Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe staff in the restaurant is really long and nice however they need to be more attentive to guest and guest requests. I ordered a fresh orange juice at breakfast and they forgot to make it ( it happened 3 times). The food in the restaurant is “ Ok” but could be much better. If they could make a more various Menu, would be nice. There are no Salads at all, Only 2 dessert offer and No once cream at all. No fruit plate options. No yogurt options when they have healthy bowls on the menu ( never available). No vegan milk available for milk intolerances. Champagne and prosecco, always sold out. Restaurant tables were not cleaned at new guest arrival so i had to ask for it. Overall, food and beverage site need improvement in service and food menu.
Located on the most beautiful beach of El Nido, This resort is new. The Rooms are really cozy and bed is comfortable. Bathrooms are huge. There is a big tv in each room. The staff is really nice, especially at the reception. Special thank you to Merla, Alvin and Hana for their amazing work. Breakfast is really good. but need some improvement. The sun beds for guest on the beach, free of charge and the beach service where you can order drinks and food. The hotel is away from town and the taxi van is 700 pesos round trip .

Australia1. Distance to the town. Since the government hasn't invested in the road between El Nido town and Nacpan, there is 15mins of very rocky and unpaved road where you'll be bumping around in the tricycle. After that it's smooth sailing, but this portion makes the trip longer and more expensive.
1. Beautiful room and surroundings. Thr room is spacious and clean, with a calm energy. Its also just a shirt walk to the beach which is wide and peaceful. 2. Staff were so so helpful and lovely to deal with. They made our lives easier and helped us find tricycles to get into town as well! Special shout to to Hannah and Alvin! 3. You may see turtles hatching!

Switzerlandlocation has pro and cons. it is very far away from El nido so and if you want to travel alone to other places the provate taxi will cost approx. 35 euro each way. The massage here is a service but not a real professional one from real therapist. There are too many dogs on this beach and they are at all time next to you when you eat in the beach restaurant. Overall i paid euro 200 per night and although this is a nice hotel, the price is a way to expensive.
The big rooms, the staff, the breakfast, location

United KingdomStruggle to fault this place! It was our favourite and we stayed in eight hotels in the Philippines! Only issue is the cost of transport to El Nido and it takes about 40 mins as the road is in need of work. So this adds cost to your excursions. My boyfriend didn't want to leave the stray dogs behind as they were so friendly and cute!!
Loved this hotel! The beach is gorgeous! The rooms are big and modern. Staff are always smiling and greet you. The glamping pool is small but nice, very friendly security guard that is happy to chat about the turtle sanctuary. The restaurant is very good, great cocktail menu and food choice, live music every night!

SingaporeThe road to get to the property was rough, but this is the responsibility of the local government vs hotel management. It is also not very close to city center and you will need 45mins to an hour to go to El Nido beach for the island tours. Minor inconveniences and overall not a dealbreaker for us.
Beautiful, tastefully furnished rooms and superb beachfront. The staff were professional, polite and very helpful. They have a sea turtle (pawikan) hatchery and it was a one-of-a-kind experience to watch baby turtles being released into the sea. Great value for money and highly recommend if you’re looking for a family-friendly resort in El Nido.

Canada- There is a sewer smell in the lobby - They have a policy to not eat in the rooms but apparently people are still allowed to eat inside. a bit confusing. - The sunbeds can be rented by non guests so sometimes there’s not enough for guests - No closet. But there is a clothes hanger inside the bathroom. - Pool is small
- Purified water stations everywhere - Located in front of the beach - Food quality and taste is good and not overpriced - Breakfast is amazing - Friendly and helpful staff - Restaurant in front of the beach - Minimalistic room designs - They support the environment with their turtle hatchery, planting and harvesting some of their vegetables, refilling water bottles - They have live band - Beachfront cleaned everyday - Check photos on IG: @aventure.kit

If you would like to visit El Nido in one of the Palawan islands, I would highly recommend the Napcan Beach Resort Hotel. A short drive North of Lio airport and situated right beside a most magnificent 3km beach. The staff in the whole hotel are excellent, led by Hanna, Danica, Alvin and Merla. The Filipinos are such a friendly and welcoming people it is a joy to be with them. The beachside restaurant is very good and the beers are ice cold! The local musicians accompany lunch and dinner - and they are also excellent. This place may be far away, but it is truly a tropical paradise and well worth the effort to travel there. Enjoy - we certainly did.

