How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The floors seemed to be cleaned all the time but it looked like the walls in the showers weren't being cleaned and stuff was left in the caddy's in the shower and not removed when cleaned.
The staff were all really friendly, there was staff cleaning all the time, they had filtered water available, kitchen if needed, a pool, tables by pool and a lounge area for chilling. Had hand towels for drying hands in the bathroom. Had sun shower faucets which was quite a nice touch

Decent hostel. bathroom wasn't that clean, but fair for the price. Not to far by tuktuk or walking from city center.

The small in the corredor and room are not pleasant. The water smell a bit as well, and it is cold. The ac does not work properly, we had to ask to be fix it, but at the end it was very warm and did not worked
The location is nice, near to the Corong Corong beach. Also 3 min from the city center by tuk tuk (100 pesos), or 25 min walking. This is good because the area is quiet. We booked the tour A with them and we had pick up, which was nice. The place is quite small, but there are some nice common area. Breakfast is nice, you get to cook your own egg, and they provide banana and watermelon, 2 types for breads and biscuit. They do have a lot of beds, but the place is clean most of the time.

Room was very hot and AC wasn’t working. Had to ask the staff for a fan to have in the room as it was so hot.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Was great meeting other people who were traveling. Like how chilled and relaxed the place was.

Location a bit far from town and lockers provided will not fit larger bags. Bit pricey for what you get really.

Aircon doesn't seem to be working in night as it use to be in the day. Felt bit of warm in the night.
The fantastic vibe throughout this stay, coupled with meeting new people from different geographies and cultures, makes time fly.

Not allow to have separate sleeper inside. Should allow guest to bring the clean one not barefooted because not all use to like me.

The only reason why I couldn’t give a higher rating is wi-fi connection which is a real struggle. No connection in the rooms and very slow also in the common areas likely due to the high number of guests. Need to be improved for higher rating otherwise all was good.
Large hostel and facilities look new. Very well located 3 mins walk from Corong Beach and walkable distance to downtown.

The indoor and outdoor common areas are nice and the hostel was quite social. The beds were comfy and I liked that there is a kitchen to cook your own food or you can order Italian food from restaurant next door for delivery.

One day they didn’t have gas so you couldn’t make eggs for breakfast. No towel, you have to pay for them. Small bathroom for many people.
It was clean and beds were comfortable. Good breakfast (eggs, bread, cookies and fruits). They provide water for free. Good place to meet people.
