Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesWe stayed in the Villa for 5d4n. The staff are very accommodating anything you ask them they are willing to help you out. The owner directly messages me asking if me and my friends enjoyed our stay. He was very kind to answer all our inquiries before we arrive in Siargao and even made suggestions on how to get to places. The Villa we stayed at was very spacious and comfortable. After a long day of touring the island, the picturesque view of the ocean and quiet surroundings or maybe a dip in their pool will get you ready for next day of site-seeing. Thank you to the owner, Ron, Ate Mae, Ate Cathy and Kuya Jesper who were very kind enough to help us out. The kitchen was very helpful since all you need are already there and it will also save you a lot of money. It is truly a bonus. The staff, the Villa and the place are perfect combination for a peaceful, relaxing and awesome vacation. Never stay in Siargao for less than a week ‘cause the place has so much to offer.

GermanyPrice for value unfortunately not good...I expected a refund of some sort but nothing was done. The shower pressure was too low and the water was cold. When we called for support they could only change it to boiling hot and I got burns. So I shower cold most of my stay. The toilet did not flush for almost 2 days, the seat was moving around and at some point even broke off. There was no hair dryer.
I really love the design of the place and also that its a bit away from the city centre... amazing views :)

United StatesThe food is good but they only offer vegan food and also serving is slow. They serve good coffee but if you want filipino traditiobak food u might have to go out for breakfast.
i really wanted a beachfront hotel/villa which this property offers. Kinda far from general luna drive is about 10-15 min. So you have to rent a motorcycle or ride a tricycle which is really no problem because the staff will help you. With that, staff is accomodating, friendly and approachable. So is the owner.

PhilippinesI didn’t like that the glamping tents were extremely hot - I knew it was non AC anyway but didn’t think it would be that hot. There wasn’t really a breeze from the sea and the two fans were only comfortable at night. During the day it was so hot. In our first tent on the second floor, our stand fan didn’t oscillate. I had hoped the toilets had stronger flushing & a bidet would have been nice. I noticed most places have bidets now anyway, especially cos we were not allowed to flush the toilet roll down the toilet, it was difficult to clean up after doing a number 2. The price of the mango juice changed while we were there. On the menu, fresh juice was at P120 for the first two breakfasts we had. On our last breakfast I noticed “mango juice P180” was written at the top. I didn’t realise this affected our previous orders from the last two breakfasts so I had paid more than I had expected. I was not informed. It would also have been nice to know prices of additional requests to food like yogurt - staff did not tell us it was an additional P100 so I did not take this into account when we were budgeting. There was a power cut as well on our fourth morning. It was fine cos I know how tricky electricity is on an island, and generator came on so we were fine. Then around 5am, generator stopped and we had no power for the rest of the morning. We were only there til 6:45am anyway but we were sweaty getting ready and was not able to charge one of our gadgets. Reached out to them via insta and got an explanation though so all good. Just wished the generator kept going until power came back on.
I liked the vibe and the peace & quiet. Staff were accommodating with all our requests, including calling us trikes, borrowing cutlery and especially when we wanted to move to a ground floor tent so we could be on the same floor with our bathroom. We were initially in a second floor tent with our bathroom on the ground floor, that was a bit inconvenient. Staff were also good at offering us refreshments after coming back from our day activities (island hopping, land tour, etc) I liked the breakfast options, they are on the pricier side but they were delicious. And staff were accommodating our food requests as well.

Hong KongThe worst experience one can imagine for a vacation arrival. This property failed to provide the necessity. There was no electricity, water, not to mention AC or WIFI on the evening of check-in. The entire property had a black out, no staff was around, it was pitch black and pouring rain (no emergency light or a candle in the villa). The living room was leaking water, we felt unsafe and could not sleep. The owner was on vacation with bad receiption and said this is a recurring problem for a few months, but we spoke to the hotels where we stayed previous nights in General Luna and Malinao, they all have power generator back-up to avoid total shut-down. In this extreme circumstance, we had to immediately book another accommodation for the next 3 nights. The owner first agreed to refund us. He changes his mind the second day, said he cannot refund us for only one night of problems, that we cannot cancel the next nights. "I am running a business, it is about money." He said. It was impossible to argue with the owner, he repeats about his 9.0 points on booking.com. He had no consideration for guests' comfort, safety. The fundamental fault is - you can't expect your guests who pays 250 Euros per night for a villa to live in a camping situation! We received zero refund or any compensation from this hotel, we departed in morning at 9am. It was unacceptable we question the basic credibility of the property. Also a note the villa was very dirty, the glasses are full of stains, the power came back in the morning but no water. The kitchen was closed at 6pm while we were told the last order is at 7pm. This property has four tents (50-80 Euros) and one villa (250 Euros), the conditions are the same.

United KingdomUnfortunately, despite the property being on the coast it it very rocky and you can't go for a swim from there. The nearest beach is good drive away. Getting a taxi rides is a hassle from and to the property so you need to rent a scooter if staying here (the property offers this service though, so it is a major plus) The restaurant only has breakfast food or snacks. There is a delivery app (if you get wifi) but otherwise need to go to town for meals. All in all though our biggest issue was the wifi. We had it for 1,5 evenings out of the 5 we stayed here.
The room was very instagramable and beautiful. It was the main reason I booked the place and it matched the pictures and more. The bed was very comfortable and view from the room was gorgeous. Staff were very friendly.

Portugalthe hotel is doing some construction and they start before 8 am, which makes a lot of noise and wakes up all the guests. this is unnaceptable, as people come here to rest and relax and it’s impossible to sleep in with the noise. the bathroom is cute but the water pressure was weak and the temperature not enough having jn account it’s outdoors. the food of the hotel is completely vegan and not very tasty :(
the room was beautiful, the view from the room amazing and the decoration super cute. it’s exactly like it is in the pictures.
