PhilippinesThe room was huge! Very regal and came replete with its own living room, flat screen TV (with Netflix), water dispenser (no need to buy water). Great for relaxing! They have their own beachfront and cabanas to hang around. The entire hotel has only about 15 big rooms which means you can be sure that they will have time for you. The owners are super hands-on. I travelled alone but they made sure to make you are looked after! Staff are super friendly too! Warmest in the island. So if you are looking for a real retreat in the island, this is the place.

The owner, Jason and his partner, Heri, were the most accommodating hosts. Every dinner we had at the hotel came with a complimentary wine bottle. Jason also let us taste his cocktail mix (Soju+beer+lemonade), which we enjoyed a lot! Heri also gave us free homemade ice cream that was very tasty! Their team was very responsive and nice, especially, Jo, at the reception.The Korean spread in their menu was just what we needed during our vacation. We liked the samgyupsal and Korean soup. We had the resort all to ourselves for a few days before new guests arrived. The resort was very nice and clean. We enjoyed taking our breakfast every morning at the gazebo which is infront of the beach. The swimming pool is also our favorite! The hot water in the pool was so soothing after a day of touring the island. We liked everything at the resort and we cannot wait to be back again! Thanks Jason, Heri and the team for your very nice accommodation! You guys are awesome!

PhilippinesUnfortunately like many parts of Siargao, this location suffers from spotty wifi. There is better data access at the huts near the ocean-front than the wifi in the room for example, while also the restaurant has acceptable wifi. If you do not drive a scooter and rely on tricycles, this place might be a little too remote for your liking.
The property combines the best of a garden resort with direct beach-access, and mind you, this is not the rocky-beaches that are custom around Cloud 9 resorts, but actual sand beaches. The pool is huge, the rooms are double the size than the average Siargao room-size, and warm-water showers were guaranteed. The staff is amazing and the Korean food selection is definitely worth a try.

NetherlandsFew things I didn’t liked: General luna was not a 12min walk like mentioned but a 12min drive! Walking would take you around 1 hour I never had warm water in the shower. Always cold-ish There is no shade created at the pool area, which makes it way too hot to spend time there Breakfast starts at 7.30 which is way too late. Most people wake up very early. 6.00/6.30 would be a much better time

SwitzerlandThe Management, totally not customer friendly and the fact that they gave us a scooter not registered (illegal to drive - imagine if the police would have stopped us) that broke down and they even tried to claim back from us the transportation costs for taking the vehicle back to the hotel!!! This happened after waiting hours for renting the same and we had to wait again hours for a replacement scooter that never arrived. The staff at the front desk also has a not polite attitude, especially after comparing the experience with other 3 hotels on the island in which I stayed. Breakfast ends at 9 so if you want to enjoy a relaxing vacation definitely go somewhere else. Rooms are spacious but the furniture and the facilities in general would have need it a full renovation already 10 years ago. When winds blows or it rains you have the same in your room despite the windows are closed. This hotel is among one of the worst I have ever been in over 18 years of travelling.

PhilippinesThe food especially breakfast, it says filipino food but it really is korean. Kimchi fried rice and kimchi porridge. The Airconditioning on one room we booked is not getting cold. The hotel building have clothes being dried everywhere. There is a balcony but smoking is not allowed.

SloveniaVery old facilities, needs lots of renovation, rain was leaking thru all windows and doors which have more than 2cm gap when they are "closed". Toilets and showers are outdated, keys for room are "joke"
Location at the quiet beach is great, pool looks nice but we had 5 days non-stop rain. Minibar was loaded which is not case in asia, most interesting is that at checkout we do not need to pay for what we drinked. Asked 3 times-it is complimentary.

United KingdomThere was virtually no WiFi there which was very annoying as I needed to do an hour's online work each day. I had to take the laptop down to the beach to get decent 3G or else catch a taxi into town. They should say they have very poor WiFi on their description, as it is misleading. The big TV didn't receive any channels and though they give you Netflix access, it is useless without WiFi. If you don't have your own transport it is sometimes hard to flag down a tricycle as the property is a couple of km from town. The big refrigerator in our room was very noisy at night. No sunshades/umbrellas on the loungers by the pool or at the beachfront. Take cash as they don't accept credit cards. I didn't have cash and had to do a bank transfer which ended up being a pain and necessitated a call from the resort owner seeking assurances it would all go through.
Breakfast service was excellent, as was lunch and dinner. Especially recommend the Korean BBQ. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Nice big room with aircon and sea view. Bed comfortable. Nice pool. Right on the beach.
