Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaSituated outside of Port Barton on a private palm beach, this is a great, authentic stay. The amenities are all run by solar power. The cottages are lovely and the outdoor bathroom is a real charm. Everything is provided, breakfast on the beautiful beach with the feet in the sand. The restaurant offers great homecooked food, as well as a barbecue on the beach. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Can highly recommend this beautiful stay.

United KingdomOne thing we didn't love was that food wasn't served til quite late, nobody would take our order til after 8pm and then it would take a while to come out. Not really vegetarian options either.
We loooved this place. It was a highlight of our trip. After staying in hostels for a while, this beach hut with a balcony facing the most gorgeous private beach and ocean was amazing. The staff were friendly too and offered us an island hopping tour which was in just a small group and also a real highlight. The hut was rustic but really nice, we all had a double bed each with mosquito net, and the outdoor shower was really cool.

United KingdomThe accommodation is lovely however they rely on fans in the rooms and because it’s solar powered they don’t last all night and it does get very warm! But that’s the experience and was doable but maybe not for some!
This place is lovely, if you’re wanting an island get-away then this is the place to go. John and his staff were wonderful, very attentive and easy to chat to. We did a private boat trip with price johns and it was great! They provided the best lunch we’ve ever had! Definitely recommend!

FranceThe beach in front of John's is a bit rocky but walking around the corner is a beautiful pristine white beach. One of the bathroom and toilet needed repair.
Great outdoor facilities. Quiet and authentic beach holidays. John's place is near waterfalls and fantastic white beach at walking distance.

NorwayTo much noise from the roosters right by the bungalowe. And it was terrible to see the monkies tied up with a chain.
Really good food. Calm and few other guests. Good place for relaxing.

PhilippinesEverything in Prince John is superb! The view from our room is what we dream of, the staff are very accommodating and John made our stay very comfortable. John personally made sure our vacation was comfortable, he arranged our van transfer from El Nido to this beautiful paradise and took us back to Puerto Princesa with his own car. We also enjoyed island hopping, kayaking and the amazing sunsets. Thank you for making our vacation a very memorable one and we will definitely come back soon! 😊

United KingdomAlthough it wasn't a problem for me, the trip from Porta Princessa airport takes a long time. This only became a problem when we needed to get to the airport for a 10am flight at the end of the holiday.
It was a very relaxed location, lovely beach and the fresh food cooked to order on the bbq was great. The beach front accommodation in the comfortable beds ensured a good sleep

LithuaniaIt was our last stay in the Philippines and the best stay. I just love the idea of reaching this place by boat from Port Borton. The owner, Prince John, is a really good performer. He welcomes every guest and all guests can feel special. Location is amazing, the view is beautiful. This place provides all day food and drinks, prices are reasonable. Also you can choose an all day tour which I really recommend, the tour was relaxing not rushing. Bungalows are simple but you will have everything that you need, open air bathrooms are very stylish. Wi-fi in the restaurant area works perfectly. Especially I want to mention the boat captain (sorry forgot the name) and Romeo, those two guys were very helpful and polite. Best regards to them.

United KingdomThe beach itself is nice enough but getting in the water over the rocks was pretty tricky, a little boardwalk/jetty would be a great edition.
Our accommodation, Bali Bungalow, was fab. Waking up to the sand and the sea everyday was a treat and the balcony hammock was a fav spot for a read. John and the team all great and the food was very good. We loved the dogs and the wildlife. Waterfalls are lovely to visit and swim in. Beach massages thoroughly enjoyed!

Beautifully designed bungalow huts with open air shower. Lush vegetation around the resort, isolated from mass tourism. Great atmosphere for dinner at the beach incl. bbq. Manager pays attention to detail and makes sure everything runs smoothly.

Rustic, back to nature property. Lovely beachside location and a nice island hopping tour with a great lunch. Unfortunately weather was windy so no snorkelling but very enjoyable. Nice choice of meals and drinks-all good 😃take sea shoes as rocky when getting off the boat.

PolandElectricity generator can be quite loud if you have a standard bungalow located near to it. However it runs only around 6 to 9pm or so. Beach is beautiful but in sea it's old coral reef - not particularly good for play or swim in the sea. Just some things to be aware.
Location is excellent. Breakfast is delicious, especially home (fire?) baked baguettes. Snorkeling trip was nice and I bet it would be even better if the sea was not so rough that time. Going to nearby waterfalls is a nice walk, through secluded beaches.
