Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. TaiwanLio's newly opened hotel! Before booking, I checked and found out it's actually the first overseas hotel by Piece, my favorite hotel brand in Kyoto, Japan! The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk to the beach. The room has big windows with a view of the forest and a Japanese-style design. The bathroom is made of stone, and there's a small kitchen for cooking.

TaiwanThere were still some ongoing work being done at the hotel but the staff did explain this to me prior to arrival.
Was a delight to stay at this brand new property in Lio during my visit to El Nido. The rooms were much much more spacious than I imagined and I love the high ceiling windows that gave you a bright view of the natural surroundings. The beds were comfortable and it is much more quite compared the hotels i have stayed in town. You can tell they really put in the work on details in terms of the room design and furnishing. I also love the pool and surrounding. Will definitely come back again.

CanadaI would say that this is definitely the best hotel in the Philippines. And this hotel is the most satisfying one in my 14 day journey in El Nido. The location of the hotel is great. 2mins drive from the airport to hotel and 1min walk from hotel to Lio beach, which is where I like to go for sunset run. They have hotel transportation to town as well. The hotel room was soooo AMAZING, high ceiling with remote curtains is my favorite thing that really blew my mind in a third-world country especially in an island like El Nido. The room is equipped with a small kitchen with cooking facilities for perfect for my midnight snacks. A kettle, refrigerator, and capsule coffee machine. There are wine glass, artsy plates and coffee cups. The bathroom has separate toilet and shower, by the way it’s also remote controlled TOILET with heated seats. I like all the details they provide in the room and hotel services. I like being close with nature, the hotel is located in the forest, surrounded with big old trees and palm trees..I was lucky to see a Palawan hornbill just passing by right in front of my big french window. Sometimes, I see monkeys and squirrels jumping around playing, and maybe some people wouldn’t like that. But to me, it brings different cozy feelings. The room is really QUIET and it makes me feel so safe. I’m such a light sleeper. But I was able to adjust my jet lag and have quality sleep on all the nights. I’m so appreciative to all the staff in the hotel, they are so welcoming, their suggestions of the travel tips are so great and they made me really felt like home. Thank you Piece Lio. You make my journey the best and gave unforgettable experience in El Nido. Xoxo

PhilippinesThe hotel is fairly new so there were some finishing works on the ground floor although that did not bother us since the place was generally quiet. It's so new I think we were one of the first few in that property!
The property is inside an Estate they call Ayala Lio which is a very safe neighborhood, with security personnel day and night. We were able to run in the morning and watched the sun rise against the beautiful mountain backdrop from the Estate itself. We tried running in the afternoon and the view was even better. The hotel is so near the beach that you could go there anytime. Our room was on the third floor with a very high ceiling! Probably the highest hotel room ceiling I've seen. We were surrounded by trees and my wife even saw a monkey. Literally we were one with nature while in a very high-end hotel.

PhilippinesStill ongoing construction at ground floor but the staff told me it will be until end of May only. But not a problem coz didn’t bother my stay.
Located near Elnido Lio Airport, they provided a nice and open buggy to pick me in the airport. That short drive going to the hotel was very relaxing and quite an adventure for me. Nestled amidst of the forest that gives more private and peaceful feelings. The rooms are a sanctuary of comfort and serenity with full height glass panels giving you a panoramic view of surrounding trees with monkeys and squirrel. For someone looking for relaxation away from city and people I highly appreciate that the rooms has kitchen with utensils and staff were really helpful providing what I need so I don’t need to leave the room. Their bed and beddings was my favorite, warm and cozy. Smart toilet and water pressure is a plus for me. Additionally, the hotel dining area beside swimming pool with a serene gardens provide a perfect &. aesthetic backdrop for your morning coffee and breakfast. I ended up taking more photos 😂 Beyond its physical offerings, what truly sets apart as well is its commitment to hospitality & service. The genuine smile from the staff. I was welcomed and cared throughout my stay. Overall, Piece lio is more than just a place to stay; it’s a sanctuary for soul. I will always consider coming back to this place in the future to seek healing and peace. Thank you piece lio.❤️

TaiwanThe Resort may not be serving food because it has just opened, but there are many restaurants nearby which does not affect the overall stay experience.
The overall aesthetic of the resort is both sophisticated and inviting. The use of natural materials like wood and stone, combined with open spaces and lush greenery, seamlessly integrates the resort into the surrounding landscape. The attention to detail in every aspect of the design is evident, from the beautifully landscaped gardens to the thoughtfully designed rooms and common areas. Each space is meticulously crafted to provide both comfort and a sense of tranquility.

