Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe cottage was very cosy and clean! The hosts go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. All destinations on the island are easy to reach by scooter from there. There is a communal kitchen, but for delicious food I can highly recommend the Hidden Huts, which can be reached in 10 minutes by scooter.

PhilippinesThe hut was too cute! A lot of times "nagduko2" ko sa hut. Still good for the price though. I also saw spiderwebs inside the huts and the bidet holder fell :( the blanket and towels were so thin. So I adjusted the AC coldness for comfort. The restroom was new to me. It was good for solo travelers and short people. The roof was transparent too, I was a bit worried of my privacy and some insects came inside cuz the roof has some space above the AC. The shower water pressure was weak so I opted to use the pail and water dipper. They were karaoke sessions during the day and night. (They seem normal to me as a local but might disturb other guests)
Peace ambiance. Local province vibes. Approachable and friendly staff!! Shoutout to John and Rhea! They even suggested places that I can go to during my stay there. The owner was so kind and patient to me since I kept on asking her questions as to how to go there. So she suggested to pick me up on a tricycle at the port and Kuya Leni was so friendly and nice! Eventually, Kuya Leni was my tour guide for 2 days :) take note, i was a solo traveler but i was at ease with the tour with Kuya Leni and John. They were nice and did not offer a high price for the tours. They were humble too.I love the breakfast meals, corn coffee and buko as the welcome drink! The wifi was a plus! But if gets rainy, the connections becomes weaker (understandable since it is located in an island). Love the free shampoo (high quality) and liquid soap. They have a water dipper and pail too. If you wanted to relax and have some ME time, go here!! Huts, lovers swing, "duyan" were awesome!!! Walking distance to Timubo Cave but is distant to the beaches and other tourist spots. Overall: 9/10. Will be back soon!!!! Salamat sa hospitality!!

United KingdomIt’s a little bit out of the way so you need your own mode of transport or a driver to take you around like I did. People at the hotel can arrange is for you. Saying that you are close to a couple of beaches and a couple of attractions.
Really cosy dorm with its own kitchenette, and drinking water. Each bunk had a privacy curtain and own plug and light. Lockers also provided with a lock. Shower room and toilets across the corridor.

SwedenI loved it
It was romantic, small and cozy, two floors, it was so nice, i highly recommend, nothing to complain at all. A tip, rent a motorcykel driver for a cuple of hour since the place is not in town but a bit outside, but so peaceful, calm, and nice, 2-3 minutes walk and you can take a bath in the underwater cave.

RussiaGreat place to enhance the feeling of island life) I actually felt like I'm in my grandmother's village at the moment. Also everything is very well done for trendy camp style hotels and looks nice. The staff is very helpful, they provided me with a bike at a very good price and even took it to the seaport when I arrived. All in all, a great choice, especially for the price.

Thanks to Rhea, Nanay Nenita, and Rey(naldo) for the warmth welcome and for arranging everything including the tour. I loved the humba and corn coffee. Highly recommended and will be back soon.

Top stay from A to Z. Owner was helpful beyond normal scales :) The place is affordabe, romantic, maybe limited on space but pretty well built and nothing important was missing in the cottages. Some genius mastermind design here! The hotel is excellently placed and totally peaceful (well apart from barking dogs). Thanks guys for making our stay in Camotes even nicer. We were choosing between this "tropical punk" and rich resort, choose adventure and never regretted even for a second. A place to be for romance, vibe and nature lovers and little adventurous people.

PhilippinesWhat I like: The location was not far away from main tourist attractions although this would largely benefit those who have cars or motorcycles. We stayed there for 2 nights and enjoyed every bit of exploration. It was very peaceful and instagram-worthy. Staff was very friendly and pleasant; I got more than i needed and in fact, they gave us free iced tea upon arrival and rice coffee free of charge. I know it's not much but that kind of amazed me since things like that are rare these days. I would suggest you give them tips. They were very accommodating and made our stay extra special. I like that the place was very clean and everything seems new. I hope they're able to maintain it. Breakfast was simple but delicious. You can have a good coffee in the morning while enjoying the view. PS: My heartfelt gratitude to the 2 ladies who were nice to us.
