Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe rooms are modern, spacious and lovely :). The food was nice, the swimming pool is big and with a deep side. We appreciated the additional touch of providing wooden (and not plastic!) toothbrushes to guests :). Something we can actually keep using. We also loved the black sand beach with hammocks and sun beds which is accessible right from the hotel! Apo Island is right in front of the hotel, a convenient short boat ride away. Wonderful place for snorkeling and scuba diving. The staff was very nice. We highly recommend Mahi Mahi to future travelers!

Germany-
Let me tell you, this is a gorgeous Hotel and we would definitely recommend it. We went there for some relaxing days and diving around Apo Island. First of all the whole staff is so kind and tries to serve you as good as it gets. It's really clean, with nice rooms and the Dive Center is inside the hotel. The offered food is a mix of domestic and international dishes, as a vegetarian you get an extra menu and everything tastes great. Ok, the hotel is a bit outside of town and you have to take a dusty road full of Palm Trees from the main road to get there, but if you want to hang out and relax it's the perfect place. So if you want to have a great time with some fun dives with great people we can highly recommend this place!

Hong KongTransportation into town wasn't cheap but limited public transport means you need to buy stuff you need coming in from the airport.
Friendly staff,. great.food, large clean and comfortable rooms with amenities. Swimming pool is great after a dive. Went during monsoon season so the sea was a little rough with high winds but otherwise, dive operation was excellent

GermanyThe dive gear could have been a little bit better maintained but was safe and functional.
The tame dogs were our kid‘s favourite. They accommodated all our special wishes and even made two diving days at Apo possible just for our family. Great selection of tasty food in the restaurant - also for kids.

Franceunfortunately for the price i would have loved to be able to sleep :) no curtains so the daylight comes in early and wakes you up + they have dogs that will bark all night long it is very disturbing. it is impossible to sleep after 6:30am so for the price not good. the dogs are also very present they want your food so they spend all your meals with you and they do not smell good so good luck eating with a smelly dog on you (if you’re afraid of dogs like me do not book there.)
it was very clean, the restaurant served good food and the view on the sea is very nice.

NetherlandsLocation is far from everything, so good for 1 or 2 nights to see Apo Island. They ordered the taxi at the wrong time, an appology would have been appropriate.
Nice room, spacious. Good pool and nice chairs at the beach. We did a great tour to Apo Island, with a packed lunch. Food was good, but a bit more expensive then at other places. Had a great massage at a lovely location!

United StatesThe Location was great for visitors with private vehicles, very isolated, and the roadway was very narrow passing by farms and houses, the you will miss the Sign of the Resort as it was not visible from the hightway, We passed by it several times when we went to the city center.

United StatesThe location is a bit isolated, but for a couple looking for isolation, it was perfect..
It was a very enjoyable experience, the staff was great but the owners were especially accommodating , going out of their way to take me diving, and after I develop a case of divers ear, they gave me medication to treat the infection..Mahi Mahi is a small but very delightful resort, from the dive boat to the kitchen, everything was well thought out and the food was delicious..I will go again and can't recommend Mahi Mahi ,.. enough..

CanadaThe dogs. They bark constantly and beg for food when you're eating. One dog on the next property was barking well into the night non-stop. I don't get why they have them, they're more annoying than endearing and I love dogs. My only complaint. Oh and the internet isn't great.
Everything! Room was clean and comfortable, great food, very helpful and friendly staff, and incredible diving!

United KingdomIn general, I think Mahi Mahi reaches the ceiling of a resort in the world (from a person who travels to over 15 countries and zones). It could fit in all the imagination of a resort that you could have. I will definitely go back there again. 1. Hospitality - Everyone would say hi to you with a big genuine smile, 'Hi Sir~' 😊 is the most common word I heard there. - Helped to check out everything with Aplipay when I don't have enough cash (which really rescued my holidays) - Delivered all the requirements I had with patients all the time: e.g. helped to book a boutique 🌹 for me so I could propose secretly and surprise my fiance 2. Amazing view with an amazing price - The resort itself is a modern designed place and can easily stand out from other resorts in the Philippines - LOVE THE VIEW OF APO 🐢 🪸 🐟on both sunny and cloudy and rainy days - Even tho the price of food&Diving is slightly more expensive than in the town (Dumaguete), the quality is much better, even better than most of the popular restaurants in Panglao (Bohol) 3. SEA TOUR (Snorkeling, Diving or just laying on the beach) - A private boat that could take you to the diving spots (where you can see all the coral reefs SUPER clearly even that they are 10-20m deep) - NO ONE SELLS YOU ANY DAY TOUR (I went to Bohol later and it was so annoying that everyone sells and bothers you for their day tour) - 👏RELIABLE GUIDE (Talked me through and practice with me in the resort pool before I start diving) - 🥹RELIABLE GUIDE (calmed me down 10m under the ocean when I got panicked) - 👍RELIABLE GUIDE (who took our packed lunch for us even when we forgot) 4. Day Tour - We went to Valencia and saw the most incredible natural hot gas view with some amazing waterfalls 5. LGBTQ Friendly 🌈 There are so many things I want to write it down there...I just love there and it definitely gave me the best experience I ever had when I'm travelling around the world.
