Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumOne of our favorite hotels ever and by far our favorite in the Philippines. The view from the beachfront room is just amazing! Room is beautifully furnished, clean and 2 steps away from the beach. The staff is just wonderfully nice and the breakfast on our own terrace made it all perfect. Would definitely recommend it!

Germanythere is a music venue nearby; this leads to less background noise until about 11:00 p.m.; The hotel can't do anything about that and if it gets too loud, the staff even goes over and complains; should it bother you, earplugs are provided by the hotel it didn't bother us that much because we spent the beautiful evenings on the terrace indeed little overpriced
- really nice boutique hotel with great rooms/bungalows - the staff is super friendly and helpful - very spacious and large wet area/bathroom - great and sufficient breakfast (not included) - good location: 10 minutes walk to El Nido, 10 minutes by tricycle to Marimegmeg Beach

BelgiumThe environment can be noisy (barking dogs, crowing roosters, music from people/bars nearby), but these are just part of the surroundings of the bungalows. Ear plugs were provided in the bungalow, so there’s nothing more the staff can do about it. It didn’t really bother us either.
Amazing bungalows on the beach, very tastefully designed and decorated. The bungalow is spacious and has a great bed, shower, and terrace. The property (only 5 bungalows in total) is located very close to few very nice restaurants (short walk on the beach). It’s a short drive to the town of El Nido beach, making is less touristy but still with plenty of bars/restaurants/amenities. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful (arranging tours, transfers, scooter rental, …), and caring. Very tasteful breakfast. We LOVED our stay!

AustraliaOnly thing everyone needs to be aware of is when you're in the Philippines you need to understand a few things, you will always hear roosters no matter where you are, stray dogs are just apart of your experience and there is no way of keeping geckos and bugs out, so understand it isn't the accomodations fault for these things, it just part of coming tropical country. Maligaya does provide mosquito netting but I find nettings to be quite claustrophobic so I always choose to sleep without them and just spray myself before bed.
Maligaya Beach Bungalows was a treat, from the amazing staff who helped us into the late hours of the late when our flight got cancelled and we needed help organising transport from Puerto Princesa, to the amazing and very tasty breakfast options we had every morning, to the ease of organising tours and being right at the beach front. Maligaya was treat and we wish we didn't split our accommodation up between 2 places in El Nido as the other one was terrible and really made us miss Maligaya.

United KingdomAs some other reviews mentioned, it is quite expensive but we thought it was worth it after staying (especially as accommodation in El Nido is expensive anyway)
The hospitality was amazing - Beve and Ian were so friendly and welcoming. We asked Beve for some information on how to get the ferry to Coron and she went above and beyond - she arranged the ticket for us and all we had to do was turn up at the port. The bungalow rooms are full of character and it’s lovely going to sleep hearing the waves on the beach.

The photos of this property don't show how beautiful this room was. The location was a bit remote and pretty noisy as our room was right next to a public footpath. But the property was stunning and the staff were super friendly and helpful

United StatesThe beach in front of the hotel is little rocky and not swimmable. We went to Vanilla beach which was about 10 minutes by tricycle. This is a white sand beach and very nice. The hotel does not have a pool but who goes to El Nido to swim in a pool.
good location on Coron Coron beach. About a 20 - 25 minute walk to town or 5 -8 minute ride by tricycle for 100 pesos. The staff was great and very helpful ( thank you Bev and Ian). There are only 5 rooms so they can give you personal service to book tours, transportation and what ever you need. The Wifi was good and we had no trouble connecting to the internet for texting, internet calling and surfing the net which was helpful since we did not have cell service on our phone. The room had good air conditioning, toilet, refrigerator, and shower. They only serve breakfast which we enjoyed. There are restaurants near by that you can walk to or you can go into town for lunch or dinner. We really liked the Italian restaurant Bella Vita which was 5 minute walk along the beach and you can watch the sunset while you have dinner. We booked one tour and they came to pick us up at the hotel and we boarded the boat near by so did not have to go into town.

CanadaThey didn't provide a mat for the wet floor. We take our showers at night before bed. The pathway to the toilet doesn't dry up quickly and it is painted black. I was always afraid of slipping from the wet pathway. I had to line the floor to the toilet with towels so we wouldn't slip in the darkness.
We loved Ian! The service was top notch! I forgot my shoes. Ian met me at the front of the property to pick them up. I also ran out of cash. Ian took me to the ATM with his bike. Thanks Ian! The breakfast bowls were delicious as well. January sunsets are stunning.

IrelandIt was a lovely room, but I think the accommodation is overpriced, what we paid during high season certainly for a room only anyway. El nido accommodation was expensive in general- A night here cost us more than many hotels in Ireland. Otherwise we were happy.
Very comfortable, spacious, well air conditioned room with a big bed and a view onto the sea. The staff were extremely helpful and the place was well kept.

One of our favorite places that we stayed in El Nido. Truly the Bungalow is right in front of the beach and a stunning view and you hear the ocean waves every night as you go to bed. the staff were really nice and helped us with everything we needed, they also arranged our island hopping tours for us and recommended us with restaurants to try on the island. The breakfast menu could be improved as nearly all the options included pork and we don't eat pork, however, the staff went out to get chicken sausages for us which was really thoughtful and considerate of them. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the resort to our friends and relatives.
