Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomStunning location, extremely friendly and helpful manager who arranged an island hopping tour for us. Simple but delicious food and drinks. We also made use of the kayak and took a trip over to snake island. Overall, the perfect place to spend a few nights!

BulgariaWi-fi was a bit unstable and sometimes lost. Variety of the food options is limited.
Exclusive property, private small beach, lush jungle right behind it. Variety of excursions available for your choice - tour C was excellent. The flexibility to accommodate our need for an early check-out.

SwitzerlandContacting the Reception of the Resort for the booking was not so easy but it is worth to remain patient and resend the request again if the first was not responded (although we understood only after we had arrived when we saw how small this site is). The website does not clearly reflect the beauty of this spot and does not really show the tour offers.
This resort owned and run by a Filipino family has only 5 cottages and is therefore very private. The owner and manager, Alex, arranges everything to meet the wishes and needs of his guests (tours, shuttles, dives - at first glance much more expensive than in El Nido, but you have to consider that these are private tours with only 4-6 guests and the chance to visit the famous places before the boats from El Nido arrive, not only because it leaves 60-90 minutes earlier, but also because it is much closer). Lunch and dinner were always delicious. We could see the kitchen changing the menu offerings when vegan guests arrived. The location of the resort is also fantastic: there are two small, very private beaches with lots of sun loungers. The highlight is the terrace where meals are served: It is so beautifully situated and lit up in the evening. And finally, the resort is by paddle boat only 10-15 minutes away from Snake Island. The price includes breakfast, lunch and dinner; considering also the site and the privacy which is offered here, the price is more than fair.

New ZealandNothing everything was great.
Quiet hide away from the rest of the world. A beautiful tropical get away. Private speed boat tour in the morning (full or half day) enabled us to get ahead of the tourist crowds and noise. We were able to enjoy beaches by ourselves on many occasions. Fully catered, we didn't have to do anything but snorkel kyack swim read go on tours sleep eat....the photos don't do it justice. A great unwind and total relax. Loved the peace and quiet. Easy airplane to taxi to boat transfer - all arranged for us. Even for early flights. Thanks Erica our stay was excellent.

South KoreaThere are not really interesting snorkeling spot around the resort. You need to go far from resort by Kayak. So if it is windy season, there are not so much things to do apart from relax on the beach. ;-)
So quiet and relaxing. It is an expensive resort but worth it if you are seeking a quiet place. Food was great. Room was very clean. No insect :-)

ThailandI liked the superb view of ocean and islands, the intimate scale of the resort with only 5 bunglows, the friendly and helpful staff and proprietor, the simplicity and lack of pretense, and the privacy that the resort afforded with its own beach in a secluded cove.

United KingdomI would say be prepared to cut your days short as it takes 15 mins to get to the island via boat into main town. So expected to be back at the port at 4-5:30pm. But you can do plenty before that time. Secondly the WiFi was weak, it would be great to see that boosted!
The property is on a private island with breathtaking views. It’s family owned so there’s a real sense of inclusiveness with Alex and his team. Food is excellent as well as the amenities. Private boat tour is highlight of the stay. You avoid large touristic crowds and enjoy the islands till your hearts content with Alex’s team. Who by the way are amazing!

AustraliaAlex and his team provided amazing start to end service, making sure there was someone at each stop upon arrival to make sure we arrived safely from taxi drop off to boat port all the way through to our accomodation. he also made sure we made it safely to our next destination with that same service. he’s staff went above and beyond to cater to our every needs. everyone was extremely friendly and joyful. the attention to detail made everything extra special making our stay feel extremely high end. The staff took time out to show us how to make some tradition bamboo style origami and there tours and tour guides were amazing making us feel extremely safe and well taken care of. Also the private beach cottages are amazing, walking out the door directly onto sand on the beach. the sound of the ocean made our sleeps peacefull. the rooms themselves are extremely spacious. there are a maximum of 10 guests at this accomodation making everything very quiet and peaceful making it feel like we were the only ones on the whole island. Be sure to try their missionary drink at the bar made by bing and sherrel! the two best people we met during our whole travels :)

United StatesI loved that it is family owned and only has 5 rooms, so you feel the personalized attention to details. Alex, the owner, provides a speed boat, with captain and tour crew that are very knowledgeable and very efficient. We didn’t have to go at the pace of major tour operators, and we could choose how long to stay at each destination. We have three kids (between ages 5-10) as well as my two elderly parents and the crew was very helpful and patient on every trip with them. We spent my daughter’s 8th birthday there and Erica and family went out of their way to make it very special for her, they really thought of everything from favorite foods to cake and decorations and even how to surprise her. During our three weeks in the Philippines, we visited over 19 beaches, the Kudugman beach was the cleanest and softest sand and calm enough waves for our kids to enjoy.