I recently stayed at this resort and absolutely loved it! The forest view from my room was breathtaking, and the super high ceiling added an incredible sense of space and luxury. I have never seen a hotel built like this before – it's truly one of a kind. The unique architecture and design make it a standout destination. I'm staying at the Piece Lio Hotel, which is part of the same chain as the 22 Pieces Hotel in Kyoto, Japan, where I previously stayed. This is by far the best hotel I've experienced in El Nido. The rooms are incredibly spacious and it's conveniently located inside Ayala Land, right next to the Isla Amara Hotel. There are nine restaurants nearby, although the hotel itself doesn't serve lunch or dinner.

The property is fantastic. I have been to el Nido many times and most of the hotels there are pretty average (beside maybe H hotel in town and the villas in Nacpam) but this hotel had amazing rooms with huge windows, felt like waking up in the middle of a rainforest in the mornings, also very spacious room with comfortable beds.

PhilippinesNothing. We were well informed that Piece Lio is just on their soft opening when we stayed and some outdoor facilities are not yet completely done and functioning except for the pool, it didn’t affect our stay at all. Because it was compensated by the efficient & excellent service of all the warm and friendly staff.
Piece Lio is perfectly located in a very serene place, giving you that much needed refreshing and restful night’s sleep as it gives you that forest vibe yet only few steps away from the pristine Lio beach. The loft room is elegantly designed with a touch of homey vibe complete with a fine dining set up, remote controlled curtains, two bathrooms, Nespresso coffee machine, filled mini bar (all free but not refillable which are more than enough), two ACs (which will make you wanting to just stay inside the room the whole day and avoid the outdoor burning temperature) & a lot more to enumerate. We were even surprised when we saw the set of Dyson hair blow dryer in the bathroom! When night time approached, we enjoyed just sitting & chatting on the comfy couch with all lights off inside & watching all the lit up trees outside through the high and wide glass doors looking so magical. Piece Lio will definitely leave a print of beautiful memories that will last in your heart.

PhilippinesProbably the most beautiful hotel in El Nido! The room we got was facing a forest, so the trees were a magnificent view to wake up to and there was full privacy for us. We loved the feel of the room– very cozy with impressive size and finishes considering other hotels we have seen in El Nido. With the great in-room amenities and excellent service from staff, we'll definitely be back here in this paradise!

PhilippinesMy family recently stayed at this hotel and I was very impressed with the amenities they offer. The swimming pool was clean and inviting, perfect for a relaxing afternoon swim. The lobby was beautifully decorated with a trendy aesthetic that made me feel like I was in a luxury boutique hotel. What I loved most about this hotel is its dedication to nature lovers. The surrounding area is lush and green, providing a peaceful atmosphere for guests to enjoy. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat with great amenities and a touch of nature." It sounds like the hotel is in its pre-opening phase, where some rooms might still be under preparation. Despite this, guests can enjoy the fantastic service provided by the staff. Additionally, the complimentary airport pick-up service adds convenience and value to the overall guest experience. This early glimpse of superior service and thoughtful amenities sets a promising tone for the hotel's official opening and future success. The rooms in this Japanese-inspired hotel showcase high ceilings, contributing to a spacious and open ambiance. The aesthetic design features a minimalist approach, incorporating clean lines, simple yet elegant furniture, and a soothing color palette. Guests can expect a tranquil and harmonious environment that promotes relaxation and mindfulness during their stay. The combination of high ceilings and minimalist design elements creates a unique blend of modern sophistication and traditional Japanese aesthetics in each room.

