Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I had a really great stay. I really loved the comfortable bed, pillows that made it easy to sleep and get some rest. The room smelled fresh and clean. I used the smart tv that is bigger than the normal. Internet was fast, and the town is quite and near the most beautiful beaches I've seen on Palawan so far.

United StatesThe breakfast was so-so. I wish they'd serve more than eggs. The bread needs to be toasted.
The room was clean and everything works, including the AC and hot water. Staff was at hand to handle problem, i.e.,broken AC. It was also a good location being near the pier where I conducted field research.

CanadaWiFi was spotty, but it seemed like a Palawan-wide problem, so can’t really blame the hotel for that. Minor complaint: Shower was a bit cramped, but worked very well.
Nice room, building is located a block away from Mango Bar. Staff is helpful; I arrived a day earlier & the staff on site hasn’t received the new reservation that I made, so I showed her my other reservation & se immediately worked on preparing my room.

United StatesI can't think of anything I didn't like.
The location is right by the bay, close to restaurants within a few moments of walking. James the owner was great and showed me around. His main worker, Susan was outstanding for anything I needed and had a great personality. A new and wonderful bakery across the street.

PhilippinesDue to it being low season it was a shame but understandable that the restaurant was closed as this would’ve given us more local options for food
Super clean hotel plus the beds are the comfiest we’ve experienced in the Phillipines so far :) James (the manager ) and the staff were really accommodating, assisting our every need. They went above and beyond to recommend us places to eat and an ideal itinerary of the area in addition to assisting in bike rental and transfer to el nido.

PhilippinesBathroom is just the toilet so it’s quite small… but the shower has good water pressure and properly hot water (which you don’t always get when traveling in the Philippines!) so that makes up for the size. when the Italian restaurant is not open, there are only very very few places in town where you could eat. so better to confirm whether the restaurant will be open before booking.
The room is cute and clean. the roof top area is nice. Staffer is super nice and helped me arrange my travel to Port Barton (which is not the easiest for a solo traveler).

-James (owner) is Really nice guy and also good Italian chef. He knows Palawan tourism very well and would like to consult him where should I visit/stay and how to travel if I could have time 10-15days in Palawan. -In the center of town and very close to local restaurant, mini mart, E-trikes station, etc... -Small but clean and cozy room. -Excellent Italian seafood dinner on the roof top restaurant.

PhilippinesThe bathroom is very small but I think that's taken account of in the 2000 pesos per night room rate which overall is good value for money.
Absolutely the best Italian food in Palawan. The Italian chef prepares meals to order using whatever are the freshest local ingredients available on that day. The slipper lobsters and fish were perfectly cooked and presented and accompanied by a bottle of the best wine (Italian of course) that we had in Palawan.

GermanyThe fact that we were the first guests after the long break unfortunately had a small disadvantage - the highly praised Italian restaurant on the roof terrace only opened a few days after our departure. Who knows - maybe there will still be a chance for us to try it out sometime.
As the first guests after the long Corona break we were spoiled in Marina4rooms. Wonderful Susan prepared us a dream breakfast every morning according to our wishes, which we enjoyed very much on the roof terrace with the best sea view. Owner Eric took his time, showed us small fishing villages and hikes. Who loves lonely, long and untouched beaches is exactly right here. Besides the Long Beach, there is a lot to discover in all directions. Our tip - Don't miss the viewpoint above Santo Nino. The drive is quite adventurous but it is definitely worth it! The small accommodation is very tastefully and lovingly built and furnished. we felt so comfortable that we spontaneously extended our stay.
