Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkEverything! Exceptional help from our butler Claudia who made our stay extra special! We spent every evening at Henris watching the sunset. We just could not get enough. We had a villa with pool and enjoyed the privacy and the incredible view from the villa over the bay at all times. We hope to come back!

CanadaIt’s too far from town, it can get really expensive paying for transfers to and from town. It was so out of the way that it was hard for tricycles to get there and the roads to it are really rough, you basically need a truck to get into and out of the property. It’s great if you want isolation but we wanted to explore so it was definitely out of the way.
Beautiful grounds, great service.

United KingdomNeeds a bit more maintenance but it’s not at the “end of the world” level. You might also get some bugs in your room but that’s expected for a resort in the trees.
Small boutiquey hotel with large villas. Nice and quiet and really peaceful. Walking distance from El Nido town. Great chefs and great service from the butlers.

PhilippinesWhilst the location makes for the beautiful views, it’s also hard to get around. Every time we wanted to leave the villa (not the resort - just our villa!) we had to arrange a car ride. I found this inconvenient, especially with young children. We also found the resort’s drivers unreliable when we left the resort with them (eg told they’d be waiting for us, but actually they left and we’d wait another 30 mins for them to return again - this was a real problem for us with small kids in the heat). This really needs to improve given the premium price they charge for the driver/trip. The isolation / inability to leave the resort independently also means the resort charges extortionate prices for tours etc (… 2-3x the price charged for the exact same tour by operators in town). We were also quoted p7000 for a roundtrip to a beach 15 mins away - insane by usual Philippine standards
Absolutely stunning views. Our villa was huge and really beautiful - even nicer than it looks in the photos. Henri’s was amazing too (the view, and the food was really great too) - highly recommend. Lovely staff all round - very friendly and polite, and fantastic with our kids.

SwitzerlandI would say that the value for money in this hotel is not the best. The spread for the breakfast buffet is a little bit thin compared to other 5* hotels in the Philippines. You also have to pay for extra activities exclusive to the hotel and the costs a lot more expensive than other providers from outside the hotel , .e.g going to their exclusive lounges, island tours...For the price we have paid, I would've also expected more amenities to be offered to the guests, such as shuttle transfers (shuttle transfers to El Nido town is an added cost each time). We also had a water shortage on our last day and had to take a shower and use the bathroom of the spa located at the ground floor which was a bit of a hassle.
The hotel is located in the main island of El Nido so it was possible to go to El Nido town during the day or evening. The room was very nice, very spacious and the bathroom with a natural exterior shower was lovely. The butler service is very good. They catered to all our requests even before arriving at the hotel. The staff was also very responsive to all communication before and during our stay. The spa was very good as well. My partner had a very bad sunburn and after 1 treatment at the spa, his sun blisters were all gone! View of the sunset at Henri's bar was stunning!!

United Arab EmiratesThe smell around the swimming pool and pool restaurant is horrible. They filter their own water which make the water safe for ice cubes for example but the treatment facility is near the pool and gives a horrible smell.
This is the best resort in El Nido. The staff was amazing. The food was good. The restaurant has the best view possible. And we have access to a private beach and private lagoon.

My husband & I renewed our vows & surprised our family. It was on the rooftop of Henri’s at sunset followed by dinner. The staff worked with me every step of the way & provided support & suggestions to make our special event perfect!

United KingdomThe problem is when you charge £650 a night every thing has to be spot on, and it isn’t. At £300 it would be 10/10. Needs some money spent on it to bring it up to 5*+ that price suggests Issue with location too , as you have to have a boat or 4x4 to go anywhere unless you walk along beach , which you can do when tide is out ( but you really wouldn’t want to at night)
There are sensational views from the hotel. Gym spa tennis all excellent and staff were fantastic. Speed boat into town great and so was the day trip (but you pay top dollar!) Henris is spectacular at sunset.

United StatesThe stay was great, but if I have to pick a few things that were not perfect I would say, 1. The villa’s infinity pool was full of leaves and bugs, and never cleaned throughout the stay. 2. Maybe a few options to customize the breakfast, although many of the items were very good. 3. It would be nice if the funicular was working. It was 13 flights of stairs (130ft) from the base to our villa, but luckily they provided a car that would take us up. However, it was a hassle to keep asking the butler for a ride.
The staff were amazing, very eager to help and do everything they could to make your stay memorable. Hanah, our butler, was very attentive and made the stay extra special. The best part about the resort was Henri’s, at the very top of the hill. They should emphasize that you should go up to the sun deck bar for the sunset view, and also that there is a pool guests can use. We only wish we had known about Henri’s earlier. The restaurant itself was also very high quality and reasonably priced for the level of service, view, and food quality.

South KoreaFor the price the resort was ok, very small pool and if you have your guest pay expensive price for the resort don’t have them pay expensive price for the activities or they won’t do them.
The food was very delicious always. The staff is very professional and very polite. I will have to say the best part about my stay and what made me stay an extra night are my two butlers Anne and Jessica. They are the best at what they do, they are amazing and should be given a higher rank or raise. I loved them like crazy and very very professional and caring to my needs. My hats off to them. If anyone wants to go to this resort, request these two girls, absolutely the gems of the resort.

This is one of the BEST PLACE that i've visited in mylife as life traveler. Location: This hotel is located in very private island and bring you the most peaceful but vibrant place for your holiday. Service: From the beginning of the journey, butlers are greeting us from the airport and care never ends even after I leave the places. Butlers and staffs are extremely friendly, taking care of you every place you are visiting and very thoughtful service - (the best was, when we got back from swimming/kayaking, they brought us cold tower to fresh us up! Food: Henri's has the BEST VIEW from daytime till the evening. Sunset is the best from the top of the island and the food is really well organized and served with good quality. Drinks: they do have lots of great options from cocktails, whiskey, wines. I loved the Mosco mule from the pool the most. Facilities: Gym, Sauna, Pool (two places) and Tour service everything was over the expectation. Staff: I've been to lots of 5star hotels and private resorts. staffs in Lihim was the BEST. I see their service is from their heart.

The resort is stunning and completely tucked away, yet only minutes from El Nido by speedboat. We had gorgeous views of the bay from our room, and ate the majority of our meals on the balcony because it was such a great setup. (Definitely eat as many Breakfasts in the room as possible!). We had a villa with a pool, and I'd definitely recommend that type of room. The rooftop pool at Henri's was great as well, and the perfect place to watch sunset (make sure to go up for cocktails too). We ate dinner on the terrace to enjoy the fresh air, but the inside restaurant looked great as well. The facilities were great - gorgeous pool that gets full sun at the entrance and main restaurant, and a decent gym and great spa - make sure to get a massage! It's the people that really made it though, Claudia and Faith went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, from organizing our breakfasts, to customizing a private island hopping day, they did it all. We went out twice with Rio and Mark on the speedboat and had the best time - island hopping is a must, it's so stunning. Make sure to have lunch at their private lagoon (Cadlao lagoon) as well.
