Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAircon in the dorms isn't great, but the villas are good. Had a few issues with the water and the communal showers aren't the best, but again the villas are good.
Good location, but you need to rent a ped to get up the hill! Very close to the beach and other areas. Staff were really helpful and all lovely. Has a small pool that over looks the beach and it's right next to the zipline.

NorwayThe staff didn’t seem to care. They didn’t greet you when you when you arrived, and both days we had a reservation they had problems with the booking, so we didn’t get the room we had already paid for, so we had to book a villa (with fantastisk view) instead, but to the double cost. They didn’t compensate.
Fantastic view from the villas and restaurant. Probably the best. A man in the reseption desk was very nice and helpful.

United KingdomWhen we arrived, we were told to communicate with one of the stores staff to have free shuttle arranged to pick us up. However, they had no idea what we are talking about or what we ant from them. It took us 40 minutes back and forth until we finally reached the hostel to come and pick us up. So I would suggest you somehow communicate in advance so you don't have to stay in the heat. Food and drink are quite pricey. Small bottle of water cost me 100php. But you can refill it afterwards The biggest disappointment was that we weren't informed that the pool is closed. That was the main reason I booked this hostel as the pool area has an amazing views. And then on the day of check out, the cleaning works were complete but we didn't had a chance to use it. Don't trust tuk tuks they offer, to take us to certain location they quoted us 500pho more than we got charge in the end by someone else. A lot places are still under construction
The views are BREATHTAKING! This is the best thing about this hostel. Beds are comfortable Zip line to another island is just next to it Free shuttle service as the property is on A VERY steep hill Clean rooms and a/c working properly Beaches are just down the hill Very peaceful and relaxing

NorwayThe staff where amazing and the view/location was stunning. The wifi did not meet expectations, but i know they are working on improving it. Was a bit disappointed to call them beforehand and recieve assurances that the wifi would be able to support my needs only to find out it didn't. Otherwise the hostel could have some minor fixes here and there, like in the bahtroom and improving the organization (remembering laundry and small things). Overall i am really happy about the stay though, because of the people there. The people there really put up on effort and you can really tell that they like working for the hostel and with eachother. This gives me strong belief that they will progress and end up having a wonderful 5/5 hostel in the near future!

ItalyThe dorms are old and many things are broken. The Ac is the noisiest thing ever. I booked a tour at night and the next morning it was not booked, the lady from reception didn't know and called last minute also they take a generous fee on top of the fixed price so I recommend booking in town on your own. They have a restaurant, the service is really slow, the food is not good and more expensive compared to other places.
The common area is really nice and it has an amazing view.

CanadaRooms and washrooms were very old and unappealing, in serious need of renovation and furnishings. Sinks barely worked and no soap provided. Room was inadequately lighted.
Fantastic hilltop view, cafe, pool, amazing staff that are genuinely happy to see you, cool room. They also provide free lifts to the hostel as it is atop a very steep hill.

SpainI think that the facilities could be better and the details in both the rooms and the common areas. It has potential but polishing aspects such as the windows, the doors, the wall paintings, the lights, etc Be aware that if has a huge slope to arrive there . Thankfully, the hotel offers up free transportation to the nearby area . I would recommend extending this transportation to a larger area or offer up free motos for the guests (the price is high for the current offerings)

United KingdomThe hostel pool is out of order and the WiFi is not really good enough/cuts out too much for this to be a co-work space. The water was often not working and there was sometimes a bad smell from the drains in our bathroom. There also is a lot of construction work going on in and around the hostel so it can be noisy. We made the best of it but it seems quite different from the pictures and description!
The location is outside El Nido (150peso ~10mins) in a quieter area and a short walk to a complex with shops, food and a lovely beach where you can swim and sit in the hotel bars. Very nice, kind, helpful staff who helped us organise tours and were very communicative over WhatsApp when’s arranging pick up/drop off. They were really accommodating when we arrived before checkin and let us have a different room until ours was ready. The food from the bar was lovely and there was live music one of the nights which was cool.

United KingdomThere was no water and electricity for very large portions of our stay. This made it very difficult to do anything. The hostel was right at the top of a very very steep hill. One day we had to go two days without a shower before they eventually offered us a bucket and a cup to shower with. The pool was also out of service during our stay - we were not previously informed of this.
The dorms were lovely and each bed had plenty of space. The view from the bar was amazing and the staff were friendly.

DenmarkThe WiFi. I'm sorry to say but we booked this hostel because the reviews said it was a good place for digital nomads. They have a Coworking space and a lot of WiFi routers. It was very important for me to have good Internet connection because I had to work but the Internet was the worst I had ever experienced in a hostel. It was extremely frustrating. I spend the entire day on trying to make it work. In the end I bought a simcard with data to make a WiFi hot-spot for my phone. That didn't work either because the connection is just really really bad in the hostel. In the end I lost a lot of money because I couldn't work and had to tell my clients that I couldn't deliver what I had promised. Maybe I was just unlucky with the Internet those days when I was staying, but we only booked the hostel because they promised us to have good WiFi. The staff tried to help as much as they could but I think the area is just really badly connected to Internet. I would still recommend the hostel just not for the WiFi 😊
Beautiful location on top of a cliff. The view from the restaurant is amazing. The food is some of the best food we had in the Philippines. The staff is super friendly (both from the hostel and from the restaurant) and they will do anything to help you. The beds are really good, the bathrooms are fine and the rooms are big. You are close to an amazing beach and a super cool zipline. And you can always take a tricycle to the city. I really loved staying in this hostel. The atmosphere is really really great and there's a pool table and a swimming pool. So many cute dogs and cats and the cutest little puppy 😭 When you get there you'll have to go up a really steep road. You can walk it but it might be too hard with your luggage. They will send a shuttle for you if you contact them when you arrive. Just call them on WhatsApp. I would recommend you to buy a cheap sim card in advance (we didn't have one so we had to go to the beach and ask someone for WiFi) and call the hotel. The shuttle will come and pick you up super fast.
