No dark coloured courtains so it gets bright in the rooms very early. But this was like the only thing we found a little annoying.

Very nice rooms, super friendly staff and the manager, Brad, is a very friendly guy who treats the employees with much respect. Also we really liked the beach bar, unfortunately it is closed Monday and Tuesday, but for a good reason - The manager told us they only hire staff from the same village, so they are lacking people at the moment and do not want the existing staff to work 7 days a week. Great attitude!

They only cleaned every third day which was a bit of a stretch.

It was very cosy and kind of nice to live a bit from General Luna. The staff was really nice and they had a nice breakfast and a beach bar with god food. You can rent motorbikes and the staff spoke English really well.

A bit far from General Luna.

Located near the beach, in a quiet area, this property is the right place to stay, if you seek to spend your vacation in a relaxing laissez-faire way. The property comes with a beach bar, where you can enjoy good music and some snacks and of course beer and cocktails all day long, at quite reasonable prices. Brad, the host is a very nice guy and made us feel like home. The staff is friendly and always helped with our demands.

Clean room very friendly staff and owner close to the sea and not far from general luna town. Comfortable bed nice room and bathroom everything was working well. Access to private beach and nice bar there. Scooter available.

A couple of sun lounges with a sun umbrella on the beach side would have been a bonus.

Lovely good size room and a bonus was a water despenser with unlimited water, no need to buy plastic bottles! The staff and the owner were very friendly and helpful! The location is out of town and quiet. The restaurant/bar is lovely on the beach, a bit limited menu though. We would recommend you rent a scooter, as there are only a few restaurants within walking distance. Great beach for swimming at high tide and walking at low tide. We can really recommend this lovely place!

The low tide twice a day but I guess our host cannot change that ...

Everything was exactly what we were hoping for : away from the city but easy to get there by tricycle, super calm, beautiful 180° sea view from all rooms, beautiful private beach and beach bar, super breakfast, and very very nice team ... very helpful for tricycle, car rental, laundry etc. We could not have been happier for our 1st week in Philippines ... !!

I like the location of the Villas in Brgy Malinao. I like the morning view and the Bar. You can stay for a while in the evening. Everything is peaceful. Everyone is approachable and friendly.

The best resort around General Luna town. The host was super friendly Canadian guy from Vancouver Island. Everything was set up by western standards. Beds were comfy and nice. Beach bar was super chilling. Staff was amazing. Absolutely fantastic experience.

This place is amazing! A picturesque location right on the beach, with bar facilities open from 12-8pm most days (Wed-Sun), where we met lots of friendly travellers, locals and expats. Brad and his team were friendly and helpful and gave us some great tips on how to spend our days in Siargao. Lagkaw is a quiet and peaceful location, with a super chill atmosphere where you can truly relax. but it’s also only a 10min tricycle ride from General Luna (and even closer to Secret Beach). We opted not to hire our own motorbikes, but it was very easy to get a cheap and quick ride into town from one of the local tricycle drivers. Kuya Tata was a very reliable and friendly tricycle driver and even took us on a private land tour at a very reasonable price. Many thanks Brad and team for this fantastic week in your tropical paradise!

Lovely big private room away from main block, food was good at the bar on the beach, very friendly and helpful staff assisting me with my tours and onward travel. Loved that it was away from the noise of the town with a great view of the sea.

The place is little bit far from the center. About 5-10minutes to get to the GL by motorbike. You definitelly need a motorbike to stay at this place.

Tour “guide” from external company was terrible (1.5 hours late for pick-up, didn’t come on the boat with us, said that English was spoken — but it was not). (Tour with visit to see jellyfish.)

We chose this place initially as we are looking for a beachfront place that is not that pricey as compared to the other ones in the middle of Gen Luna, and we’re glad we did. We are more than satisfied with our 5 day stay at Lagkaw Siargao Villas. The rooms are spacey and clean, the staff are very accommodating (they can help with tour arrangements, ride/shuttle assistance, laundry, and gear rentals), they have lots of food to choose from (if you prefer to cook, they have a large, common kitchen to use), and lastly, the whole place is well-maintained. The only thing to consider is its location as it’s a bit off to Gen Luna but we actually preferred that. It’s around 10-15 mins walk to Doot Beach and tuktuks/motorcycles for rent are everywhere. If we ever go back to Siargao, we’ll be rebooking here again.
