding on our part.
Beautiful views and so so peaceful. The family are lovely and had a welcome meal for us the first night, I didn’t join as I had a thumping headache. But my partner said the food was lovely. Breakfast was lovely, I chose the breakfast that came with toast but it was given toasted pandesal instead which was yummy but just be aware that somethings may be swapped out without notice and you may not get what you ordered. They messaged us asking what time we would like breakfast, they were late both times but hey you are in the Philippines and if you know you know. I don’t know if I would stay again as I’m a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to insects and wildlife although I slept fine both nights you do hear a lot of the wildlife, especially the tuko (gecko) which is really loud 😅 and actually found it’s way into the bamboo hut but my husband got it out safely and even though I’m unsure if I would stay I would definitely recommend. We borrowed the free scooter and although we had troubles twice someone always got back to us and then helped us out.

SwedenHendric and his family were really accommodating and did everything to make you feel welcome at their beautiful resort. When we arrived we were greeted with complementary coconut refreshments and assistance carrying our bags up to the cottage. As the sun set we were invited to a free dinner at the garden with a big bonfire creating a romantic ambiance (don’t miss it). Be prepared for a starry sky, and a magnificent bohemian experience in the beautiful Inigtan bamboo cottages. We will be back. Elma & Mathias

United StatesKeep in mind you’re in the middle of a jungle and bugs and animals are all around, so just know what you’re getting into.
Incredibly unique experience right in the middle of nature. The family and staff were super friendly and welcoming and made sure we had what we requested, including breakfast to the room, transportation, massages, and they even taught us how to play Filipino billiards.

AustraliaThe first night we stayed there was very loud karaoke til 2am. Obviously not the fault of the owners but it made the experience not very relaxing and very hard to sleep. The second night was lovely and quiet, could hear the sounds of nature around us There was no safe and no locks on the doors. We were the only guests the first night, it was a little unsettling being so remote without being able to lock the door. A locking door would be great! The wifi wasn't very strong at all, but I'd imagine would be hard to get wifi in this more secluded area. It is about 20 mins out of town but the offer of scooters was very helpful
The cottage itself was beautiful, so well put together. We loved the big bed and the hammock in the ceiling, made watching the sunset in the afternoon so relaxing. It was so nice to be surrounded by nature and we loved that we were able to use the scooter whenever we wanted to get in to town. Breakfast was so yummy! The manager and his family were so attentive, we were able to chat to them via WhatsApp which was very handy.

Hong KongThere were bugs. As expected considering youre in the jungle. If you can't handle that, don't book but the mosquito net keeps the bed comfortable. If you're keen for a different experience and want to stay away from the tourist area, surrounded by real Filipino life, certainly worth a stay.
The location is beautiful and the cottage is well done and comfortable. The bathroom was far nicer than we expected it would be. The staff are helpful and are doing something very special which is rare for their location.
