Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyMy wife and I recently returned from an incredible journey to the Palawan archipelago, and our stay at Perch for 4 days was nothing short of exceptional. Without hesitation, we can say it was the best resort experience we've ever had. Perch is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of nature, boasting 5 completely independent villas perched on the edge of the sea, offering breathtaking views of the El Nido Islands. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty surrounding us. The staff at Perch were incredibly warm and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the very start. The property itself is relatively new and impeccably maintained, with cleanliness maintained at the highest standard throughout our stay. Each villa at Perch offers a sense of privacy and exclusivity, allowing us to fully unwind and immerse ourselves in the serenity of our surroundings. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the panoramic views of the El Nido Islands, which we were treated to each day from the comfort of our villa. Watching the sunrise and sunset over the horizon was a truly magical experience that we will never forget. For anyone seeking tranquility, relaxation, and natural beauty, Perch is undoubtedly the perfect destination. We left feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and already planning our return to this little slice of paradise. Thank you, Perch, for an unforgettable stay – we can't wait to come back!

AustraliaThere wasn’t anything we didn’t like about our stay.
The Perch exceeded our expectations. It was located high in the hills and away from all the noise. The view was exceptional as well as our host. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Nothing was too difficult. Breakfast was tasty and satisfying and the infinity pool was just amazing.

Australia- No in-house kitchen (aside from breakfast, food has to be ordered from nearby shops in Maremegmeg). - On top of a VERY steep hill; not even the tricycles and hired scooters can get up there. You have to be picked up and dropped off by the in-house driver who is contactable on WhatsApp. Sometimes they are busy and don't immediately see your message. A bit worrisome if you don't have internet reception. Longest wait for pick-up was about 20 minutes, but they usually average 5-10. - Maremegmeg Beach is NOT walkable from this location. - You have to climb/descend steep stairs to get to your little villa. - As it is west-facing, it gets ridiculously hot in the afternoon (and you are discouraged from leaving the AC running when leaving the accommodation). - Cash-only (for deposit and settling pending bills upon check-out). Make sure to bring at least PHP 10,000 with you as there is no ATM on-site. Given the above, the property was quite pricey for what was on offer.
- Most beautiful view in all of El Nido, especially for the sunset. - Gorgeous & comfortable rooms. By far the best compared to all the other accommodation in the area. Bathroom is HUGE plus at it is clean, modern and opens up to a balcony overlooking the beach. - Delicious breakfast. - Beautiful infinity pool. - Lovely and helpful staff with whom we had no issues communicating in English. Responsive to our needs e.g. airport pick-up. - Included in the stay is unlimited pick-up and drop-off to nearby Vanilla Beach. - Secluded and private. Perfect for those slow days where you need to unwind and relax (compared to bustling El Nido Beach and Vanilla Beach areas).

BelgiumYou need to arrange a pick-up by car, if you’re not up for climbing a steep hill, but the hotel staff took very good care of this.
Awe-inspiring views straight from the bed of your room. The interior of the room was equally impressing: it was hard to leave it for the outings of the day. A very quiet location, away from the bustling city center and close enough to the Vanilla Beach and all its facilities.

NetherlandsLocation can't be reached without a car, they were very friendly and helping us with the free card from the parking. But due to internet issues it was always a hassle to ask for the car and get an answer. The name and pictures are misleading and make you confuse it with the hotel near the sea with the same name.
The car picked us up from the airport and dropped us in front of the property. There somebody was waiting for us and tried to fix everything.

FinlandThe AC in the room was blowing towards the bed, and there was no curtain/other solution to prevent this. There was no information presented to us on arrival about the housekeeping of the villa. We stayed for 4 nights and the bed linen was not changed once during the stay. Apparently we should have requested cleaning by ourselves, but we were not told this. The staff was at times watching videos quite loudly in the common area. We had a great stay overall, but the price was a bit high.
We loved the views and the design of the whole villas area! Breakfast was also great. The transport from Vanilla beach worked seamlessly upon request. It was great that the transport was free of charge. We had a relaxing stay.

GermanyThere was nothing to complain about. We were very satisfied.
We really enjoyed and loved the accommodation. The breakfast was really very good. The whole hotel including the room was very clean. The staff always kept everything clean and were ready to help at any time (1000 thanks to Mayette by the way - great service and could always help quickly). The pool and the view are magical. The room had wifi, air conditioning and everything you need. The bathroom has a rain shower, which we really liked. The transport service offered to get down the mountain was also great. We would book this accommodation again any time we come back to El Nido.

FranceUnfortunately there were hidden costs such as water bottles and whenever you would ask the chauffeur to be dropped a bit further than the usual spot. It’s not about the money but more about communication. I think it would have been better to communicate those costs in advance.
Whether you are in the infinity pool or from the bedroom, the views are stunning. The room itself was spacious, super comfortable and the shower with a view was definitely a big plus. The common areas are perfect to relax and have a chat if you feel like it. The private chauffeur is definitely needed to get up and down between the beach and the property as it’s super steep and the property offers one which was awesome. The staff was absolutely incredible, always here to help to make everything easy.

AustraliaThe villa isn’t situated smack bang in the town centre (~12 min drive away) which wasn’t a problem for us at all but something to be mindful of.
The property is situated high up on a mountain with unbeatable views. The staff are very attentive and polite, looking out for tourists every need. The room was beautifully curated, spacious, and very comfortable.

