How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The first room we stayed in had a bit of a bad smell and some damp but when we told the staff about this they were great and moved us to a new room which was perfect!
Staff were extremely helpful and rooms were a good size and location was excellent

The bathroom needs improvement! There was holes in the ceiling, the drains smelt (to the extent that we had to always keep the bathroom door closed) and the shower pressure was pretty much non existent- don’t even think about washing your hair whilst you’re there!
The room was a good size, had a balcony & provided towels. The property was in a really good location too, opposite some markets and just a short walk to Corong- Corong beach and the centre of el nido town. Fine for a night or two but not as ideal for a longer stay.

A bit noisy if you are not a deep sleeper. Shower with low pressure (but I reckon this is happening in all the Philippines). The room was very clean when we checked in but they didn’t clean during our stay.
The location was great. Walking distance from center and beach. The room was big enough and confortable with a good aircon. Staff so friendly and welcoming. They help us to book some tours.

Staff could have been a little friendlier. But we weren’t around a lot so didn’t really impact our stay. I’d recommend to anyone on a budget
We got a room on top floor which was clean, comfortable, warm showers, AC. Water refill. 20min walk to town.

The first room we had was covered in black mould, luckily they moved us when requested the next day and that room was fine Breakfast was cheap which is good but the second and third day they had limited options and never knew what would be in stock the next day
The man who works on the desk during the day is so lovely!! Always happy to help. Very good location just outside the main centre Arrange bike hire and washing for cheap. Free water. I left my drivers license and the worker came and dropped off to my location, very kind! Cheap hotel compared to the rest of el nido.

They didn't empty our bins. Stayed for 4days and 3nights.
Like the location. Walking distance to the port and restaurants. Van can drop off and pick up easily. Staffs are ok.

The drains in the bathroom could use a good clean as it started to smell during the mid day heat. But i am also aware that cleaning drains properly while making sure to use products that dont damage marine life is difficult.
Friendly staff, free purified water and close to all the areas I wanted to walk to in El Nido. Our toilet broke while we were staying and the staff were quick to fix the issue and were very apologetic for the inconvenience.

It's not really the hotels fault however the main road is super noisy so we didn't really sleep much for the 4 days we were there, which was a bit annoying. I would suggest rooms that are not on the road for a better stay. Scooter provided wasn't great, speedometer didnt work and couldn't open the seat. Clean, spacious, aircon all positive just the seriously loud main road really put a dampener on the stay for us.
Rooms clean & tidy, good size. Aircon worked well. Staff were friendly. 8 mins walk down to El Nido town so close enough to everything.

A bit of loud road noise. If you want quiet, ask for a room away from the street.
Friendly, helpful and clean :) If you want a hotel slightly away from the centre (but still very good location, and easily walkable to the centre), this is good.

Staff were friendly and helpful, gave me fan for room because i hate AC. Nice to eat breakfast in front of the cliffs. Close to but station to continue trip.

Didn’t like that you couldn’t add on breakfast to our stay but it wasn’t a make or break, just would’ve been nice to eat at the hotel on super early days.
Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Open area on third floor was perfect for morning coffee and baby to roam around. AC worked well, hot shower available and available cold/hot water for drinking at any time of day. There was someone on site 24/7 if you ever needed anything. Good location, walkable to any part of the bayan. Perfect for us!

I couldn't sleep in my room on 2nd floor due to the street noise. But they changed to the room on 3rd floor and it was much better.
The staff were really kind and tried to manage what I asked. They kept my luggage and offered shower service with 75 peso per person after check out.

Rooms are very small, lack of small fridge in the room or even glasses. No breakfast. Weak wi-fi.
Rooms have balcony with a lovely view. Location rather ok. Between corong corong and El Nido beach. Nice open air dining area.
