Zero internet connection our 4 days 3 nights stay, glad we had our own sim cards and data to do other research etc.

Location, owners, room size, accessibility to scooters and laundry. Great value for money. We really like the filipino style bed (I.e. medium to firm) so it suited us perfectly.

Only slight complaints are poor wifi and occasionally the water would stop running but we just gave it a few minutes and it usually returned without an issue.

Basic but has everything you need if you’re on a budget! The room is comfortable, the staff are great, we were able to do our laundry and the location was perfect.

Water would often not be running and we were told to take bucket showers from moldy bucket. WiFi doesn’t work in or outside of room.

Great location. Walking distance to everywhere you need. Clean property. And owner was helpful when needed.

The homestay is at a great location. The place has everything you need for your stay. Janhour is really nice, friendly, and super helpful at all times, even giving me a ride to places that were close just so I didn't get lost

This is a great stay if you are looking for a budget option. The internet is a bit patchy but this is widespread across Port Barton.

Great location and host. Walking distance from everything and the host was really welcoming. Fairly basic facilities but it has everything you need. The host offered a clothes washing service for a small fee, and gave us great tips and tricks to ensure we made the most of our time in Port Barton. Right next door to a pharmacy and ATM too which is handy!

It is a budget place, so you get what you pay for. The owner of the place was really nice, we rented scooters from him for a cheap price, and at the end I forgot my swimsuit in the room and he gave it to a van that brought it to me to Puerto Princesa ! It was a really nice gesture !

Just a few points that would improve the property/stay massively: - emptying bathroom bin. We had to ask to have this done and then it was just placed outside our room in an open bin with chickens and dogs running around it didn’t feel hygienic. - we extended our stay from 3 nights to 5 and weren’t offered a change of bedding or towels. - the bathroom door isn’t attached properly and so lacks privacy. Also the mosquito net in the bathroom has gaps and so loads came into the bathroom and due to the door- then the bedroom. Just something to note that would be easily fixed

Central in port Barton. A few minutes walk to the beach. The host family live beside and are so lovely and can’t do enough to help you

The host was friendly and helpful. They connected us with the tour guide and the transport to El Nido. Additionally, in the place we could have contact with nature because they had puppies and chicken babys.

Close to the bus station and beach. The host was super friendly and had tips for what to do around Port Barton. The room I had was basic but that was fine, and had AC.

Location was perfect, just 3 min from the beach. Shops and restaurants very close. Very close to the bus terminal.

We booked 4 nights here, but only needed 3 due to us leaving late on the 3rd evening to catch a flight. We didn’t want to check out at 12pm so paid for the extra night so we could have the room all day until we needed to leave, and be able to pack/shower leisurely etc. We notified a staff member of this so they were aware it wouldn’t be occupied during that fourth night and we would return the keys in the evening when we leave. They completely mis understood and tried to make us leave at 12pm after our third night and could not understand that we had PAID to be there, even after showing them my booking. Was asking if I wanted to extend the stay, and that I needed to leave before 12 so the new guests can come, which is obviously not possible as we had the room booked until 12pm the FOLLOWING day. I had to take a short motorbike ride to a school to speak to another lady and explain this, it was all very long winded and probably took over an hour to sort out and really messed with our plans for our last day in Port Barton. I am sure this was an innocent mistake that reflected poor English but it was a stressful last day! we also had laundry done where and two items (that we know off) weren’t returned, we had to go back twice to ask for these. so maybe a better system could be put in place to organise the laundry as if I hadn’t of noticed these would have not been returned to me…it’s hard to remember all clothes you handed over! this does not reflect the overall stay, and the staff were friendly. just worth noting!

It was clean and comfortable, in a great location and offered tea/coffee/hot water which was really appreciated.

Great location in the centre of Port Barton. The family are very helpful and friendly, they told me about local waterfalls to visit, how to walk the beach path to Coconut Beach, you can rent a scooter directly from them for a good price. the room is simple, a great base for relaxing in Port Barton.
