Some of the washrooms needed to be checked more frequently for hand soap and tissue. But whenever I asked the staff was happy to help and accommodating.

I enjoy some exercise which was good as it is situated up a hill. Nice to be out of town a little though.

Quirky with a nice shared space. Rooms were comfortable with excellent air con. Privacy curtain, light and individual charge points are good.

Up two big hills! Door opens right onto the road but quiet area so not really an issue. Doors to bathroom and shower fairly see through!

tarting with the rooms – they’re actually really nice. Clean, new, and surprisingly comfy, especially considering what you usually get around here. It’s not common to find new blankets and sheets in hostels in the Philippines, but J&J nailed it. Soft and cozy all the way. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but honestly, the price makes up for it. Plus, the beds are so comfortable you barely notice. And there’s enough space under the bed for your suitcase, so you’re not tripping over stuff all the time. The bathroom is also pretty spacious and well-designed, which is a big plus. Now, about the host – this guy is amazing. Seriously, he saved us. A couple of us got really sick one night, and we were in a bit of a panic. We needed to get to a hospital, and he was all over it. First offered to take us on his scooter, but when we realized that wasn’t going to work, he got a van for us in like 15 minutes. And then, he picked us up from the hospital at 4am. Without him, I don’t know what we would have done. So, big shoutout to J&J Hostel. Great place to stay, and the host goes above and beyond. If you’re looking for a spot in the Philippines, this is it.

Wifi in the rooms not great at all. But works perfectly fine in the reception and lounge area. Shower and bathroom very small and right in the room, so not very private and you can hear everything (we didnt really mind).

The beds are comfortable, though if you’re taller than 180cm, you won’t fit. Location is good, a tad quieter than right in town and it’s just a few minutes walk down the hill to town centre. Staff were amazing and friendly, very helpful. Air con in the room was great. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Only downside is probably if u are getting there on foot, there are some super stee hills. So goodluck!

It was quite pleasant. Our rooms were very nice, and the pool was a very nice addition, especially on a hot day, and the views are quite stunning. The hostel is also super close to Mount Tapyas.

I enjoyed my stay here so much, I extended twice! The staff went above and beyond to help and the accommodation standards were brilliant with great AC, lights and plug sockets in your bed, toilet/shower. No complaints from me! 😊
