Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is a curfew at 10pm that they lifted after we asked them politely. The bed was on the small size and it was very noisy it kept us awake
Location was great and staff also, there’s a nice doggy and the owners are really sweet, the room was spotless and the air con was strong. It’s a very simple set up but all you need for a short stay

PhilippinesWe were not able to enjoy the night life at its peak on weekends in Calle Crisologo due to the curfew hours of the property. We went back before 10pm to not incur charges.
Everything was clean, ac is cold and it really feels like home. The owners were also very accommodating and nice.

Philippinesneeded to call the staff every time when going out and coming in. it is a locked facility. i understand it is for our security and safety but it is not good for those in a hurry. there is also a curfew around 11pm (as courtesy to them, because the staff need to rest also) there is a rule that you can’t bring food inside the room. there are tables and chairs outside that you can use though.

What I love about Prosperity Inn is that it's near the center plaza which you can only walk. The room is very clean and comfortable. The price is very practical as well for backpackers like me and my husband. The owners are very kind and approachable. They can easily provide simple things that really matters e.g. umbrella, safety pin, toothpaste, soap, shampoo..👍

CanadaToo many rules that you have to sign before getting into your room + a safety deposit of 1000php and the fact that i needed to asked every time to get out of the property or getting in because the owner lock the fence everytime. I felt like jailed, not free at all and it's my first time such a thing in the philippines. Im 40 and having to ask to get out felt like i was 14.... just my personnal feeling though
The location is good the place is clean and confortable. Just seen a cacaroach in the bathroom.( big one )

AustriaI was not aware, that payment had to be done beforehand via direct transfer (which I could not do). After I requested them to cancel the stay, I was able to pay at arrival. The room is next to the reception and towards a rather busy street. The water pressure is bad and the socket next to the bed didn't work (there are others)
The location is good and the personal is nice and helpful. The room had a good AC.

PhilippinesThere is a curfew, they will charge penalty if you go beyond their curfew hour at night. Limited parking space. Their rate is quite expensive for a transient house with very standard facilities and no breakfast compare to the rate of other inn/hotel in the area with good facilities who offers free breakfast during Holy Week season.
Clean and very accessible to Calle Crisologo.

CanadaThis stay had a lot of firsts for us. First and only time we have been locked in the property behind bars and had to ring for owners to unlock every time we went in or out. Seems like a hazard in case of fire. First and only time we have ever been asked to take our garbage with us. Rules in this place caught us by surprise and seemed overbearing and odd. If we had known this before hand we would not have stayed there - but no refunds so we had to suck it up.
Very clean room. Warm water shower. Good quiet central location. Near a very good karinderya. Good wifi. Good value room. Vigan was wonderful. Glad we got a chance to experience the old town and friendly people.

Luxembourg- As a travel Vlogger and been travelling all over the world i was surprised for the very first time to pay ( extra charged ) for an early check in. I didn’t expect we were going to be charged because we arrived early in Vigan ( between 9-10 am ) after 8 hours travel from Pangasinan , i even told them the day before we were not informed about that though the room was “ready coz we were able to leave our bags and go out instead of paying 100 pesos per hour and wait until 12 pm just to pay less coz we were so tired . I never heard a policy like that coz i am also a owner of condos ( Guest House ) in Manila and i never asked my guess to pay an extra charge for an early check-in especially if coming from a long trip but thats okay i was just surprised ( atleast now i know ) - Sad to say room is too small and no windows, the blanket is a bit small for a couple ( i should’ve asked for an extra but it could probably another extra charge and i don’t want to think about it :( - The bathroom is clean but it was really difficult to take shower coz the water pressure is too low so we had to stay longer to be sure that we’d rinse well but not having Hot water it was a Tabù :( - No Tissue in the toilet but i guess it is normal here in the Philippines to find some Hotel who don’t provide it. All over, for 2 nights it was Okay.
- Location is perfect, it was easy to find from where the buses stop and many shops around and 5 minutes to 10 walking to Calle Crisologo - Staff and Owners are nice, very sociable and always Smiling. - Price is okay for few nights - There are two places in the same street where to eat sinanglaw and other local cuisine for a good price.
