I was on a top bunk right under the aircon so it was a bit cold for me at night.

Property is amazing! Love the pool, common area and rooftop. Great location on the main road, with beach access and still very quiet.

The water. It smells mixed of iron. Theres no water too if theres no electricity. They wont open the generator that long if the black out is taking hours already.

At 8am they turn off the AC and the dormitory gets so hot that it's not possible to sleep. There are only 2 fans in the room for 12 beds so it's not possible to be in the room until the night since it's so hot.

The common space is great, has a pool and a kitchen to cook. Very well located

the staff were unfriendly and the second room was not very clean. also by virtue of the style of hut there was a pretty bad ant problem in both of our rooms. we ended up getting bitten by ants badly.

the shared area is great and location is right next to the beach (although it is not the beach front property as it appears in the photo!)

There's no WiFi, and the aircon seems to need maintenance because it's not cooling the room according to how the thermostat reading suggests it. The property gives us electric fans, though, to manage the heat in the room.

The owner and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The place is what is advertised, it is just a few steps from the beach and near to mostly everything. The pool and the patio are a perfect way to chill around mid day, where the sun strikes too hot. The roof deck is perfect for sunset watching and moon/star gazing at night. It's amazing how quiet the place where was, even though it's near the busiest part of GL.

I didn’t like that the AC in our room is not that cold eventhough the temperature is lowest. Also, the water has this funny smell like a rotten egg. They already explained it that the smell is because of the sulfur. It is not that harmful but we need to use a minera water to brush our teeth

I like that the location of the Resort is near the beach and establishments in General Luna.

The location! It's few steps from the beach, near bars , restaurants, atms, they have pool as well.

I think this is a common feedback. The sulphuric odor of the water, which is kinda common in Siargao. I was able to tolerate it but not with others. Also, one of their dogs tried to bite my bag and doesn't like leave it (but it was fun)

Really cute concept of private bungalows but execution leaves a bit to be desired. The room was a bit dirty (perhaps from the nipa roof and untreated wooden beams shedding), the sink water had a bit of a potent sulfuric smell, and there were multiple mosquitos in the room at all times. The pool reeks of chlorine and the water is murky.

The staff is very kind, including the owner! Very helpful and responsive. The common area was fun to hang out in and it was easy to meet other travelers. You can’t beat the location as well, it’s walkable and close to everything in General Luna, but a bit removed from the main road so it’s quieter at night and it’s closer to the beach!

the place is nice but the dorm. seems overcrowded and dark, with very little personal space around the bed. You do have a locker in the dorm. the plugs are so old and sometimes not working. the water constantly has this very strong smell of mixed iron? And sometimes comes out yellow - probably what I most disliked about the property.

Even if you open/keep the shower & faucet running for minutes, the water has strong rotten egg odour (attributed to iSulfur byproduct). Adding to the problem, the exhaust hole/window is so small, dirty, and doesn't help to eliminate the foul smell of the water. It is a health hazard! There's no available hair dryer & toiletries (except for tissue) provided by the resort. The blanket is as thin as a paper that it doesn't provide any warmth. After our island hopping tour, we found our bungalow partially tidied up only - the towels not changed and trash not collected. You need to go to the reception area and follow up on such basic services. The staff seems to be more on the vacation mode than the resort guests - either chilling on the lounging spots or chitchating with other staff/resort guests.

The saving grace of Kawili resort is its location - it is along the Tourism road & near / walking distance to any establishments in General Luna.

Wifi wasn't great. Showers were pretty awful and stunk out the whole room. Pool was okay but when I stayed there it was regularly closed for cleaning and definitely wasn't the cleanest. Not much of a social vibe at all and I stayed there for a week. Met a few people but if you want more of a social vibe, definitely stay elsewhere.

The room was of decent size with good storage for bags. Beds were comfortable with having a blind on one side (they were on the way to installing more blinds when I stayed there) Toilets were nice and regularly cleaned. Staff were super helpful with recommending massage places, bike rental and any other enquiries you had. Really nice kitchenette to cook/store food during your stay. Location was very quiet and walkable to multiple bars/clubs.
