Yes there are some roosters in the neighbourhood, but thats nature and nothing anyone can complsin about! Also they provide ear plugs for light sleepers😉

Great Location and such a lovely place! The staff is amazing, so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, with aircon which is also really quite. Breakfast is amazing, you can choose from different options.

The property is clean and close to everywhere, the Panagsama beach for sardines and many restaurants and spa. All the staff are very friendly and the property sends useful messages about transportation and things to do in Moalboal before my arrival. And they help book with itineraries for local travel experiences. Also, they have a cute chatty cat who kept welcoming me when I came back from outside everytime!

Amazing location right in centre of moalboal a few minutes walk to where you do sardine run. Staff organised our canyoneering trip too which was amazing. Rooms very very basic however they have everything you need and also kept spotless which is most important part The breakfast was our favourite part the pancakes were amazing and great portion size.

Maybe a little pricey for the area but good value for money anyhow. Breakfast time starts at 7 am which is a little late if you're diving early.

Wide choice of breakfast and very decent taste (The Filipino egg and corn beef was surprisingly good and the pancake was delicious) Entrance guarded all night. Rents quality scooters with space for parking inside the gate. Location is perfect. In walking distance of all the diving centers, the waterfront and the restaurants. The bedroom and bathroom were at western standards, very clean and comfy. Great shower. Luggage storage and independent shower we were able to use after checkout.

I really, really loved this accomodation, and it was the perfect spot for my 4 nights in Moalboal. The location was very central, easy walking distance to many restaurants, dive shops, the beach, etc, and just off the main strip so it was nice and quiet. As a solo female traveller, I felt incredibly safe and welcomed here - the staff were super friendly and helpful. It was great that there was 24 hour staffing, so there was always someone to welcome me back when I got home, even if it was later in the evening. The road down to the guesthouse is a bit bumpy and dark (still some construction going on), but it is only short and there are plenty of other accomodations along the way so it doesn’t feel unsafe. I was able to organise canyoneering, snorkelling with turtles and sardines, and return transfers to Cebu City directly through the guesthouse for good prices, and everything involved pick up and drop off at the front door. The staff were also able to provide advice on mask/snorkel rental and how to get to White Beach for an afternoon - they were always happy to help and answer all of my questions. There was also a folder in reception and in the room that provided advice on activities and their prices, and recommendations of where to eat. The room was spotless, including the bathroom which had a rain shower head with great pressure, and overall it was a perfect size for me. Ear plugs were provided, air conditioning worked really well, and the wifi was strong throughout the property, including in the rooms. I liked having a balcony with chairs out the front, and railing to hang clothes and towels on after the beach, and the bar area was also handy - I especially enjoyed lounging on the bean bags in the afternoons, and the gorgeous Donkey the cat who was hanging around. The included breakfast had some good, basic options, and it was delicious and generous serves - served at any time of the day, meaning I could sleep in as long as I wanted!

Too many plugs in resulted in the air conditioning turning off. I don’t recommend having the fridge plugged in if you want the air conditioning. Would be better if there was less amenities if it means the ac doesn’t turn off in the middle of the night

Roos is a cozy guesthouse with only 4 units. The staff and service is exceptional, better than any western 5-star hotel. Staff are always available and helpful, and being small, every guest gets personalised service, on demand. On arrival we got a cold wet flannel and refreshing fruit drink. The rooms are very comfortable, great shower, bed and aircon. Each room has a nice balcony so you can also relax outside. The location is perfect, close to the beach and in the middle of restaurants, left and right of the road that leads to Roos. We recommend Roos but be quick as it isn't usually available, hence the 9+ rating from all guests.

The staff were so nice! The hotel is close to the restaurants and the bars in the town but is still very quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable, aircon was great, and the bathroom much more spacious than most of the places that we stayed in the Philippines. Laundry on site was done very well.

Great communication/information from hosts, both through booking.com and in-person. Rooms were perfectly comfortable and clean, property itself is set off the main road making it a great base in Moalboal. Breakfast included was tasty. The reception/breakfast area was peaceful and serene for breakfast and to relax at after a long transfer from Cebu City. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Moalboal either short and long term.

The room could do with blackout curtains as it’s not so dark. The wifi didn’t work several times (during peak times), so don’t rely on this if you need to do work remotely.

Comfortable stay, the staff are very friendly and also helpful with arranging tours, transfers etc. Breakfast was great. Room 4 has a lovely view of the blue sky and coconut palms from the bed :)

The family are so friendly and attentive, felt very much at home and well looked after. The rooms were so comfy and clean, even had an air purifier as well as AC, I wish we could have stayed longer! The breakfasts were absolutely amazing (I’ll miss the pancakes) and there was always water tea and coffee. The location was perfect for everything we needed during our time in Moalboal and the family gave us lots of recommendations for food and activities. We had to leave early on our check out day to catch a flight and we even had a packed lunch made for us! Can’t recommend this place enough

What an absolute gem in Moalboal. The vibe and location was just perfect. Staff were so warm, welcoming and friendly. We felt like home!!! Werner helped us with booking a canyoning trip and was always happy to talk with us about anything and everything. Delicious breakfast, best one in this part of the island. It was close to everywhere yet comfortably far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The roosters were simply cute and we didn’t mind one bit. We will definitely come back ❤️ thank you to Werner, Hanna and everyone for making our stay so special.
