How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

A bit pricey for the backpacker budget but the quality of the accommodation reflected this price.
Very comfortable stay. The bedroom and bathroom facilities were some of the nicest we’ve had in the Philippines within our price range as backpackers. Good breakfast.

This was a delightful stay !!! It was SO CLEAN like spotless and smelled amazing ! Honestly I could not get over how clean the rooms were ! Breakfast was very nice and free coffee, free water and lovely staff! Such a good value for money this one ! We felt super safe there also !

Unfortunately we experienced many power outages whilst we stayed which meant no water or aircon so was not good, but it’s not the fault of the hotel! Location is perfect for the airport but not good if you want a holiday there, there is nothing to do in the area close by without a bike.
The owners are SO lovely. Very sweet people who go out of their way for you. Arranged pickup from the airport for us, and arranged minivan to port Barton. Breakfast included was very good. Lots of options. They upgraded us to a huge rooms when the room we wanted was bunk beds instead of double. Thank you! Very clean.

The rooms are a bit odd. There is a kitchen with plates, bowls and cups but no cutlery or means of cooking or kettle (although hot water is available in the communal area). Breakfast is very basic just one fried egg, toast and jam (no butter). Nowhere to hang any clothes or space for clothes or cases. We just had to get clothes as we needed them out of the case. Shower wasn’t hot.
Very clean, spacious rooms and quiet (except for barking dogs). Free water dispenser to refill bottles. Very good value for money.

nothing really.. the kitchen didn't really have much other than a sink and a fridge. but we were able to use the kitchen facilities and the hot water boiler theres a few cockerels around locally and a cleaning sink on lower floor echoed the cleaners noise at 6am all up through the void between the blocks.

Nothing to dislike really. Maybe a bit too quiet for some but it is within walking distance of the main areas or you can get a cheap motorbike taxi.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Very large room with everything we needed. Super clean, staff were very helpful. Nice quiet location and has it’s own well stocked shop and a couple of local eateries across the road where you can enjoy some friendly banter.

Room was very clean, breakfast was possible during the whole morning and wifi worked perfectly. Stuff was super friendly and the view from the rooftop was nice surprise!

Rooms were very brightly lit.
Super helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and modern accommodation, about 15 minutes by tricycle from the airport. There is a restaurant called Badjao close by - highly recommend for seafood.

Cold shower, would be 10/10 if we had warm water
The apartment was very very clean!! Staff were so helpful and friendly :) We enjoyed the dinning area, with complimentary breakfast and water machine. Quiet location and motorcycle rental available :)

We encountered there’s power interruption during our stay. They should have a stand by generator. We don’t have light & the room is so warm for several hours. The railings of the veranda is not safe specially for the kids with very wide gaps. The stairs are so stiff & not safe for the kids & the elderly.
The staffs were so pleasant & accommodating. The place is clean.

The large spacious rooms were really clean. the first thing I noticed when I arrived was how fresh the room smelled. The refrigerator in the room was really helpful to keep our drinks cool. Check in was really smooth and there was always someone at the desk..Breakfast was delicious and cooked exactly as you liked your meal and the nice thing about breakfast is that you could choose the exact time you wanted it to be served. The food and beverages were piping hot. A convenience store was located right at the entrance to the hotel for access to miscellaneous supplies. The staff were really friendly and eager to help. Genuinely nice. They even got me a motorbike delivered and picked up at the hotel and put together a DIY self-guided motorbike tour itinerary for the day.

Everything! Benji, Rachel, Abe and Remark looked after everything for us to be comfortable, welcomed and well looked after. The room was spacious with aircon and fridge. They made us feel like family and were very open regarding all information that we needed. Also, they let us check out later because of our evening flight. Thank you for your great hospitality. I recommend Nober Pension with no hesitation! Great value!!

No hot water and a 25/30 minute walk from most things but you could get a tricycle from outside.
Super clean, big room with comfy bed and good aircon. Breakfast was really tasty and staff were friendly and helpful.

The apartment was fantastic value for money and super clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and arranged our tour to the underground river and our transport to port Barton. The cooked breakfast each morning had lots of choice and was delicious.