LatviaThe villas are located very high, on the mountain, but there is a shuttle service to McDonald (the base of the mountain), which must be ordered via WhatsApp. But in case if it is busy, then you will not be able to get there, because even tuktuks do not go there (the mountain is very steep ).There is no permanent person at the reception. And in principle, there are not many staff, 1-2 people who speak normal English. ( the driver and the girl from WhatsApp ) . There is no kitchen, but you can order food from the beach, it will be brought to you, but for an additional fee. Breakfast must be ordered in advance, I assume that it is also not in place, the breakfast itself is very average. Water and coffee are provided, no juices or refreshing drinks are offered. They don't have a coffee machine either, so it's just black coffee, if you want milk, they put a pack of milk on the table and you need to tell them to bring it separately in something or warm it up. There is a bar on site, but there is no barmen. No snacks in place. They have very beautiful swimming pool, but water filtration does not work in it, there is also no shower to wash before and after the pool. The staff can bring breakfast in pajamas (I think for this level there should be a uniform, or at least some similar clothes). Dishes and cutlery are dirty and broken ones. The air conditioner is very noisy in the room, and finding it right in front of the bed is dangerous for people who are sensitive, you can get sick. Beach towels are provided only if you ask. I think that the price is overpriced very high for such a service. You need to work very hard on the service!
The view is absolutely fascinating! Very stylish, beautiful rooms. The room is clean, good water pressure. There is a refrigerator and water in the room.

ArgentinaOnly that there is not direct access to the beach maremeg Meg. But they offer to drop and pick up there
The calmness of the place! Is like in the middle of the jungle, the birds in the morning. The view is awesome!! We wanted to experience another hotels because of location but really we regret that we didn’t chose this vilas for the entire holidays. There is no place in el nido like this villas. For sure we will come back and stay there the full time. The management is really caring about the guests in all the needs, they contact you to offer you a transfer what is really helpful as in the airport el nido there are not taxis as is a small airport. Thank you very much for everything!

United StatesThe view is amazing. We had a quiet, private, and beautiful villa. The manager was awesome. She allows you to message her on WhatsApp for easy communication. She gave great recommendations and was very helpful. They provide a free ride back and forth to the hotel because it is up the mountain. The lobby has an amazing view and an infinity pool that was relaxing. We were offered drinks and we were able to relax in the pool while we waited for our room to be ready when we arrived.

NetherlandsJust the WiFi connection, it was not possible to use it for any streaming services in the room, the signal is quite weak and the speed is not good most of the time.
Great staff, they arranged amazing tours for us, we kept always communications regarding breakfast or transport, we never had any issues and they were always friendly with us. The place feels quite exclusive, since there are just a few houses for rent, so it's a nice place to relax.

United KingdomThe downside is the location, it is on the top of the hill, no signs of where to go (though you will receive message from hotel admin about directions). Hotel do have a courtesy car to drop off or pick you up from from Vanilla beach/ Macdonald otherwise you will have to climb a very steep hill yourself. To reach town you will need do grab a tricycle. The other thing to mention, villa cleaning is done only on day 3 of your stay. I would suggest it to be done at least every other day but it is only my personal opinion.
The sea view villas are just amazing! View from villas is spectacular. Staff super friendly and helpful. Very quiet area, only 6 villas currently so you do have a lot of privacy. Awesome experience!

Hong KongWe encountered some minor setbacks while checking in (no on duty staff, no induction & unclear instructions). I reckon the place was slightly overpriced, given the extent of service we received. This is a fairly new hotel so I understand staff might lack experience on greeting and briefing guests. We had to actively consult staff to learn about the service offered and rules. Their friendliness and helpfulness has eventually made up for it. There could be more hotel amenities to make it a more convenient stay, bathroom essentials/hair conditioner etc.
A lovely retreat with impeccable view. Property is located on a private part of the mountain so it’s super exclusive and quiet. After exploring a few spots for sunsets, I’d say our hotel balcony has by far the best sunset view. Overall, our room was clean, newly furnished and nicely decorated. Despite some minor inconvenience during check in, the staff, particularly Mayette, was very attentive throughout our 8-day stay. Driver was helpful to take us up and down hill to McDonald’s which was super handy.

United KingdomI really liked Perch but only thing for others to be aware of is it’s high up on the hill so can’t walk to the beach - the view is worth it and they are always on call for a 2 min lift down
Such a peaceful stay! Calm and honestly amazing views over Maremegmeg and the islands. Room was really well appointed and firm comfy bed, beautiful view from the shower. Mayette and the staff were kind and very chill, and made getting a lift up the hill always easy. Breakfast was delish, recommend the Filipino option

Outstanding and amazing views of the surrounding islands. Well worth paying extra for your own slice of paradise on the hilltop. All staff are extremely friendly and always on hand to assist you. For the fit and healthy you can always walk down to Vanilla Beach, but the villas have an fantastic driver who is on call to take and pick you up to save your legs. The breakfast is prepared and cooked fresh each morning, yummy!! The Zipline is 50 metres away and it is really nice hearing people enjoy themselves on the way down. All our boat trips were organised through our Villa hosts and both tours A & C were fantastic, with the best ever crew on board (Lovelyn 5).

United StatesOn two occasions, we had to wait for the cook to arrive to prepare the breakfast for us. Apparently he has to come from the town of El Nido itself so we had to wait for him.
The location was magnificent: whether it was morning, the middle of the day, or at night the view from the dining area was spectacular. The food (breakfast) was delicious. We did not have a vehicle with us but the staff was always willing to drive us to McDonald's (Vanilla Beach) when we had to go somewhere and pick us up there whenever we were on our way back.