PhilippinesRight now, there's all this hustle and bustle from the ongoing construction when you step outside. You can even catch a glimpse of the hardworking workers. But don't worry, this phase will pass. I'm so excited to see this place fully open! I can't wait to experience the amazing atmosphere from the inside, which will surely radiate to the outside as well.
Let me tell you why I chose to book this place, even though it's relatively new. When I first saw the pictures, I was immediately impressed. But you know what? The reality was even better! Although they are still working on some parts of the property, the overall vibe is incredible. What I love the most is how it feels like home, surrounded by lush greenery. The melodious chirping of birds and the gentle sway of leaves make you want to stay forever. And guess what? They even have a vintage record player that adds to the cozy atmosphere. As a working person, having a proper working table was a big plus. The place is spacious some rooms are high ceilings, and while some rooms are not, they all exude a truly natural ambiance. It's worth mentioning that this is the first condotel in Elnido. Now, let me talk about the service. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly hospitable and accommodating. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped with modern amenities. I was particularly impressed by the smart toilet bowl. As expected from a condotel, the room had a kitchen, a walking closet, and a comfortable sofa. Although I'm not a coffee lover, I was lucky to have my espresso machine in the room. They also provided a fridge, and there were other options available as well. They have a pool area, and although the restaurants are not yet operational, the staff assured us that they will be soon. One of the best things about this place is its proximity to the beach. With nearby restaurants, pharmacy You can easily walk there and enjoy a breathtaking sunset. If you're an active person, you'll appreciate the jogging and walking opportunities nearby. And let's not forget how convenient it is to be close to the airport. I can't wait to come back and recommend this place to my family and friends. It truly made my stay in paradise unforgettable!

PhilippinesI stayed at Piece Lio with my wife and our 1 year old baby. I've stayed in a few other hotels in El Nido, and I have to say this hotel is the best by far! In a quiet, safe in Lio, the place surrounded by trees. My baby loved looking out at the windows because everynow and then he would see cute wild monkeys in the distance. El nido still has a lot of wildlife, and this hotel is doing its part to preserve it. They preserved as many trees in the middle of the hotel as they could and integrated it into the design. The lounge and infinity pool is surrounded by trees. The rooms are amazing, very comfy bed, nice sheets, soft lighting. big couch to lounge on and read a book. Huge windows looking out to the forest and nice lighting. The toilets are all automated and the seats are warmed which was a nice extra detail. Just a close walk to the beach. I like that it's not directly on the beach because sometimes privacy can be an issue. but it is nestled in a small forest super close to the beach. if you want to be at the beach it is there. but you still have your privacy. the staff are all super nice, and they were very attentive to our needs. it is a new hotel, and at the time we were there the hotel had some construction work going on on the ground floor, but we barely noticed it. all in all, we loved our experience and hope to be back soon! incase you are reading this still, and want restaurant recommendations close by, I would recommend Wantusawa if you like seafood and Oysters! they serve really good oysters. 🙏🏽 Lamoro Hill bakery is nice if you want coffee. I think they roast their own beans. Yoga tayo serves really good and healthy meals. I would recommend the sautéed squid!

PhilippinesI wish someday there’d be a cafe inside! I feel it’s the best place to enjoy my coffee 😍🫶🏼✨
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Location: Its location is very prime since it’s inside the Ayala compound in Lio, El Nido. The beach was very accessible, just one minute walk. There’s also a drugstore nearby where you can buy groceries, food and water! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Condotel in El Nido: The architecture of the entire condo was very intentional. It is really one with the nature. You’ll feel that you’re in the most peaceful and serene place on earth. The swimming pool in the center of the condo is a PLUS. You can chill and relax at the pool side with your friends. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Room Facilities : The internet is so fast. This is very very impressive because a lot of places in El Nido have no/ very slow internet. The rooms have built in stove and there are other kichen equipment such as refrigerator, nespresso coffeemaker, smeg kettle and many many more! It has everything I need and more. 😍🥰