SwedenThe only downside: If you have booked a transfer from the airport, get it confirmed with the hotel a few days before. They missed our reservation and we had to wait an extra 30 minutes.
Nice new smaller hotel Perfect location by the beach with a restaurant in between. Parasol, beach chairs and beach towels are included. Incredibly nice shallow beach with fine sand, no rocks or corals. Very few outsiders, so it's calm and no mess. Cheeky rooms with large showers. Beach view rooms are recommended. Very nice and helpful staff.

GermanyI feel like for the money you pay there a room service should be done, or at least they should ask if you need one.
The location was just perfect for a beach holiday :). The staff was friendly. All drinks in the minibar were for free and also for the restaurant we got some vouchers (service in the restaurant was not great to be honest, but okay, food was food though)

It was a great place to stay! Staff are so warm and friendly! I like the remoteness of the place, it remains natural. I hope it stays like that. The road access is not good towards the resort. The rooms have minimalist and massive size! We enjoyed the massage! Great band and singer! We all love the restaurant and the food. We got a fantastic set up for a birthday! Thanks to all staff, Danica, Hannah, Alvin, Ronald, Imerose, Armando, Gemma, Jandef, Bren, Mayeth, Steven, Samboy and all. Thank you all! From my friends, We had John security of glamping- Very friendly and approachable. Makes us feel very safe and secure. MJ at the counter- He is a super Hero. Ever ready to hear your concerns and suggest the best options. He made our stay so memorable and was with us in every step of our stay. He is the BEST. Jake- restaurant - He was fun and very attentive to us in the restaurant. Micheal - supervisor - very friendly and approachable. Super efficient and Charming 😉 Elsa and team-masseues- Touch of heavenly hands and so humble. They provide amazing massages. We were well taken care by them.

United KingdomNot the hotel's fault/problem, purely a location thing. Sand flies everywhere on the beach, wish the hotel would provide protection or a forewarning to bring protection as it did have a massive impact on our experience. The first beach we visited in El Nido that had them. As the pool is in the next door resort, is quite small with no view and no real drink service the beach is the only option. So having the sandflies constantly attacking you & being constantly itchy with 0 relief does begin to annoy you by day 2 😅 We came prepared having read the reviews with Deet Level 9 protection spray & coconut oil, but even that wasn't enough to keep the sand flies away. You will spend your day itching and covering yourself in fly spray. Be warned that you will get stung in the sea from the plankton 😅 Their Sunmai restaurant is way overpriced for what it is. Don't get me wrong, the dinner is good, but expect to pay a minimum of PHP600 for 1 item. Drinks are minimum PHP 350 each. If you walk further down the beach there are local restaurants serving just as delicious food, but for more like PHP100-200 per item. Even with the dinner money off vouchers, still very expensive. Breakfast is terrible, not worth getting a room with breakfast included. The breakfast buffet is non-existent there are flies over everything, and I left feeling short changed. Wifi is pretty slow and cuts out due to bandwith, standard El Nido though! No ATM to take out cash - come prepared. You can pay with card at their onsite Sunmai Restaurant though.
Very very friendly staff more than happy to help you out with anything & always greet you with a huge smile, free minibar full of water, coke and sprite, complimentary toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, soap, alcohol spray, toothbrush set), tasty dinner menu & freshly made pizzas in their pizza ovens & money off dinner vouchers, 4-6pm happy hour BOGOF on cocktails, netflix and amazon prime smart tv, free beach sun beds & umbrellas with drink/food service. Large room with high ceilings, hairdryer, laundry service, shuttle service at a price.
